I booked this service in advance to pick up my father who was arriving internationally. They called me literally the moment they were scheduled to pick him up to tell me that their car broke down and they wouldn't be able to do it, and that they have no one else to do it either. Absolutely ridiculous. Because my father was flying in from out of the country, I didn't have any way to get ahold of him to even tell him that the car he was waiting for wasn't going to arrive. Why is a professional car service using cars that break down so easily? It doesn't make sense to me. They tried to remedy the situation by giving me the number for another car service that "has cars waiting there," but when I called that number they informed me their service is for members only and their closest car was over an hour away. read more

Both rides to and from JFK were good with courteous drivers! The surprise after the fact was an extra charge of $45 for my return trip. I was told there was an added time fee since they allot a 30 minute wait time for domestic travel. My flight landed, Delta is a huge terminal and once off the plane at gate 50 something it's a very very long walk to baggage claim, where I WAITED for my bag as soon as I had it I called the driver. Apparently it's on me that the terminal is enormous, a long walk and had to wait for my bag to come down! I can't control that at all and it becomes my problem!!! I was told the manager would call me, 4 days have gone by, NO CALL!!! WATCH OUT for the extra fees! And no call, 0 for customer service!!! read more

I cannot check in as the service HQs are a good distance away. But we have used Harrison Car for more than a dozen trips to and from the NYC area airports over the last two years. This is noteworthy, as we had been a customer of the same service from 1991 to 2014 - when Leros, the heavyweight in the local market, and the acquirer of L&J Limo in 2010 definitively demonstrated they could not care less about their customers. Back to Harrison. They have made reservation a snap, offering on line, a smartphone app or traditional call in options. Unlike that other big company service that has zero personality and is focused on completing the reservation in the fewest seconds possible, with Harrison you can enjoy a brief conversation with another human. The Town cars are clean, smoke free and on time for pickups at our home, and they keep in constant touch throughout dispatch of driver, arrival on site AND a pic, name and phone contact direct to the driver. Unlike Leros, they charge for actual tolls rather than the maximum possible, there is no fuel surcharge, and while pricing is high compared to your local "taxi" service, we are totally pleased with the people and the process. read more

Made a reservation several days in advance only to receive a call as I was boarding the plane on the way home to be told that they had no drivers available for the pre-arranged ride. Wedding Disaster!!!! Booked a Sprinter Limo for my daughters wedding. Confirmed day or two prior with Brendan. About 20 minutes before pickup he calls to say the car"broke down in Queens" and he was trying to get us another car. Long story short... he EVENTUALLY sent a couple black SUVs I believe were Ubers after way too many phone calls. The bridal party missed being able to take photos outside. OHHH... and he said that 4 bridesmaids were in the car on their way when they were CLEARLY still in the hotel lobby and one of their dad's had to drive them to the venue. When I called about that he wouldn't take my call. Thanks for the added stress, Harrison Car Service. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. One star bc 0 isn't allowed. read more

I cannot say enough about this service. I was on my way, from Yonkers, to pick up my daughter at JFK. My car's 'check engine' light came on and the car was definitely not driving right. It was after 7pm, so my mechanic and car rentals were closed. Luckily I found Harrison's in my search on my phone. I am so glad. From the first call, to the multiple texts from the office (Brenden)confirming our details and our driver, Jeff, they were wonderful. My daughter's plane was delayed and it happened to be during a thunderstorm. But the office and the driver were in contact with me the whole time. So I had no doubt that they would wait for her and bring her home safely. Their service is not cheap. But you really do get what you pay for. I began using Harrison car service about two years ago after using my local taxi service for airport rides for a number of years and I couldn't put up with the filthy, flimsy cars they were showing up in. The Harrison drivers are always on time and very professional. The drivers, for the most part, talk as much as you like or not at all - they tend to let you dictate the conversation (which I love). The cars are always very well appointed, clean and plenty of heat/AC. The price is definitely more than the local taxi company but it is well worth the extra money for the comfort and peace of mine. Only MINOR issue I had is one time I had an early morning pick up and they tacked on an extra "early pick up fee" that was not explained to me at the time of booking - after I called to inquire they were very apologetic (though they did not remove the fee). Excellent car service. They were prompt, the vehicle was clean, the driver was quick and safe, and he knew where he was going. Even the guy who answered the phone when you call to reserve (Jude) was friendly, efficient and competent. After you book, they send an email confirmation that lays out exactly what the price break down is. Using these guys is not exactly cheap; I'd actually say it's in the mid to slightly above average price range when compared with other local companies. However, the price is worth it for the experience in my opinion. Also, I did better with them price-wise than I did with Uber going from mid-Westchester to UWS. read more

