I have mixed emotions about this place. The staff is super friendly and right there all the time. But the equipment is spotty. Sometimes tire shine works, sometimes not, sometimes on only one side. The few vacuums on the west side are consistently great but the east side is weak and frequently don't work at all. Compressed air blowers are out of service almost all of the time. Well, I sure don't feel the LUV anymore. I've been coming to this location since 1994, back when the name, management, and ownership were different, but the customer service actually meant something. On one of my very first visits decades ago, my car didn't come completely clean. I mentioned it to the attendant, and he politely suggested it might be because I hadn't used the pre-wash. Then he offered me a re-wash on the spot, no fuss. From that day forward, I've always used the pre-wash. Fast-forward to today. I asked about the pre-wash, and the attendant told me it's now for members only. Seriously? One of the most basic and necessary steps in a car wash is suddenly an "exclusive perk"? What is this place turning into, a strip club, where even the most basic things come with a VIP upcharge? His excuse? "Too many people abused it." What does that have to do with me, a loyal customer who's been paying for washes here for 32 years? Feeling disrespected and looked down on, I went with the cheapest wash. To make matters worse, the vacuum hose fell off the overhead attachment. No help from staff, so I fixed it myself. And please, for the love of soap, wash your towels properly. They reeked like rotten mops. You lost a long-term customer today over something as cheap as a bucket of suds and a brush. There are other car washes nearby, maybe a little pricer, maybe not, but I leave those places feeling valued and appreciated. Today, you didn't even try to keep my business. Goodbye, LUV. The feeling's not mutual. And for the love of all that is sincere, please do not reply to this with that canned, copy-paste "sorry you feel this way" response I've seen on all your other negative reviews. I signed up for a membership with LUV Car Wash. The two-month intro deal is affordable, but the price skyrockets if you don't cancel before it renews. I made sure to cancel before the higher rate kicked in. Later, when I needed another wash, I logged into my portal and saw the $9.99 deal advertised again--so I signed up. Instead of honoring that, they charged me the full price. When I reached out to their team, they dismissed my concern and just told me to "refer to the policy on the website." This is a drive thru car wash that has a few price points. I believe approx $6.99 buys a basic wash and $12.99 is "The Works." Which is worth it: tire shine, etc. After the wash there are a lot of free vacumms to clean out your car. I believe they may offer additional services. read more

I just want to give a big shoutout to Derrick at Luv Car Wash on North Druid Hills. I pulled up literally as he was putting the cone out to close for the night, and instead of turning me away, he let me go through the wash--even though I was clearly last minute. I told him I'd skip vacuuming so I wouldn't hold him up, but he told me to go ahead and clean as usual, no worries at all. What really stood out was how professional and pleasant he was the whole time. Most people would've been lowkey annoyed, but not Derrick. Even when I struggled getting my EV out of auto hold before the tunnel, he was super patient and never made me feel rushed. He even knocked on my window to offer an air freshener right before I rolled in. It's that kind of customer service that keeps me renewing my membership and recommending Luv to friends. Bonus: the vacuums are seriously strong--like almost rip-your-floor-mats-up strong. Derrick is a star. Give that man a raise ! read more

WARNING: Buyer beware. Please read this if you have an account and intend to or have replaced cars and/or license plates with your membership. Earlier this year, I changed cars on the same membership (same license plate) and was charged 2x per month for several months. No refund would be given, however, the agreed to cancel membership. Like most of you, I do not check all of my "auto" membership charges on a monthly basis. I went back several months later with the same car, same license plate. Charged 2x again on the same day. Then, I returned a few days later with the same car & a new license plate and discussed the new plate situation with an attendant. Yes, charged again! So, I was charged a 3rd time and they opened another account under my name. Yes, it was a total of $82 for 1 month - same car, same membership, same person driving. This is an error in their accounting system. Please check your bank statements if you have changed cars and/or change license plates. I presume it will happen if you change states as well. read more

