If you're coming from the north side of Centre st. (headed south), all the buildings leading up to it are actual houses, giving this place a homely feeling. There's about 3 rooms on the main floor, so you'd only have a handful of chairs per room, giving it a more intimate layout. I think aesthetic services are upstairs. Along with the house theme, comes hospitality. You're offered a free drink, which is a nice service to feel welcome. I went with the espresso shot. Staff are very friendly too. 'House of...' normally refers to a fashion or design theme of incorporation; it applies here, but I feel 'house' applies in the literal sense too. 2) ...of Mann: what is 'Mann'? An old(e) English spelling of 'man'? Isle of Man? A men's only place? Nope. When I called, someone answered the phone and said "Manny". I also met him in person when I entered and he's a very friendly gentleman. Later the stylist told me that they had been in this location for about 15 years, but the business has been around for almost 30. Mann(y) must almost be a Brampton institution then. And yes, they certainly do women's hair. 3) ...Hair Design: the crux of the review. I rarely know what to do with my hair, let alone try to describe what i'd like when I have a slight idea. I was scheduled with Sarah, and she seemed to grasp what I was getting at, but also threw in her own ideas and explained them clearly. Very friendly girl, and I got what is probably my favourite hair cut in ages. Lots of compliments the following day for me, which isn't always typical when a guy gets their haircut. I also went for a beard trim/shaping. Altogether, the bill was $27, which is great value too. House of Mann Hair Design: it all comes together, and truly a wonderful place to get a great cut.

Ashley was there helping me with my haircut. I wanted a bob cut and i showed her pictures of the cut i wanted. I am not sure if I couldn't explain her what i wanted or if she dint understand. My haircut went pretty bad. By the end i had to tell her i am ok with this and i left because i dint want her to mess up my hair more. It was not even close to what i wanted. Cassandra is my go to girl. She does WONDERS with colour. I'm always satisfied after a visit with Cassandra. She is always so friendly and talkative, it's like we've been friends forever lol. In fact, EVERYONE at the salon is very friendly. They are always so welcoming. You just feel really comfortable at the salon. They always offer you tea, water or coffee. Michelle was my stylist for the evening and I'm so glad she was, she was so lovely and did such an amazing job on my hair. And my hairs not easy I have a thick head of hair.. but she's a talented girl and great with colour and we toned down the colour to match my natural colour underneath a little more, she gave it a glaze for me, a trim off the ends and even stayed a little over her shift to finish my hair! As the other reviews suggest, if you use debit, maybe bring cash to tip the girls. They more than deserve it! I stupidly didn't have much on me but I have pre-booked my next appointment so I'll be making sure to tip the next time! All the girls are amazing, friendly, and so professional for somewhere out of the city.. they provide such a good service! Couldn't recommend them enough! And highly recommend Michelle she is a gem! I also bought the purple shampoo to treat my blonde so my total was somewhere over $200 I forget the exact amount, (there's a breakdown on the receipt) which I found expensive but they did a great job! Went back for my appointment. I can't believe I missed this hidden jem. From the time I walked in…read morethe door the service has been great. Upon entry you have to sanitize & get your temperature checked. Everyone wears masks, socially distanced & everything is constantly sanitized (chairs, equipment etc). I was blessed enough to have Janice (the owner) do my hair. The whole process took two hours (which is great) & it wasn't rushed. Nice ongoing conversations with everyone in the store (thankfully not forced). When Janice was done...I literally cried with happiness (that's never happened to me before). I was so happy, I couldn't stop looking in the mirror & taking pics lol. I can now proudly say I will be a customer for life!!! I can't wait for my next trip.
