Paid $125 for lash lift and tint before the tip. I hate leaving bad reviews because I always think I might be messing with somebody's livelihood. However, buyer beware! I showed my technician a picture of a bad lift and tint I had had in the past where my eyelashes curled into my eyelid. I told her I really wanted to avoid that and I also told her I had two white eyelashes that I wanted her to be aware of so that she tinted them black. Results were horrible and exactly what I asked her avoid. My eyelashes are so over curled and bent in the wrong direction! The white lashes are still white. I look ridiculous and I can't even wear mascara b/c they are so bent inward. I sent pictures to the salon and they told me to try castor oil and hot compresses. No luck with that but I feel like THEY should fix it- not me. They told me the technician said my eyelashes were over processed and she was loath to put any more chemicals on them to correct it. I have had it corrected before one day or two afterwards and it was fine. (This was a long time ago.) She also said that I had been told before the appt that it was too soon since my last lash lift. Well, if that had been true, I would have left and made one for later. (It had been 6 or 7 weeks since my last lash lift at another place.) No "we are so sorry." No "we would like to offer you a refund." No follow up several days later. It was simply a fiasco and they made it out to be my fault. read more

This has to be the absolute worst haircut/perm I have ever received. Afterwards, my hairdresser noticed the dismal look on my face (after sitting in that chair, for near to three hours - perm procedure, followed by a lopsided, ten minute, snip snip of a haircut. He stated, don't worry, it won't look nearly as full as it does, in a few days. Silently I'm screaming to myself, but I WANT FULLNESS; WHERE'S MY CURL. I was hoping, praying, that when I left Luxe, that the curl would, curl and be bouncy, soft. No, this was not the case. I called Luxe and spoke with management, sharing how dissatisfied I was with my haircut. He/manager, invited me to stop by and discuss what could be done. The manager proclaimed that perhaps I didn't take care of my hair properly, upon leaving the store, insinuating somehow that I was at fault. Did I wait a few days, prior to washing my hair? Yes, I waited. Did I leave in the hair conditioner? Oh, was I supposed to do that? Did I dry my hair with a tee shirt? What the heck? End result, I was promised another haircut, at no cost. Good; I'll be back. Had another hair cut done, that was even, but she used a special hair dryer, three different types of product, to get the right, wave, not really curl. I felt a little bit better, when I walked out, this time around. I even purchased a hair product. Next day, frizz and flat. I never know the face/hair I would see in the morning. My hair is still wretched. I've purchased frizz free shampoo, massive hair conditioner and not even pinning this mess back with bobby pins, can save me. Look at grumpy me, with bad hair. I look like I hate the world. The manager said to me, what don't I like about my hair and I said, there is no perm, it is lopsided, there is frizz and because it makes me feel ugly and it still does, a month or so later. read more

Spent $200 including the tip for a hot stone stress relief and relaxation massage. Pretty much immediately, there was loud talking and laughing from the room next door. My massage therapist obviously knew it was coming and turn on a noise maker of loud thunder and lightning to drown it out. Not exactly relaxing. Won't be back. I've been going to LUXE in Lititz since early 2018 when we moved to the area. I've been extremely happy with Tierza for cuts and color. When I called today to schedule an appointment since salons were allowed to reopen during COVID, I was very disappointed to hear about a stringent new cancellation policy. And I have never been a no-show client, but emergencies can arise. Clients now stand to lose up to the ENTIRE cost of their service, with no chance to credit it to a rescheduled appointment, if rescheduling occurs within 24 hours of the appointment. That feels ridiculous. This is Lititz, not LA. And won't such a strict policy influence some clients to keep an appointment, even if they aren't feeling well? Unless LUXE reconsiders its rescheduling stance, I'll be shopping for a new salon. read more

was excited to take my daughter to get her hair done for school wanted to get her hair trimmed so her hair would be healthier but they took less than 1/5 inch off so there were still lots of dead ends left. There was no wash or dry like it stated online for the type of haircut we signed up for the haircut was done in less than I would say 10 minutes. Pretty much her hair was brushed and tiny bit cut off something I probably could have did myself. Unfortunately since my daughter was there I did not want to bring up these concerns since she was very happy but when we went to go check out and they charged the full price for everything I did bring up the fact that she did not get her hair washed or dried they did take off $10 which I believe was a $15 charge on their website. And yes she did get her hair curled but no product was put in it beforehand and the product that was put in afterwards kind of made it look flat afterwards. Overall I was very disappointed in this experience especially for how high this place is rated. And the price was absurd for what we got in return. read more

