This establishment is all about quantity over quality. There's not a lot of good places to go get your nails done in Shelbyville and I keep going just because of location, but I'm done. I won't give them another dollar of my money. Gel pedicure in and out in 15 minutes (yes I time checked on Life360) and $50 less in my bank with mediocre work. The prices change all the time. First time here. We had a 1 pm appointment for a pedi and didn't get sat until 1:30 pm. Then we sat in the chairs without water and waited. The pedicure itself was more affordable than my other normal salon, and the hand held massager they use on the legs is more pleasurable than the scrub. The gel polish dried quick. There is a sign asking to pay by cash and that they have an ATM. To use your card its a $1 surcharge My tech was awesome but management needs to work on scheduling and cleaning However they need to work on the cleaning. The bathroom trash was overflowing and trash everywhere. I also noticed they needed they didn't use the liners and she had to clean out my foot tub. Dena was my technician - I've never been sat with her, and will be switching salons to ensure I'm never sat with her again. She brought me the new colors, whclich I appreciated, but the color I chose looked very different on the example pallet than it did when she started putting it on my nails. I pointed out that it didn't look right and I didn't like it. I barely got more than "sorry." She did not stop or attempt to fix. She told me "They're new colors, I don't know." I could possibly see not wanting to fix the problem if I had waited until we were finished to point out my dissatisfaction, but if I inform you after the first coat on the fiirst hand, there is ample opportunity to correct the problem. We can both see that what I asked for and what was supplied are very different, but she proceeded anyway. $50 for an hour and a half sat across from a snarky individual who did not care that I stated I did not like the color to end up with a set of nails I don't like. read more

Honestly where do I start. It feels like a cattle drive when you go in for service. My sister and I went in a few days ago to get our nails done. My sister was switched chair 4 times!!!!! before anyone would start on her nails. I brought my kids with me 1. because i had no one to watch my kids and 2. because my oldest daughter wanted her nails done as well. So yes I took my kids. This wasn't an issue mainly because there were two kids and two adults with the kids. My nail tech was nice to me and my children, and seemed understanding. My sister had a way different experience. The original tech that started on her nails had to leave due to a sick child. The second person who started on her completely freaked out and walked out of the salon when my sister attempted to stop my youngest child from knocking over a drink. My sister was left sitting there with only tips glued onto 3 fingers. The nice lady who provided my service ended up finishing my sister's nails. I left the establishment with my children crying my eyes out because I was made to feel like my children were a hassle. Even though my sister was moved around and we were treated like that. We never received and apology for the changing of seats, the change of techs, or the rude behavior of the employee. This society already makes it hard on parent and their children being out in public as it is. We most defiantly don't need others reacting as if we just broke their favorite toy and stomping out. Got my nails and pedicure done here the other day and I was impressed! The girls were super nice and did really well. It was a great pedicure and I will definitely return. My only complaint is I wish they would have had low music playing or something, it was slightly... awkwardly quiet but otherwise a good experience! read more

It's not super great, fancy , or relaxing as far as nail salons go but it's loads better than the nail place off 53. Prices are decent, they won't take same day appts and there's always a wait. No liners in the pedicure tubs but a gel pedicure isn't too pricy and they do a good job. They have cool hand massagers for the pedicures that aren't too bad.. I recommend springing for the deluxe pedicure which includes hot towels and a clay mask for your legs. I'll keep coming back for the convenience and good prices but when I want to be pampered I'll make the drive to Middletown and hit up First Lady nails. The techs are friendly and pleasant as well which always makes the experience better :) read more

I hate to say it, but I have to give a poor review because it was just so dirty. The people were very sweet and thorough, but they did not clean anything. They used the same tools on my feet and sister's manicure did not clean the pedicure tubs after clients left and would seat new clients in them. When they went to scrub my foot, the scrubby was extremely worn down and used. If it had been clean I definitely would've gone back, but I just can't. Hope I don't get an infection! read more

So far I'm a fan of Luxe Nails - because they were able to take me in last minute and give me a quicky polish change when I had only minutes to spare. The shellac polish dries quickly (who knew!), but I really liked how accomodating they were and willing to work me with blowing in and out like a tornado! I also liked my technician who made some pretty hip comments, (There you go, girl!). LOL. It felt friendly and homey right away. My polish changed wasn't cheap by my experiences in Southern California, but maybe that's just a regional difference. read more

Third time at this salon. I was very satisfied with my dip french manicure. Then the guy that did my nails asked for all cash not just the tip. I am thinking tax evasion - no cash register - money going in drawer at stylist station. I do not mind paying tips in cash for the little guys trying to make a living. I do have a problem with a business asking for all cash transactions. I was going to do a pedicure but they do not use the plastic liners on the foot tubs. Did not want to risk foot fungus. i am looking for a safe nail salon not mandating cash. It requires tax money to keep the city paved - sidewalks - etc. read more

My favorite pedicure in Shelby County! The service is always outstanding, the nail techs are nice, and my nails always look great when I leave. Tip: Always spring for the deluxe pedi. It's amazing! Was very pleased with the gel manicure I received from Luxe! It lasted over 3 weeks, the longest I've ever had gel on without it peeling off. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean. I came here on a Thursday morning to get prom nails. Just a regular polish, no gel or acrylic nails. It was super rushed and the man who did my nails ripped a chunk of skin of my finger off while trimming my cuticle. After I had blood running down my nail, he just whipped it off and proceeded to put the polish on my bloody skin. I was charged $50 for a mani/pedi that looked terrible and came off the first day. The cut on my finger is now infected even after I tried to clean it when I got home. I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will not go again. read more

I came in around 12 noon and I didn't have to wait very long at all. I was out the door in under an hour. They were friendly. It appeared clean. I had a SNS mani on from a different salon when I came in. Typically I get my SNS taken off by soaking. They used nail clippers to break the ends of my mani and used an acrylic nail to pry it off of my nails. This was very uncomfortable. Plus the acrylic nail had been sitting on the table when I sat down. The tool used to buff my nails ended up running over my skin because they weren't paying close enough attention to it, which hurt. I paid for a pedi and shellac on my nails on Sept 17th! All of my toe nail polish has chipped or completely came off. And my shellac that usually last weeks, chipped with in 4 days of getting it done and now the shellac has completely came off one of my nails. My mother is legally blind (she can see enough to get around) and I usually dont let her go many places alone, but this ONE time she wanted to be independent so I allowed it. Huge regret. After signing in she was skipped over several times. No biggie (I guess lol). When she questioned the position she was in, she was handed the sign in sheet and asked to show where her name was (very unprofessional). Due to her disability it was hard for her to point out her name over all the others. The Male owner says out loud "You don't know your name"!? So of course the whole nail shop is laughing at my mother now. (BFY). I don't even see how you overlook the only black woman in your nail shop. So she finally gets her 'Fill-in', no gel, no designs, just regular polish. They quoted her $20 before service was done but charged her $40. For a regular fill-in!! Her nails are long but still, $40 for a fill-in, no gel (put on or taken off) no extras is crazy even if u charged for length. Im not a review writer but I don't play about my baby and my mommas feelings were hurt! She's not allowed back in there I will take her to Louisville or Kevin in Simpsonville.
