I never received items that didn't sell- ans never received balance on my account. I was never called or emailed. how is this legal?

I'm sorry so many people have been victimized! My wife also lost thousands this week to this scam business. In researching how to file in smaller claims court here in Florida, one has to go through great expense, red tape and personal safety risks to take the woman who owns the business to court. We don't know what to do to recoup the losses and apparently law enforcement doesn't care. Florida laws put the burden on the victims of this kind of crime. read more

Closed abruptly and sent an email of lies claiming that consignor pickups of unsold merchandise would be arranged. Never heard anything though I'm owed both $ and unsold merchandise! If you are a "consignor" beware ! This business does not pay the consignors. Horrible business practices. I left a high value item in their hands to sell. They never called to tell me it sold. I just happen to drive by and walk in to pick up my item since I haven't heard from them. only to realize it had sold. was told will be paid by end of week, weeks later no payment. called 3x over the next month, still no payment. This warranted another visit to the store. excuse after excuse as to why they don't pay their consignors. They sell products without really buying the product in the first place and go months (3-4 months) without paying the original owner. The owner is never around to discuss. read more

In the past, Lux has been a great store. But now they have permanantly closed without notice, and thus leaving their consignors with no way to contact them. Last time I asked for my credit on file it was close to $200 that they owed me. So I cant get my money, and I cant pick up clothing that was not sold yet. read more

I was there today at 4:15 for my appointment and the store is closed with paper covering the windows. There is no answer on the phone. There was a sign on the door that says "closed". I had to take off from work to go to this appointment. Even if they are permanently closed, someone should have called or texted me. read more

Do not sell to this consignment shop. They take months to pay you what you sold. And forget trying to call. They will not call you back. The owner and workers are incredibly unprofessional and talk over you when you are trying to explain anything. It took me two months to get all of my money, with zero communication. Honestly the place is unorganized, darkly lit, with not even great prices and quality is hit or miss. There are way better consignment shops in Jax to shop at. read more

I am an old lady and I have shopped here for many years and have sent many customers but no more! I was here over the weekend and heard the wrong price for earrings. the price I thought was $98 because although Chanel they were only costume jewelry. I said okay I like those and decided to pay the $98. I handed my card over. I looked at the receipt upon getting the cheap earrings out (not even silver) they were priced at $998! I called to return them and was told the policy was to only give store credit or try to resell them for me. I feel like I have been taken advantage of by this store and will not return unless this is fixed. I'm terribly upset over this and it ruined an otherwise wonderful weekend. read more

I was visiting on business and decided to find local luxury consignment shops. (Love them)! In addition to purchasing, I thght I'd consigned a few high end items I brought w/me. (Chanel etc.) I inquired abt their cash option as opposed to consigning... as per the website. So much for "southern hospitality" bc she seemed pretty annoyed w/my lack of interest in consignment thn proceeded to tell me to call bck nxt day in the am to speak w/owner. Ashley (employee) was RUDE and impatient! She hung up b4 I cld finish thanking her for her time. Her attitude and professionalism sucks!!! Day 2: Same energy. She placed her manager on the phone w/zero notice who modified the same ignorant tone, attitude & energy as her employee. tried explaining I was advised to call bck for owner which p*ssed her off. She was VERY condescending b4 I stopped her and told her it was unacceptable!! prompted her to tell me NO to cash offer; only consign. I asked if she was the owner. She stated NO. She told me she wld consulting w/owner nd as a result she was unilaterally saying NO. (Granted I'd read a review tht was less than favorable abt same attitudes). *Point & Case: I explained how they cld/shld do better in the future and as a result of their actions they'd lost a potential customer bc selling or consigning was not "THEE" goal; it was to support a local business and hopefully find sm cool pieces while visiting Jacksonville! **1st time EVER leaving a review- so sorry; not sorry for the book but I wld NOT go if someone paid me to go & wld NOT advise anyone to go as well read more

don't get me wrong, i love shopping here! they always have nice upscale items for cheap but the customer service here is not my forte. i came here to buy a dress a couple weeks ago and the girl up front told me the dress was 14$, but when i went to go pay for the dress she said 'actually it's gonna be 38$' i asked why? and she kinda just shrugged it off. i told her i didn't want it and walked away and all i could hear was her saying 'whatever it is what it is'. i hate going to stores where girls are all snobby and rude, if that isn't your thing i wouldn't go here but other than that it's worth at least checking out. read more

This is one of the best Luxury Consignment stores I've been at. Not only do they have a great selection of luxury brand, tops, bottoms, shoes, purses and dresses but the staff is SO MUCH more delightful than other places I have been. Other places have been strait up rude to me and snobby, acting like I shouldn't be in there or something. This place is so much more welcoming. Its also very clean. It doesn't have that "grandma smell" that come from some Goodwill stores and other consignment shops. They have the best selection of handbags I've seen. They also have amazing sales. read more
