I think each waxer her is wonderful but there was inconsistent results. Some would use baby powder before my Brazilian so as to grab the hair better but others wouldn't. I would buy all their products to prevent ingrown hairs but then started to get more and more. They said it was bound to happen due to my heavy workouts and sports and the sweat. So I am going try electrolysis now. But nothing wrong with EWC.

If it's your first time coming, then you get half off your first wax appointment. Which was a pleasant surprise. My waxer, Aulani, was very professional and the service quick. She made me feel comfortable and did a great job. Will definitely try to request her again!

I already paid for my service in full nor do I want a refund, so there is no reason for me to make up a fictitious story about my appointment. I never leave bad reviews for businesses but my experience with the technician/co-owner, Creeland was too problematic to not say anything. I shared my first-hand experience and I stand by what I wrote and how I felt. First of all, I was not aware that the appointment was being recorded and I did not consent to being recorded. That's very concerning that a client's private session within a treatment room is recorded. I would expect a high level of privacy in closed room ESPECIALLY in a beauty salon where clients are getting various treatments done. Additionally before my appointment, I asked specifically if I could keep my contacts in and was told to remove it. Without my contacts, I can't see anything. So I'm not in a position to read or review anything posted at the door. I would think that a verbal consent would be done prior to being recorded. I also understand that clients may choose whether they want to chat during a service. That does not change the fact that the conversation I experienced included unsolicited and deeply uncomfortable topics and comments. I did not mind the conversation until it spiraled into something inappropriate. I'm not interested in debating my personal experience publicly. As a business owner in a predominantly women serving field, instead of dismissing a concern, maybe addressing what occurred should've been the first step. I would have appreciated a response that acknowledged my experience rather than simply disputing it and then trying to get my review removed.

I've been seeing her for years now, and come to think of it, I found her and this amazing salon when they first opened their doors years ago by guess who? Yelp of course! Rossy has helped take care of my nails, does quality nail cleaning, and a great job with gel application. Her prices are very reasonable and her services, top notch. Nail services are by appointment only (text her, it's the best way to get in touch with her and schedule an appointment as she doesn't answer her phone if she's with a client). During your appointment you can expect dedicated time to you and only you. Care is taken and she never rushes. I've always found my visits very relaxing and I can focus on myself for the moment. There's a great selection of nail and gel polishes. I'm a huge fan of her selection of glitters, metallics, and nude colors. Sometimes I feel like matting and others, high gloss - Rossy has got it all. Parking can be a bit tough if your appointment is around 9a or 10-ish because of other businesses, so prepare in advance to get there early. Before my journey began with Luxe & Nova 2 years ago, I was someone who you'd call a "skincare fanatic" & I'd say my skin was pretty decent at the time. On top of the skincare routine I had, I was also taking BCP which helped keep my hormonal acne at bay (side note: I have acne-prone, combination skin, and am in my mid-late 20's). But beginning 2023, my skin took a drastic turn. I never changed my routine or medications, but somehow my face just started breaking out really, really BAD (most likely it was due to hormones or stress). I had cystic, inflamed, painful acne all over my face. I tried everything - from Panoxyl, salicylic face washes, etc. but nothing worked. I became desperate for help and my self-confidence depleted. My cousin, who was also experiencing hormonal adult acne, was seeing Aliya and I noticed how amazing her skin was looking! She was the one who recommended me to see her. June 2023, I reached out to Aliya to make my very first appointment and started the acne program in July 2023. Upon meeting Aliya, I knew I could trust her because she was very informative & transparent about everything, from discussing my old skincare routine, to recommending to switch the type of BCP I was taking & discussing realistic expectations. Within 10 days of starting my new skincare regimen using the products that Aliya recommended, I noticed a big difference in my skin already! I also scheduled facials with her every 4-6 weeks. Fast forward to now, I am sooo happy with my skin. You may be thinking why my journey was a bit long, but PLEASE keep in mind everyone's skin & healing journey is different! You may need different treatments or products depending on your skin's needs. My skin is as stubborn as can be, but with patience, consistency & Aliya's magic, it transformed! Seeing my before and after pictures is still so mind blowing to me and the main thing is my satisfaction. I didn't care about how long it took because I know how my skin is & was willing to push through. I am still a continued client of hers and my next step on this journey is healing my acne scars! Aliya is such a blessing and I am so thankful to have met her 2 years ago! She has not only become my "esthie bestie" but a good friend as well & I always look forward to seeing her!!! Absolutely love Aliya! I started coming to Luxe & Nova in October 2022 because I was getting married in January and heard about this awesome Acne Bootcamp program she does through a friend. So happy that I tried it out, because just wow! I've always battled acne during my teenage years and even through my adult years. When it came to my skin, I was never really confident and always felt like whoever I was talking to was just staring at my acne and scars rather than just me. I've tried SO MANY things from home remedies I found on google/youtube to name brands such as Proactiv, Curology, Monat, Rodan & Fields, Clinique, etc. to going to see a dermatologist and nothing really worked. Some of the programs helped a little, and then the acne just kept coming back. I was willing to try anything to have clear skin. I shared with Aliya about wanting to get my skin good for the wedding, which really only gave her 3 months. I got started with her bootcamp, was consistent in my appointments, trying to follow everything that Aliya told me to do and my skin was reacting so awesome to the treatments. My goal was to at least not have any bumps so that when I put makeup on for the wedding, you wouldn't be able to tell at all. I can honestly tell you that it was a success. By 3 months, my skin was SMOOTH and no active acne. I still had some scarring but it was easily covered with makeup. CONSISTENCY IS KEY! I still look forward to my appointments with Aliya as we are working on getting all the scarring cleared, but already so much uh better. Prior to coming to Luxe & Nova, I needed to wear makeup to have some confidence to be able to be seen out in public. I started going to Aliya just over 4 months ago & she has transformed my skin! I started getting adult acne just after I turned 21, almost 3 years ago, & nothing I tried ever really helped. Since working with Aliya, my skin has cleared so much & I feel so much more confident. Aliya is incredibly helpful & always communicative! I go in for biweekly facials & she almost always checks in between appointments to see how my skin is doing. Dealing with acne can be so frustrating and lonely, but having someone as knowledgeable and supportive as Aliya has taken so much pressure off. A quick hand sanitize, and then it's back to her cozy beauty lounge. There's a spot to charge your phone and put your belongings, which is such a thoughtful touch. The treatment area is super comfortable--one of those places where you instantly relax and end up chatting about everything going on in life.
