What happened to cuticle removal, massage and paraffin soaks. This was a poor man's soak your nails in a bowl of tepid water, rush through the cuticles and run to the dip powder nails, which by the way, were almost 1/2 cm thickness built over the nail. Not impressed with the dip powder skills; cat's eye tips were ok. So quality may not be suspect but services were not impressive. This time the owner who does my finger nails made me feel as though he was entitled. While he always seems very nice and whenever you ask something of him, his words come off as willing to accommodate, however, I know his work and if you're not including a manicure with a dip polish only it has come out very close to perfect. He told me last time that to have a clean appearance with cuticles trimmed, I would have to pay for a manicure. That being said and me being a cosmetologist graduate, much was left out for what I payed. He soaked my nails in the dip polish remover and then proceeded to push my cuticles down with his own finger nail. The remover dries out the skin so when he proceeded to try pushing my cuticles down, his nail was sliding over my skin and hurt! I couldn't believe it so I just pulled my hand away and said I'll do it. The correct process should have been to soak my fingers in warm soapy water to soften the cuticle so when you use the "tool" it pushes easily without pain or injury. He also left out the hand and arm massage that accompanies a manicure. My pedicure which was done by Jimmy was perfect! For the first time in 9 months of being in SC did a beautiful job. My toe nail polish for some reason has a tendency to bubble up when they dry. Before Jimmy applied the top coat he fanned the applied polish so the top coat went on smoothly and bubble free. I went in today as a walk in and was told they are not taking walk in's today. I wasn't offered to wait or anything. Then when I asked if I could make an appointment for tomorrow the lady didn't even want to put it in the books. But she finally did. After thinking about the treatment I received I have called an canceled the appointment. But I have talked to others and it's displayed on their door that walk ins are welcome. Everyone should get the same treatment very friendly atmosphere would never recommend. read more

I go in for face waxing of my chin, upper lip, and eyebrows. I wanted them arched, other places I had tried to go had a long wait and the place I usually go still had a long wait I needed my face done that day because I had to return to work the next day. The guy doing nails at the front was nice the other guys there kept staring at me with the look of why is she here. So the lady that did the waxing did a horrible job. I tried to tell her I wanted them arched and she seemed not to understand what I was saying, another lady in there doing someone else's service tried to tell her. She didn't have me lay my head back, she tried to push my hair off my face with a headband that could've ripped my hair out and that looked gross with residue o it. So I thought maybe she is new maybe she is learning I've had students do my face before. She uses this thick crap that didn't even get hot enough. I asked questions no one responded they talked to each other I could not understand what they were saying. I felt as if the lady was afraid to touch me. When tweezing the tweezers weren't clean and she didn't make effort to sanitize them they came out of some jar, the gel she put on my face made my face burn and the next morning I woke up with a rash over my eyebrows and upper lip. Well they handed me the mirror after she was done and I look and it looks like she didn't do jack, now I have to find someplace to clean the mess up. I told her I don't like it and it wasn't arched the lady that had been getting her toes done decided to open her mouth when no one asked her she liked it well I didn't and I look horrible and am very displeased. I went ahead and paid and gave a tip because I didn't want to cause trouble or end up getting in trouble because again the lady acted like she was scared to touch me. I won't be going back, and again I'm very displeased with the half Sunday school word job that was done on my face. And they aren't Luxurious read more
