Saturday night was a disaster. It first started with a call at 5pm to let me know the car I ordered broke down and I had to get a different limo. Ok, no big deal, but calling four hours before to tell me this is ridiculous. The 'second' car was supposed to pick us up at 9pm so I called at 8:50 to see when it will be here only to be told the limo got into an accident, but there will be another car to pick us up in 15-20 minutes. I figured, ok, no big deal. 20 minutes goes by and no phone call so I call the dispatcher and after being on hold for 15 minutes (yes, 15 minutes) I was told the second car you sent also got I to an accident. At this point I thought I was being pranked but it's now 9:45, and we are running really late. The dispatcher was really nice about everything but I mean how do two cars get into an accident and the original car I ordered break down. The third car showed up and the driver was really nice about everything that happened. Unfortunately, there was no champagne (which I knew already), but the car had half empty glasses of liquor and drinks. Yet again, not the drivers fault, he was filling in since the other cars were not available. In the end, I know 'shit' happens, but three cars into this debacle, and arriving 45 minutes late in Brooklyn, means I will probably not use your service again and will not recommend you to anyone. At some point, there is no way, two cars got into accidents. I just don't believe it, you were probably overbooked and I got left out in the 'rain', literally Update. 9/10/18. The company called me and apologized for everything that happened on Saturday night and took half of the cost off my bill. That is what I call customer service folks. I will call them next time. SO glad I ended up using Luxor! I just wanted to treat someone with a town car to take them to dinner for a significant birthday, and found Luxor online. I made the reservation on their website, and communicated completely via email. Their customer service is outstanding -- I had to make a few changes to my reservation, and they responded quickly and efficiently, keeping in communication regularly as well. Our driver was early, and I received a text letting me know where he was. He was super nice, and the car was spotless and very comfortable. I recently used Luxor Limo for an all-day work event. I shopped around the NYC area for competitive pricing and Luxor was definitely willing to compromise on pricing. I spoke with Anthony, who was able to give me 10% off the deal. I booked only a week in advance with no issues. We got the 24 passenger minibus for 12 hours. We traveled round-trip to / from NYC, to a few different stops upstate New York. Our total price was $1900, which included tolls, tip, and tax! This was also a selling point compared to other companies I called. The bus was spotless! So comfortable. It looked brand new. There was an amazing sound / tv system. This bus had limo-type seating in the back, and the front of the bus had 3 tables with 4 captain seats. So spacious and comfortable. The bus also came stocked with bottled water, canned soda, and ice buckets for other food or beverages. The driver was also courteous and drove safely. An A+ experience. If I could put less than one star I would. 400$ ride to the airport. Driver shows up at 450pm for a 415 pm reservation. They tell me when I ask for the free ride they so proudly display on their website that clearly states 15 min late =free ride. that that doesn't matter and they'd give me 40$ off. I gave them a hard time cause I want them to make right on their business and give me the ride for free. They laugh at me then say okay 100$ off. And then they start with the excuses. Traffic etc. none of that is anyone's problem but the company providing the service. I would NEVER recommend using this service. The car wasn't in good condition the driver was messy and laughed when I said I wasn't paying. Very very poor service. BEWARE DO NOT PAY WITH CARD BEFORE HAND. Used Luxor for a limo from LGA to NY this morning and they were great. The driver Nader was excellent. Used them to send someone to Newark airport this evening. The driver Jose Rafael came in a stretch limo and wouldn't bring it down the narrow street (that other limos regularly come down) so waited in the main street - without letting me know. Then when I walked to the main street and found him he started shouting at me about the size of his vehicle and how he had earlier parked across the front of the lane and the doorman had of course told him to move as he was blocking it - as if it was my fault. We rented a 36 passenger from 6:30am till way past 9pm. Our driver was Ernesto. He arrived on time, was very courteous. The bus was very clean and looked brand new. The road conditions were bad where we were going (Hunter Mountain) due to the weather (a full on snow blizzard) but he was pretty good on the road. The reason I'm giving this a 4 is because I had called Luxor MULTIPLE times to let them know we wanted a vehicle with wi-fi. They assured me MULTIPLE times we would get one. The 8-passenger cars we were picked up in were clean and smelled fresh, the drivers were courteous and on-time (which was most important to us) and the price was exactly what they quoted - including the tip. I decided to call in my reservation, to which I was told the price would be close to $600. I asked about the discrepancy, and he told me the online price was wrong, and it's $600. I ordered a limo for my daughter's function in 2 months. I was given my reservation number by the person I talked to. I was also told to fill out the authorization form, and fax copies of my credit card and license. I did as asked but the fax did not go through 3 times. I called the company and got another