Incredible ER staff and nice facility…read more I was bit by a dog this morning in Concan and was dreading the ER visit to Uvalde. I was pleasantly surprised with the professionalism, courtesy and efficiency of the staff. Dr. Blackburn and nurses Cody, Scott, Rebekkah and Oscar were excellent. The doctor was worried about muscle damage and called in an orthopedic ,Dr. Conoley, on his day off to make sure there was no muscle damage before stitching me up. I hope you don't need to make a trip to the ER near Uvalde, but if you do, I highly recommend this place due to their staff.

If you have private insurance I suggest the Uvalde Medical Center on Garner Field Rd. Clean, fresh, attentive staff, including access to the ever so convenient Patient Portal.

His wife is usually the receptionist when you walk into the building and she's got a real ugly…read moreattitude, completely unprofessional. I was disgusted. The doctor himself is ok but they don't really deal with complicated cases. Would only recommend if you have a common cold or some very minor issue but not worth it if going 2 have to deal with Dr Lewis wife/receptionist.
