I was pleasantly surprised with the professionalism, courtesy and efficiency of the staff. Dr. Blackburn and nurses Cody, Scott, Rebekkah and Oscar were excellent. The doctor was worried about muscle damage and called in an orthopedic ,Dr. Conoley, on his day off to make sure there was no muscle damage before stitching me up. I hope you don't need to make a trip to the ER near Uvalde, but if you do, I highly recommend this place due to their staff.

Preddy and his staff, in Uvalde!, Texas!! He has refused to talk to me for over 2 weeks, gives uninformed messages to his staff to pass along, and the final straw was saying he needed to see Clay a SECOND time for a physical to be released to play basketball..!!! I leave work, take my son out of school (for the 4th time) drive to Uvalde to speak to him IN PERSON, and he leaves before I get there....KNOWING I am on my way and then not even letting his staff know when he will return...come to find out he gets a 2.5 hour lunch...so now we're stuck here until 2:30 pm just so he can get another office visit payment..!!!

I attended a follow up appointment with my husband, and due to his "won't look you in the eye," passive aggressive, receptionist, he walked into the room with an attitude (due to a co pay dispute on a follow up) so potent I almost threw up all over the floor. When I got up to excuse myself, it was laughable to me that a "man" inches shorter than myself began to throw a literal fit, and try to get the upper hand by "kicking me out." Nice try. I was on my way out. He continued to try and turn the situation around on me, when I left upset, while he was shaking when he returned to the room. Per my husband's admission. And check this out, the revised prescriptions he wrote were exactly the same dosages that I had written down for my husband. Also, the original appointment was set for 10:15, and he had to leave and come back at 3, and wasn't seen until 4:30. This place is a Welfare Clinic.

Calls are not answered or responded to and it is impossible to get Dr. Sosa himself to respond, sometimes even with an in-person appointment. Answering service(s) and nurses are all you can reach. If your issue requires action by Dr. Sosa himself expect at least a minimum of a week delay. These problems have persisted for at least the last year sadly with increasing frequency. To summarize, Dr. Sosa is a good man but look elsewhere if you require timely prescriptions or interventions. Visiting the UValde ER should not be the default response for issues which are not emergencies and a result of a doctor's inability to fill his own prescriptions or get timely appointments. Multiple week wait times for appointments for debilitating and life threatening conditions suggest looking elsewhere if you have other options."
