It's rare to find a place that nails both atmosphere and service at this level, but BABs Secret Lounge absolutely delivers. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

I got the birria empanadas - the consumme was really good, the empanadas were good but not my favorite birria I've had, they just felt very heavy, even while eating them. The flavor was good though. Pimento cheese is a fond childhood memory, so I had to try it. Very good! My husband ate all the tuna before I could try it! The complimentary bread with herbed butter was phenomenal! There were five of us at dinner. Each of us ordered either the scallops or the filet. The filet was truly the most tender steak I've ever eaten. Service was efficient. Not overly personable, not rude. My only negative feedback for this restaurant is that it is definitely somewhere you go for an experience or date night, not if you're hungry. I'm fine with paying a premium for good food but I shouldn't leave hungry. Plates that cost $60 per plate should fill me up and come with a salad, in my opinion. It was a nice experience.