Had a 90 minute couples massage today that was just wonderful! I had Stevie and my husband has Kat. Upon walking in, we were greeted by a very nice lady at the front desk who walked us back to the locker room. We changed into fancy robes and they had lockers for all our personal items. Despite bringing pictures of specific haircuts with me into the "salon", I just received the WORST haircut of my life which also looked nothing like any of the pictures. I should have learned after my first visit to LUX over 18 months ago, but I returned because I received a gift certificate. No amount of money would lure me back to this place after 2 horrible experiences from separate employees. I'm not that picky about my hair but my new cut looks like a bowl was stuck on my head. First off, it's the holiday season and it seems as though everyone in here is cranky as hell. The front receptionist seemed confused through the booking process and apparently the hair dressers don't know how to do color and highlights effectively, all in one swoop. They put me down for full color when I said I wanted just a few highlights to add dimension. When I got there, they said that would take sooooo much longer and that they could not accommodate what I wanted accomplished (hair that was about 4 shades darker with a few highlights). I have been to several salons in my life, as I tend to go darker in the winter and lighter in the summer. Never has anyone told me that it would take several sessions for me to where I wanted to be with my hair and I've gone much darker than the photo I showed her. Thank God I chose to get up and walk out before letting anyone there lay a finger on my head. Who knows what they would have done! I recommend going to the one in a Lancaster, which I would have done originally if they weren't all booked up. They are much more organized, friendly, and always willing to accommodate their customers. Must have been why the one in Lititz had openings on Christmas Eve... read more

I DO NOT recommend James. I asked for balayage and all I got were 3 strips of bleached hair and a hair cut way shorter than I asked for. He even went ahead and layered my hair without asking. Worst hairdresser ever. DO NOT GO TO JAMES!!!! Save yourself the money and the embarrassment of the hair cut he will give you. A 3 year old could have given me a better hair cut. I've been debating posting this review because I genuinely like many of the stylists at Luxe (Jordan and Alison are great), but after a handful of bad experiences I can't recommend this place in good faith. I am a long time customer, but I usually call a week ahead and take whatever stylist I can get. This finally caught up to me last time, when a new "senior stylist" completely ruined my hair. I came in for a highlight and somehow she managed to dye my blonde hair black - only around my face. To say it looked bad was an understatement. It was totally bizarre. I ended up spending a total of ten hours at Luxe that weekend trying to fix the damage. It went from black, to red, to dark brown until I finally resigned to the fact that I had to live with my new weird hair color. I eventually went to a stylist at a different salon who blended it to a somewhat respectable look. All of that is annoying, but what really did me in was that they never once offered to compensate me for my time. The manager and owners were all aware of the situation. I understand that mistakes happen, but I should not have had to pay for that visit. Even half off would have been a nice gesture. But no, I'm out almost $200 and need to wear a hat for the next six months. Generally speaking, there are a handful of stylists that do a really good job, but they are always at least 20 minutes late. Once they even forgot about me for a whole hour after I checked in. A decent spa atmosphere and friendly front desk staff. But the last experience left such a bad taste in my mouth, I just can't go back. Management needs a wake up call. read more

The only reason this place is getting two stars instead of one is because I was with 3 other girls, and two of them loved the women who did their mani/pedi. I went before a wedding with the bride and other bridesmaids, who all have great nails to begin with. But I bite, so I was getting acrylics. The woman who did them (can't remember her name, but she had witch-length acrylics herself) was TERRIBLE. She didn't soak my fingertips before attacking my cuticles. And I use attack specifically, because she got about as much skin as cuticle. She buffed my skin as much as the nails. And I said the chemicals they use were burning to a painful degree, and she ignored me. This was my first time in a nail salon (lifelong biter), and my first experience with acrylics. While I may have to endure that again for another wedding, I will never go back to Luxe. read more

They get one star because my hair ended up green. They get five stars because they fixed it and were super nice, and very educational. So we meet in the middle at three stars. So my first experience there was not good to say the least. I went in, had a consult with Charlotte and I was excited when I left. I had dark brown hair and I wanted to go silver on most of my hair and keep the roots dark. She told me we could do this in one session. I've had my hair lightened before and it look more than one session, so I'll admit I was skeptical, but I know nothing about hair, so I went with it. I had showed her this picture of what I wanted and what I got, was totally different. I ended up with green, blue, silver looking hair. I remember looking at it while she was blow drying it, thinking, 'wow this nothing like that picture'. When she was finished with it, I liked it. It looked nice. I went to target right after and got a better look at it and my hair was a blue, green color. I had a bunch of my coworkers come up to me and be like "what color is it?" That's a crappy feeling to have. My spa director saw it and basically told me to get it fixed ASAP and box dye it if I had to. So then I took a coworker with me to luxe, and we complained. I can't remember the managers name, but she was super nice. Her and the stylist who fixed my hair both explained to me what went wrong, how color theory works, how this should have taken more than one session, how they're going to fix it for me and basically how this shouldn't have happened. So now my hair has no traces of that green / blue color. The balayage is done right. It's now, to me, nice light brown with some blonde. read more

I just got my nails done earlier today and the pointer finger already popped off?!? I barely put any pressure on it and it just snapped in half. Also the acrylic was chunky in some spots so I have waves in 3 nails (my ring finger is one of them in this picture) The nail tech had a lion tattoo on her finger so if you get her turn away! I was also very irritated because I asked her many many times to shorten my nails and she would barely touch the drill to them and would say "they look better longer, no shorter than this" and made me feel dumb for asking her so many times... excuse me?? I'm very disappointed In this place, it's very beautiful inside but this girl was horrible. Needless to say I have an appointment with my original nail lady at a different place to fix this awful mess. I've been seeing Colleen for about 9 years now and continue to be so happy with her work. She has taken me from cap to foil to balayage and beyond. I constantly get compliments on my highlights and she always cuts my hair beautifully. I even had a woman stop me in a store one time and ask to take a picture of my style so her stylist could copy it. Colleen goes above and beyond to make sure I'm happy, and just did an amazing job with some new highlighting techniques and a cut that I love. I sometimes go too long between cuts or color, but she gets my hair from drab to fab with her skills every time! read more