number, that one did not work either. Today I got an email asking for the same authorization form. I emailed the issue so they told me to screenshot my License, Credit card copies with the form. What???? Who does that. Why would I send my info via the Internet to this company at this point. Not at all identity secure. I called to tell them I had to cancel. The gentleman told me there was a 25% cancellation fee. He told me that he would not charge me, I guess at that point they did not get my info in the first place. What a shame, they seemed like a professional company. Found these guys through craiglist, and after using them, have mixed feelings. While I was able to get a favorable rate for the services contracted, you definitely get what you pay for. We used these guys for two airport trips, and a multi-limo loop service for a exclusive party, taking guests from the NY Hilton to Greenwich Village, rate at about $100 per hour, inclusive of tips, tolls and taxes. The trips to and from the airport were done in an older black 10 person, nice, but nothing to write home about @ $200 per. They used that same black stretch for our party, and added a stretch white Chrysler 300, which very nice. For the evening of party, the black car was on-time, with the white car being 40+ minutes late. The black car kept overheating, causing the drive to stop and prop up the hood to cool it off, burning valuable time and further delaying our loop times. Plus the drive in the white limo took his sweet ass time, taking 50-60 minutes for a loop that was taking us 20-25 minutes in taxi's and 30-35 with the black limo. In the end, they were late, burned excessive time with mechanical issues, wasted a ton of time while 'on-the-clock' and bailed out the minute the contract expired, despite the time that they still owed us. Next year, we will be looking for a different service for our corporate event needs. read more

After waiting over 3 hours for a train to Manhattan in 2014, I thought it would be a good idea to book a car service for after the race. I booked online and it was quite easy. That is the last good thing I have to say about this company. The driver was stuck in traffic and was unable to get us. Nobody called or attempted to contact me to inform me of this. I was told this when I called after waiting for the driver over a half hour past pickup time. After several attempts to reach the driver, he answered the phone and really had no idea where he was or how long it would take to reach us. After relaying this to dispatch (another phone call), the dispatcher tried to blame me for his driver getting stuck in post race traffic. Horrible customer service. Our experience was great. the sales staff who helped book the cars was great and always friendly and accommodating as we switched cars, times, etc.. a few times in lead up tot he wedding itself. We had one 2015 escalade for myself and my groomsmen to go from the hotel to the church, we then had a S550 and Spinter Limo for the bride/her dad and bridal party and lastly a regular car for the wedding planner to run errands in. All cars were on time and all drivers were friendly and accommodating. Bruce the driver for the S550 stayed with us for like 12hrs and he was promptly there and very accommodating after the ceremony, after the reception and during/after the afterparty. read more

I contacted the driver that we went into a different gate and he told us that he would be there on a couple of minutes and to be watching for an escalade with blinking hazard light which made it easy to spot him. Within a few hrs a car picked us up at our hotel & loaded in ours bags & took us around Manhattan & Brooklyn then dropped us off right at the front door of the airport. My only complaint would be that the driver never talked. I was not happy with my driver. He showed up on time and the car itself we fine. But, his driving was appalling. He consistently exceeded the speed limit a few times getting up to 100mph and always at least 20 mph over the limit. He recklessly wove in and out of traffic and he continually was tailgating. I really appreciated that our driver was on time. I booked this pretty last minute so I was grateful that they were able to accommodate my needs. They were wonderful with communicating with me. I was confident that my ride was going to be on time and I really enjoyed the online chat as I booked my reservation. It was helpful to ask questions as I went. My driver wasn't the best driver...it was a 5:30 am pick up so luckily not many were on the freeway but a couple times he was busy with the navigation or map on his phone and not fully attentive to the road. I didn't ever fear for my life because the freeway was pretty open but I thought it was unprofessional to be doing that as you drive. It would have been better had he done that before we pulled away from the airport. I would use the company again but I hope my driver would do better than that. Car Service does its job I hired a sedan and driver to take us from our home in the Hudson Valley to JFK. The car was clean and nice, the driver pleasant, but he didn't just drive forward and back, but also from side to side! As in, he kept switching lanes on the Thruway and playing "chicken" with other drivers who he declared were trying to "cut him off". I was vomiting by the time we got to the airport. So, beware driver Steve. And we were in plenty of time for the plane--it's not like he had to race the clock. Also, we could have lived without his stoner stories. Then, four weeks later, came home with another driver. Car was beautiful, he took care to get my specific soda and snack, I really liked the driver--but my impression was that he had never driven outside of NYC and Long Island. Although he was very professional, he didn't know that my drop-off address was 3 hours away from pickup! No one had warned the poor guy! So all right, I got what I needed, but I don't think very much of the company. If I can get another car service next time, I will. read more

