Lori and her team at Sweetlake easily won us over with their enthusiasm, deep expertise in both design and construction, modern aesthetic, and creativity. As we look back now, having worked closely with Lori during the last 21 months, we are very grateful because she truly helped us create the house of our dreams! We go to Lori with EVERYTHING related to our property - from design plans to City permitting to structural work (wall removal, foundation repair, pouring concrete slab) to mechanical work (plumbing, electrical, air conditioning/heating) to insulation, sheetrock, interior finishes (tile, flooring, fixtures) to exterior (stucco, drainage, wood decks) - basically ANY aspect of the home design and construction process. Lori has been doing this for 25+ years, and has gained tremendous experience and know-how, as well as relationships with a number of competent and cost-competitive subcontractors. In addition, post-construction phase, Lori is a wonderful resource when it comes to furniture selection, design/construction or procurement, and even repair! What we love about Lori is how down-to-earth she is, and how she is not afraid to do things herself and get "hands-on" to understand what is needed. One day, I found her in our bathroom on a high ladder, using a razor blade to scrape off glass glue from our wall tile. We have countless examples like this. I will also add that we have never felt pressure from Lori to spend more nor do anything more than we wanted to do. That said, since we love everything that Lori does for us, we keep thinking about more projects that we want to continue working with her on! The craftmanship is superb and second to none. Everything is custom made to meet our needs to the T. If you can dream it, he can make it happen. Daniel is a perfectionist. Often times he will spot something that is not right before we notice anything, and will take time to fix it and make it perfect. It is true that there is a pretty long wait (2-3 months) to get the cabinets. But we are always super happy when the cabinets are all installed. As people say it: "speed, qualify, price. Pick 2" In our case, we paid medium level of price and got top level quality cabinets while we had to wait longer than other run of the mill cabinets. I think it is a pretty good deal! In addition to cabinets, we also got furniture and bookshelves from him. All of them are wonderful quality.

They have a beautiful selection and so many neat features to add to your kitchen to make your space feel more worthy. Our kitchen had a water leak discovered so we needed to renovate our kitchen. During the renovation process, Joseph would be present during the install or after a part of the project was completed for the day, Joseph would stop by to inspect and confirm that things were done correctly. I do appreciate his level of standards. Communication between us as a client and the company was very strong and effective. The outcome of this project was a beautiful kitchen. It has now been closer to almost two years since our kitchen was completed and I'm still in awe of the results. If you're looking for a company who can help do a project and just go through one chain of command instead of looking for several vendors, this is the company to hire. I also got to meet with Tony after the project was completed and he was super nice. They all are truly amazing at what they do. We had some very old cabinets and finally made the decision to get them replace along with…read morecountertops and floors. After some searching, we found USA Cabinet Store. We love our new kitchen. The choices they have are amazing. Tony is great and helped us pick out the two-tone slim shaker cabinets and quartz countertop. They added much more storage by removing the soffit and raising the cabinet height. The new cabinet inserts make the organization and access so much easier. On the remodeling side of their business, we had them replace our floors and countertops. We also decided to have them replace the cabinets in our powder room which really gave it an upgrade. The workers they use are thoughtful in how they complete the work. Joseph and Tony had great service and communication throughout the whole process. We hired Collinas for a…read moremaster bathroom remodel after previously completing a major kitchen remodel with another company and were looking for a bit more help with the design. Overall, the experience of working with Collinas was a huge disappointment. Design help was minimal, there was no regard for the schedule (job was 3 months late), the quality was poor, and they were expensive. If you choose this company, be prepared to be your own QC inspector, because our project manager did none. Even basic craftsmanship like pulling tile from different boxes to even out the color was not done or checked by the PM. Frankly, I can't understand how they stay in business with the amount of re-work they do. They did most of the big jobs (tile, floors, plumbing install) at least twice. The PM argued vigorously with me that the sound and feel of grinding metal in the shower diverter valve was "normal." Only after I downloaded the installation instructions and sent them to him did they call in a professional. At the end, we were so tired of trying to get a quality job out of Collinas we ended the job before the final punch list was complete. I simply could not stand to have them in my house any longer.

Previous contractor left the center open which would have been OK if I was centering my bed to how they centered it. But because my master bedroom includes a sitting area I chose to center my bed based on where my TV is mounted. Amin gave me a quote, and was readily available within a couple of days. He had some car trouble but called and notified me and quickly rescheduled for following day. He showed up on time, with all his materials. He asked if I had extra paint which I did from previous contractor worked so he used that. He was also very clean and tidy. Which I was a stickler about because of how my last contractor left a huge mess behind. Thank you Amin! I highly recommend.

A pipe leak had dripped onto a ceiling. The repairman found further damage than was visible. He…read moreremoved the affected sheetrock, repaired the area, and painted it. I cannot tell where the repair was made. It's perfect. All the plaster and insulation destroyed was removed. Plastic had been placed to protect carpet. The final cleanup was great. The charge for this was more than reasonable.

I immediately contacted Verena Li to explain the situation as to avoid anything happening to me over this. The guy who ripped them off comes back afte they said they fired him. Verena lied. The guy ends up sealing my bathroom shut with mortar and pouring mortar into the drain of my shower so now, I ah s to have it fixed which requires ripping up the new tile. I know it's costly, but they are not owning up to there responsibilities and trying to take advantage of a woman who just paid them 5000$ for a showe that didn't work! They are refusing to fix it. Wanted to leave a big shoot out to Stephen of 12 Bravo Construction. Our air conditioner was…read moreleaking condensate through the ceiling. I text Stephen and in no time he had Abel to come and look at it. Abel was very proficient and knowledgeable the system and performed a complete inspection. The issue was the drain pan was damaged. This could not be fixed due to supply chain issues that are ongoing. 12 Bravo was able to find a replacement A/C and Abel, with the help from his assistant Efran were able to change the unit out in about an hour. The unit was recharged with Freon as Efran cleaned up. The change out was long over due as the old unit was aging and seemed to be under rated. We have a much better unit at a price that was very reasonable.
