We hired Luxe Inspection (Calvin) to inspect our home before purchasing in early 2025. Based on their report, we confidently moved forward. But within 24 hours of moving in, we were hit with several serious issues--all of which should have been caught during a competent inspection: The A/C system was completely non-functional. Contractors found visible mold on the air handler and a burned-out blower motor. Both issues were confirmed to have been present long before we took ownership. The garage door wouldn't open more than a foot due to a broken spring. Luxe's defense? A picture showing the door open--ignoring the fact that a broken door can still be manually lifted for a photo. The microwave was loosely installed and the handle was already detached, posing a safety risk. There was unaddressed water damage on a bedroom ceiling. Even more telling: each contractor we hired independently asked the same question--"Didn't you get an inspection?" That speaks volumes about the egregious oversights. We spent over $5,000 on hotel stays, HVAC replacement, equipment purchases, garage repair, and more. When we submitted a claim to Luxe's insurance, they denied all responsibility, citing state minimums that allow them to avoid testing basic A/C functionality (like fan-only mode), opening easily removable panels, or reporting visible mold. A bit about me: I'm an Active Duty Air Force Officer, and I've moved over a half a dozen times and purchased six homes across the country. I've worked with many inspectors, and this is the first time I've ever regretted my choice. Luxe Inspection's performance was not just disappointing--it was negligent. They gave us a false sense of security, and now we're stuck footing the bill. If you're looking for peace of mind when making one of the biggest investments of your life, look elsewhere. BE WARNED! CHASE from lux home inspection is completely incompetent. I hired him to inspect a home I was going to buy and he completely missed many issues that are now costing me thousands to fix. This guy needs to stop inspecting homes because he has no idea wha he is doing and will cost you money just like he did to me. read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! I hired them to inspect a home I purchased as a rental property and a few months later my tenant tell me they are having issues with the floor of the home. Tenant stated It was becoming un even and soft in some spots. After hiring a handyman, and seeing the pictures and videos the Handyman sent me there was multiple support beams missing under the floor, and the foundation of the home is severely compromised and will be collapsing in the very near future if nothing was done. After paying $2300 to add 16 support beams to fix the floor I contacted CHASE the home inspector to tell him what happened and he asked me to send him all evidence I had such as videos as well as the receipt to the bill that I paid to fix the issue and after sending him all the info he requested that's he went dark. After calling him to see when I will be reimbursed for his error He had the nerve to tell me he is not liable because inspecting the foundation and reporting the condition is not what the home inspector is supposed to do. That is exactly what the home inspector is supposed to do. If you are not checking to see how solid the foundation of the home is then exactly What are you checking for??? They knew I did not live in the same state and would not meet them face-to-face so if CHASE felt it would be OK to take advantage of me and do a terrible job. Chance did my inspection. Moved to the home and the AC and heater unit is completely dead but no remark was made about that. When asked about it, I was given a 2 sentence response that didn't answer my question. He said he tests but obviously not true or doesn't know how to test properly because the unit doesn't cut on whatsoever. I had to call out a HVAC guy on my own dime after just getting into the house who told me I would need to buy a whole new unit!!! My family of 2 young children had to freeze night after night and now sweat day after day because this guy is smoke and mirrors. I called once to ask if he checks to see how the toilets flush as part of the inspection to make sure the plumbing is working and he said yes but it's funny because the water wasn't even on at the time confirmed by the water department.