I was in contact with the driver numerous times and not once did he or the limo service tell me I was getting billed while he waited. They had nothing to tell me except their policy was in my confirmation email so they weren't liable or had no intention in giving me any sort of refund/credit. I called to get a quote for a couple hours of limo service for a friend's birthday and was so amazed by the professionalism and top service by the person I spoke with on the phone, in addition to the reasonable prices (came out to be $35/person for 2 hours), that I booked without even checking out competitors. I immediately got an email confirmation. Exactly on time, I received a call from the driver and we went outside to this beautiful stretch Lincoln Limo. The inside was very clean and the ceiling was changing colored lights. It was awesome and the birthday girl was very impressed. There were plenty of sodas and juices for us (BYOB) and there's a great stereo system if you can figure it out (i.e. hook up to anything with BlueTooth - we didn't figure it out, but decided it wasn't worth it, so listened to the radio). Our driver was careful and courteous the entire time, waited for us as we went in and out of places and informed us when our time was nearly up, so that we could be taken to our final destination. Boy oh boy, where do I begin.? This company has such a great website so I just knew that when I was looking for top of the line service for my grandfather's/pastor's funeral, Luxor would be the perfect company for our needs. Let's start with the representative by the name of Nessa. She booked and sent confirmation numbers via email for 3 vehicles. While sitting at the viewing (2/12/15) for my grandfather, I get a call telling me that I no longer had 3 cars and they could only provide me with 2. Really?! Of course I was very annoyed and asked for a referral for another company to get me the 3rd vehicle. I got a call back saying that they had located a 3rd vehicle for me, so I figured all would be well for the funeral. The night that I got home from the viewing, I called because I was told that I needed to send in the authorization form which was fine, but considering that my cousin (who's accountant called in the payment) was no longer available couldn't get the form to them since it was after business hours on her end, they told me that they would not send the cars out for the funeral (2/13/15) I was beginning to get upset. When I asked the reason why, Rayfor (who I later was told was only a dispatcher, not a manager like he told us and very rude after a while if I must say so myself) gave me some crap about fraud. I thoyght he was joking because they already took the deposit from the card provided. Not sure if you feel like reading on, but yes there is more. On the day of funeral, the cars arrived in time, but as they were pulling in, I noticed 3 different styles limousines and I was think "Oh Jesus!". Would they have sent Obama different makes and models of cars or the same type of car? Then what made it even worse was that one car had a paint job so bad that you would think my 2 year old niece did it and the other car looked like it swiped lots of other cars before it got to us; it was so scratched up. I would never use this company again, especially for multiple vehicles. Hopefully I will get a real manager when I call back on Monday (like Alexis advised me to do) when I give my verbal complaint. It was my 25 wedding anniversary celebration and we had a great time taking the limo with our kids and friends around NYC. Booking the limo was easy and Anthony gave us a discount for the day. Our driver, Abdel was very nice and took us to some great locations for photo taking. He was on time and very patient. The only thing I negative I would mention is that I could not get any of our iPhones to connect with the stereo system, either wireless connection or wired connection via USB. Abdel didn't know how to do it. We had lots of younger teens and 20 somethings year olds with us who were very tech savvy and they still couldn't get our music to play in the limo. I had created a special music playlist for the day so it was disappointing that we could not play it. In spite of this, I would use them again as their customer service is very good. read more

Yelp needs a negative rating system to show how displeasing this place is. It is common sense if a customer wants a copy of their FULLY paid invoice ahead of time, just give it to them. You do not tell them to wait until the ride is over. Luxor limo needs to properly train and hire competent people who know what they're doing. Each customer service agent gave different information which was pretty irritating. Get your facts together. They were prompt to answer questions beforehand but once they took your deposit and credit card info, they took their sweet time to get back to you. Similar to one of the reviews below, they try and make you pay for THEIR MISTAKES. I had rented a sprinter limo van but was provided a standard sprinter because they were having problems with the lights. I find it hard to believe this place doesn't have the same vehicle as backup for instances like these. It is not my fault you didn't check the vehicle earlier in the morning knowing a client reserved it for the afternoon They wanted me to pay limo sprinter van rates. This place should be called Thieving Limos. They take advantage of the drivers and I'm surprised they haven't reported them to the better business bureau.