I'm leaving another review in response to the management stating I left a negative review to shine more light on Top Wash...? 1) I get a car wash every couple of weeks. I specifically went to LUV because the bird poop happened the day prior, LUV is down the street from me, but I usually commute OVER 20 mins just to go to Top Wash if I'm seeking automated service. I decided to give yall a chance. 2) Run the cameras from 9/15 around 3p, you'll see ME (contact directly for deets) going from station to station on the right side looking for even ONE bottle of provided cleaner. None. On top of that, I was there for abt 45 mins and I did not make contact with one employee. I keep my own car products on hand for times like these. Consumers visit at your own risk. You will see how unworthy they are of your money, especially with how the management team responds to PAYING customers who are just sharing their experience. But tbh there's a reason there's more Top Wash establishments in the city than LUVs...Good luck. read more

Came here in dire need of an external cleaning. They had an automated drive thru that made it difficult to tell if my choice for the middle priced wash actually took place. There was an attendant to help you align with the assembly belt and even gave a couple of complementary air fresheners. Overall, I thought the cleaning was pretty standard while service was nice. If I do go back, I'll save myself the extra couple of dollars and opt for the cheapest price as you're really only in the car wash for all of 3 minutes. read more

So I had been going to this joint when they were another car wash, so when I came this time and saw they changed the name, it was a surprise. The prices had gone up a bit, but it wasn't overly excessive, but it was noticeable. The reason I was throwed because of the whole name change was because I had a gift certificate from the previous car wash, and I didn't want to waste the money. I talked to the attendant at the machine and she didn't know if they would take the gift card but she got on the phone with her manager and cleared it up. They did let me use it without incident so that was great that I wasn't going to have to waste the money. That was good customer service right there, for her to stop what she was doing to check on that for me. Now the wash itself was still just as good. It was one of those pollen days and everyone and they mama was trying to get that yellow dust off of they car. So depending on when you go, there will be a line. They wash went smoothly, and you come out and hang a left and then get to the vacuum stations. The machines work well and they have never tried to rush me if I go over my time. Used to love this car wash when it was the family owned Hi Speed Car Wash...had been in business since 1966. It was a full service facility...the employees did all the work, and they did a fantastic job consistently!! Then they changed to 3 Minute Car Wash a few years ago. It was OK...nothing special but good...got rid of all the employees and the customer does all the work (self vacuum, self dry, etc.)...the tunnel washes. The tunnel wash process was consistent and did a good job!! THEN they sold again and along comes LUV Car Wash...same concept as 3 Minute Car Wash...customer does all the work. Hate to say, not much LUV going on any longer!! For one, the prices have skyrocketed!! What used to cost $12 for "the works" at 3 Minute now costs $18 at LUV, and the basic wash for $3 or $5 that 3 Minute had is gone completely now at LUV! They do still have a prep area where you can pre-clean the front/back, etc. but their water barrels are constantly filthy with nasty black water, and the prep brushes are constantly worn out! Also the water barrels never ever have any soap in them which is a necessity to help clean and not scratch!!! Just plain and filthy water! 3 Minute kept theirs clean constantly and always had good brushes! The tunnel wash is just so so now also...it never really cleans the car well, even if it's "prepped" first. I stopped by yesterday on my way out of town to clean my car, got the full $18 package. When it was done, the wheels were just as dirty as before it was washed, and the tire shine was not even done. I mentioned it to one of the attendants and was told "guess we are out of tire shine and wheel cleaner"!! Asked for a refund or some $ off because of that, "sorry no refunds" I was told! WTH?? I have 3 vehicles to be cleaned on a regular basis...won't be back to this location any longer. read more