My experience yesterday left the worst taste in my mouth for luxe. On 11/9 I got my nails done at luxe which was one of the first times I had done this. Ryan took care of me and she was every nice. However one of my nails started to chip the next day. Okay no biggy I'll just go back and have them fix it real quick. Well they would not take me the next day after I got off work when I called. They tried telling me the earliest they could get me in was 7pm. I told them it wouldn't take long and from my point of view I just paid 80 something for my nails the day before and wanted it fixed before I went to a wedding the next day. Which is the whole reason I got my nails done. So I couldn't wait until The next day. Well they said come and we will try to squeeze you in before 4:30. I waited in my car for over an hour and a half before they could get me in til about 5:30, when I had arrived at 4:10pm. To fix 1 nail. They were rude over the phone and in person about it, having an attitude with me. They apologized to the woman who was getting a pedicure for me interrupting as if I was being rude for wanting them to fix something I had already paid for, when I had to wait over an hour in my car. If I would have gotten my nails done somewhere else they would have said not a problem ,sure just come in and we will fix it quick. They also never asked the nail stylist if it was okay for me to come in and have her fix it while her other clients feet were soaking. Other places would have just done both at the same time as it took her 5 minute to fix my nail. They just didn't tell her I was waiting in my car for over an hour. She had no idea I was out in my car just sitting there. I'm livid. I will never come here again to get my nails done. I can't believe after I paid over 80 dollars I felt like I had to beg them on the phone to take me in to fix a nail. The customer service ends after you walk out that door clearly. There is no loyalty to previous clients and I'm very upset. I will not be back. read more

Spent $70 for a haircut by a "Master" stylist. She didn't layer my hair which I asked for but didn't know until I got home because she never showed me the back. She cut my bangs too long and never asked how long I wanted them. I felt rushed. I got no advice on styles or which cut I should get which is why I came here in the first place. She also didn't style or ask how I wanted my hair when blow dried. I have gotten better hair cuts at Holiday Hair. Definitely not coming back. read more

So, I'll start with my massage. That was 100% amazing!! Monica is magic with her hands. She asked about the pressure I like and listened and delivered with perfection! Monica, herself, is 5 stars. Now to the rest of the place. I walked in with 10 minutes to go before my appt. I was told to come early for paperwork because of this being my initial appt. I was not acknowledge by the person at the front desk who was typing away. She was probably really busy. So, I walk around and look at products for sale. About 5 min later, a sweet young girl came out and asked if she could help me. She checked me in, gave me the paperwork. I then gave her my paperwork showing my purchased Groupon. She told me Monica would be right out for me. Then I had a hour of pure bliss! Now, I'm all done and directed out to the front desk to check out and the same person who ignored me the first time was still madly typing away. I stood there for another 5 minutes unacknowledged. I proceed to get my phone out to check any messages and my phone made a noise. The receptionist looked up and said "Oh, I didn't see you standing there. Give me a minute please." She then continues on the computer and gets very frustrated at whatever is taking up her time. She asks for my name, I tell her. She says, "that's $85. I told her I had a Groupon. She then yelled into the next room, to the girl who helped me check in, asked if I gave her the Groupon. She told her yes. So, we completed our conversation with her looking up at me and she says "I don't need anything from you.....you can go." I know this review is long. But I wanted to get across my whole experience. She made me feel very out of place, almost like she doesn't have time for me. This was my first and last time there. Disappointing to say the least. I also poor experience with the front desk staff. Told multiple people I had a Groupon then at the end she refused to honor it with no explanation (it wasn't expired & I was doing the offer). Just applied the same amount I paid Groupon (instead of the offer I was paying for). She made it pretty obvious that she doesn't think very much of people who use Groupon. This staff member also refused to look up the balances on my gift cards because there were people in line behind me. I didn't love any of the stylists enough at this location to go back. The one I was seeing takes an extremely long time (over 3 hours for a cut and touch up color). She ran out of time to finish my cut & asked me to come back the next day (I needed to leave). I still love the Lancaster location so for now I'll keep making the drive in there instead. read more

Disappointed that they charged me wrong. Instead of a 50% discount as my email showed they gave me 25% off two hair services. That doesn't add up to be the same. Usually really enjoy going here but when no one will credit back a mistake that's poor customer service. One person called to respond to my email to ask for a credit. The front desk staff is extremely rude and will make you feel like you do not belong. The front desk staff also gossips about other coworkers and clients way too loud, so that everyone can hear. I hear this is a known thing that happens at Luxe, but I am very surprised that management does not do anything about it. read more
