Once she shared my details with Corporate, they did not make me transfer, they actually refunded my $4,000. She did not have the full details of our situation and once they did, they quickly made it right. Updating my review because they did the right thing once they understood all of the facts. Great customer service and addressing immediately. Thank you Heather! No Values My family and I were transferred for work to Mooresville, NC.  We did most of our house hunting virtually due to Covid and tight timeframes.  We put down a $4,000 deposit for a home in Atwater Landing Traditions in Mooresville, NC.  While our sales agent, Heather Smith, attempted to help us.  Corporate said no. My husband and children are African American. We have been living in temp housing for one month and in that short time, I have been assaulted to the point of ending up in the Emergency Room with years of physical therapy that will be needed for me to recover, my husband has been called a n*gger at least twice and told "you don't belong here boy."  After being assaulted this past weekend, we have had enough of Mooresville.  We wanted to keep our commitment to DR Horton and simply requested to transfer our deposit to another DR Horton site where our family could be safe.  Heather tried to make it happen, but corporate could care less and said no.  Some nonsense about the proper site getting credit.  A lie that was debunked by one of their own at Lanier Landing in Charlotte. So they have our $4,000, mere pennies to these people.  Because that's more important than the safety of our family.  I offered police reports, nobody cared.  Better to move us to a neighborhood where we are not safe so you can keep your contract.  Looking at all of their white executives, it's no wonder.  Probably just another family of n*ggers to them. I am disgusted and pulled out completely, technically homeless in a few months.  Worth it so we don't do business with a company as disgusting as yours.  Just know, as a corporate person myself, I will make it my duty to let the world know just how money hungry and disgusting this company is.  It is my duty as a citizen of this country.  Something hey claim on their website, but know nothing about. Shame on you DR Horton and your entire company.  I hope it was worth $4,000.

Doesn't care after they get paid. I would not recommend ever buying from them. I certainly will never do business with them again.