This is by far the best taxi service I've ever used. We live in Mamaroneck, NY, and our local taxi companies and their drivers have been, over the years that we've used them, consistently late (or not showing up at all), crowded with other passengers, and rude. I wish I had known about Harrison Car Service sooner. I used them this past week for trips to and from LaGuardia Airport from our home (I was away for a business trip). I booked online, avoiding any phone conversation errors, and got back detailed confirmations with pick up times and locations and a detailed price quote. I was able to pay online, avoiding the hassle and time of paying the driver each way in the car. Before each pickup, they sent me a text and an email with the name and phone number of my driver, and for the return trip, they also included a photo of my driver (!) so I would be able to find him more easily at the airport. My flight home arrived about 45 minutes early, and I already had a text waiting for me when I landed saying they were there early to pick me up. The cars both ways were spotless, and the drivers even wore neckties. Amazing all around. I will never use anyone else. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about this car service. I called 4 days before my flight to get a quote and they made the process so easy. Two days later they sent me a follow up with text. I confirmed and paid for the ride upfront. They have a flat rate to JFK including tip and tolls...again...they made it easy. The night before the flight I received a confirmation email with my driver's name and cell number. On the morning of the flight, they texted to say the driver was in his way..and they even included a photo of the driver. Then another text and email to say the driver arrived. It is their policy to arrive 10-15 minutes early. Finally, I received an email with my paid receipt. The entire process took absolutely no effort on my part. I use Harrison Car Service to go back and forth to LGA Airport two or three times per year and have never had a problem with them. As one who was in the car service business at one time can appreciate good service starting with the ease of making the reservation online to the notice that the driver is on his way to the clean cars and polite drivers. This last trip was from LGA, American Airlines, where our driver, Jeff, made the pickup so easy by texting me to call him as soon as we got to our location which I did and he was there within three minutes picking us up. Used these guys for a recent Westchester - LGA airport trip when our usual service didn't have last minute availability. Very professional, friendly on the phone. Price was about average. Great communication via e-mail. Driver was right on time. Drove safely and reasonably, and got me to the airport in the usual amount of time. Driver was friendly but quiet, which was appreciated on this 6am run (I'm not a morning person!). So overall, solid job. I take off one star only because of the vehicle - it was an older model car, clean but brake rotors were clearly badly warped, whenever he hit the brakes, the thing pulsed like crazy. Sounds like a minor gripe, but I'm a car guy, and this is a basic maintenance issue (I mean really, it's like a 30 minute job to swap some brake rotors) so it makes me wonder what other maintenance issues they're skimping on. Again, probably a very minor issue, but it's worthy of a star in my book. read more

I used Harrison Car Service for an airport pick-up in Paris. The reservation was executed flawlessly. The driver met me and my wife the minute we walked out of baggage claim. He was professionally dressed and holding an iPad with our names. His Mercedes was waiting right out side the door at the curb. Car was clean and had the added benefit of reclining seats in the back. In was a pleasure to travel to a foreign country knowing exactly how much I was going to pay for a fast, comfortable and reliable ride to my hotel. Unfortunately my flight was delayed 2 hours which resulted in me missing my connection in Hong Kong. It was convenient to call the number that I always call for my Car Service needs for my car in KUL to be rescheduled. Within 10 minutes I had confirmation of the new reservation. Upon arrival, a professional driver with a clean and comfortable luxury transit van was waiting. I waited a long time to write this review in the hopes that I would hear from Harrison after MANY years being a customers and a tremendous amount of money spent. They knew I was unhappy with my last trip. I have a slight disability involving my leg and walk with a cane. They know this as I was a customer when I had my accident. One of their drivers took me into the city on a rainy slippery day. When we arrived at my destination he didn't even get of the car. He said-- be careful getting out. I was sitting on the street side and it's hard for me to slide over. So I had to get out in traffic. Now, I am not a Princess but given their prices there's a certain expectation when it comes to service. I could have used help with the door. There were other issues in the past that I chose to overlook because of Jeffrey the most amazing driver they have. They offered me a discount AfTER many emails detailing what happened. It wasn't about the money. I asked several times for the owner to contact me. Radio silence. This is how they treat a customer who at times used them several times a week! I guess they are doing so well that losing a customer isn't an issue for them. They just do not care. They just give the impression that they do. It's a competitive business. Due to bad NYC weather, 6 hour delay for departure from SLC, another hour delay on the plane at the gate prior to take-off, diverted to Detroit, re-boarded and finally arriving at JFK at 3am, this service was still there waiting for me. First, I will say that Harrison Car Service had excellent drivers and was very reliable. The drivers were very friendly and courteous. They were great about sending email updates, texts with driver information and were on-time for both my pick-up and return from the airport. Prices are also in line with what other car service companies charge. The cars were very comfortable, clean and spacious as well. This review is not a reflection on the drivers, because the drivers get 5 stars! The reason I am giving Harrison Car Service 1 star is 100% due to their customer service and billing issues, which is horrible. To me, customer service and accurate billing is extremely important when deciding who to do business with. My issue: I was over-charged for the tolls, so I called Harrison Car Service to get an explanation on why I was charged $12.00 for each trip for tolls when we used the Whitestone Bridge which is only $5.33 for ezpass. The manager was extremely rude and failed to give a good explanation on why I was charged more for the toll than it actually was. He told me that I shouldn't complain about this because the drivers work hard and I had good service. I explained that the good service has nothing to do with being overcharged for tolls. I told him the service was great and this was not about the service. He told me I am being, and I quote him "penny wise pound foolish." The manager kept talking over me, almost yelling at me and was not listening to my complaint. I had to hang up on him because he would not even let me talk. All I wanted and still want is to be charged the correct amount for the tolls we went through on our trip, which is $5.33 for each trip, not $12 for each trip. That would mean I should be refunded $13.34. I explained to the manager at Harrison Car Service that my complaint was less about the actual money since it is a small amount and more about the principle of unethical billing practices - the line item on my bill says "tolls" and I should only be charged what the actual toll amount is. They are making money on the tolls from their customers and this is unacceptable. Based on their unfair billing and extremely rude and unhelpful customer service I would NOT recommend using Harrison Car Service. There are plenty of other car service companies in Westchester that you can use - try another one so you don't have to deal with unfriendly people and get over-billed. read more

The drivers were nice and on time, actually early for our 7:30 am pickup. Our flight was an hour late coming in and our driver was calling me to make sure I knew where to find him easily.