I'm sure there is probably an incentive to sign up customers for membership but doing it without the customer's approval is an unethical business practice. Have been going here for decades through the multiple changes. I was in the tunnel yesterday and during the cloth strip drying process right before the blowers I smashed into the Ford F150 that was in front of me. I can't see a thing, but apparently the F150 stopped because the car in front of him stopped. We will see how LUV handles this matter, but I am not chasing down the car in front of the F150. I arrived to have my car washed this week and realized the change over to new ownership had taken place. Some things to note; the prices increased - completely understandable in this economy and still at 18$ for the highest priced wash, I am fine with paying that. Now where the confusion comes in is the signage and software for checkout. There are signs in front of specific lanes that say "member" now it's not member specific or says member only but I would imagine on a hot sunny day when many cars are there the members will be in the same lane as any regular person. I say this because as I waited in the only lane that didn't state member - I was sitting for 8 minutes waiting for the sales person to sign someone up for a monthly package in front of me and when I realized the other lanes were open for anyone while people pulled through them, I thought to myself what does the signage matter? It's confusing. Next, on the screen for checkout it says make your selection at the top, when you make your selection it sits there on the top. When you are trying to make payment it's still there, I'm a detail oriented person and when it took a moment for my card to be processed I was confused once again about "did I make a selection - why is this still here - am I supposed to chose which way I'm going to pay?" Because the options are listed as swipe or tap under the 'make your selection' that needs to be written out of the screen change for payment page. I have been coming here for years while it was under different ownership. I really liked the employees and option to upgrade to detail my car. I will be back because of convenience and I'll be extremely clear as someone approaches me to sell something that I just want to pay and move on. No need for the talk. read more

Don't try to reach anyone at the corporate level. The chat sucks. The text option gets you nowhere. And when you call, you get two rounds of yapping and music and then are directed to vm. They did call back but were unhelpful. Background: the first time at a newly renovated location when Luv's acquired the location in the Savannah area, I was told to run my card but Absolutely Assured that it would not be charged and that it would remain with my husband's card. That is not the case! When I spoke with the rep, I suggested that re-education of staff or notification to members might be helpful, it was not well-received and she basically restated that my card is the primary now. Unwilling to switch it as it has to be done in person(???) Also, with regard to Luv Carwash itself, there are inconsistencies between the actual car was locations. Some have better cleaning. Several now don't clean the back. When I left one and went right to another, I was informed that I had exceeded my daily allotted washes (1?). We have a subscription which used to be unlimited when it was with Savannah Carwash. read more

New owners and a facelift means increased prices. At least they help you with the non functioning credit card machines now (small victories). Only caveat is that once you say no to the "monthly subscription", the folks that are helping become incredibly rude as I'd have to guess you just took away a small commission % they earn. Mine specifically said, "don't get the cheapest one because it won't clean your tires. Think of it as a happy meal and you're an adult so you have to get a more expensive wash". Thought it was odd she said your car literally won't be clean unless you get a $15 option. Then once you get the middle tier wash it doesn't even take off bird poop from your car. I have come to this car wash before and haven't had a noticeable issue. I enjoy the free vacuum and how quickly your car goes through the wash. I went in today, 9/4/2020, paying for the nitro express wash costing me 12 dollars and I'm coming home to find my entire windshield filled with tiny chips, scratches on the hood of my car, and along the sides of my car. There is also a larger scratch near the left rear tail light. My front bumper on the right side has also been slightly bent in. I've only had this car for about 2 months now. It's black so everything and anything new is noticeable. I'm not coming here again. I've left a voice message because no one was able to come to the phone. The only option is to leave a voice-mail. I checked online to see if they have a damage policy, can't seem to find it. I've just emailed them and am considering going back to complain. read more

If you really needed your car vacuumed. Just go to the detail side because the vacuums do not suck up very well some other car washes. It is busy on Sundays and sometimes it hard to find a free vacuum. I only came here since it was close to where I was going. I had a horrible experience at the Brookhaven location. this experience wasnt just bad because the actual wash left my car very dirty (paid for the most expensive service), but the customer service from the manager was horrendous. I left a review and while they replied that they'd like me to talk to the GM, however they never left a way to get in contact. I called and left a message and emailed with no reply. I'm coming back to add this because I really tried. So I received bad service in person and no true desire to resolve after the fact. I've been driving all over the country in my massive truck.I had months of road crud built up. In minutes, most of it was gone. There were some spots that the were missed, but all in all quite good for the price. Highly effective yet a little terrifying to experience LOL. A very well orchestrated process allows you to get in and out.
