I chose the latter, but realized I should have chosen the former because I'm always interested in learning how to better care for my skin and what the professionals do/recommend, so halfway through I asked her to tell me what she was doing -- she told me she was doing a gel mask and using a jade roller. They're not pushy or salesy-- at least in my limited experience-- but she asked me if I was interested in anything in particular and I told her I'd be interested in learning more about X, so after the facial she showed me some products. They were expensive so I didn't end up buying but they sounded very good and I did look them up later.

Her room is always kept extremely organized and you can tell it is cleaned thoroughly between each appointment. I typically do a 90 minute and recommend that to everyone. 60 minutes always feels too short personally. If I ever want something done differently I have no problem asking her to do more/less during the massage and she is always compliant with whatever I may request. I enjoy easy, pleasant conversations with each massage. On the off chance I don't feel like chatting that day she always seems to read the room and let me be. I enjoy the ease of being able to book using text rather than calling (you can also call). I highly recommend trying Balanced Being!
