This place is as magical as Bridgerton looks. The rooms are very spacious and if you are lucky enough to have a patio room you might get a visit from the resident peacock. The rooms have fridges water for tea and all the tea fixings. I am obsessed with the toiletry brand they have here, molton brown. Breakfast was spectacular, even the buffet items. The pool is shared with the spa and family access is limited and only during certain times a day. We got an hour access from 9-10 but my daughter was disappointed that no other children were at the pool at the same time. The beds including a roll away were very comfortable, the bedding and towels were soft and wonderful. The blackout curtains were on point and the AC was effective and silent. The only criticism I have is the in room safe barely fit my engineering laptop and the safe was placed very high, well above my head anyhow. I was witness to a rude American complaining at the desk and the gal handled it with grace. read more

Here is a list of things that happened on our one day trip. - bones found in check wrap - egg shells left on egg salad - 40 minuet wait for "pre prepared" wraps - awful customer service from management (though other members of staff where lovely) - parts of spa closes off with no pre warning - a marathon was taking place - again no pre warning meaning we where made late - rooms where only available to get in to 2 hours after time promised - staff member tried to take my robe with my phone in and then tried to say she didn't Honesty if you want a "elite spa" or what ever it is these people call them selfs - just pay a bit more and go to Champneys because you may actually get some good service from management (like I say other staff members where lovely) As for the food - I've had better service in Nando's. read more

This place is amazing! Wonderfully grand driveway to enter the estate, and an impressive number of Lamborghinis parked outside (i.e. 2). Fans of Downton Abbey will think they are the Earl of Grantham (or in my case, Carson the butler). We had a delicious (if extremely expensive) breakfast of cakes and tea, took a stroll around the gardens, played a frame of snooker in the room below the restaurant, and then a game of croquet on the lawn. read more

So "Eyes Wide Shut" was filmed in part at this mansion but unfortunately the cast of that party have long since departed! Typical English Mansion house, very imposing after the 1 mile long drive to the entrance through tree lined drive. We stayed in the clubhouse which is a separate annex from the main house, the rooms were very clean with crisp linens, just what you would expect from a place of this price and class. The food in the restaurant was as excellent as the service. The bar, although quiet has fantastic art and super high ceilings. Breakfast was what you expect with amazing views through the open windows. This place epitomizes England in the summer, in fact parts of Four Weddings and a Funeral were also filmed here. If you are looking for that quintessential UK getaway (in particular if you're a golfer too) then you cant go wrong here. Beautiful! read more

Came here for a wedding last weekend. Firstly when we booked our hotel room, we were not told that the event would be held at a different venue at the site, which required us to travel from one to the other by taxi. The hotel does have its own taxi service, but there is only one vehicle, which means a lot of waiting.. The wedding was held at Warren Weir, which is a small building with a reception but no bar or ability to serve food to its residents. The room was very clean and well appointed. We also had a balcony. I was surprised that the pre wedding reception was held in the car park, so we all had to move out of the way as the cars began to arrive. It was truly ridiculous. It was also quite chilly but we weren't allowed to go into the building where the reception was taking place. When we were eventually able to go in, to our relief, the reception began and things got a lot better. Service was excellent and the food was very good. The wine flowed, although I'm sure this was down to the generosity of our hosts. Later one of the wedding party fancied a burger, and we had to take the taxi to the main hotel. We were treated very well when we got there, but it was all a bit of a pain. There was nowhere at Warren Weir for the wedding guests to get together after the lights went on when the music finished at midnight. The next morning, we again had to drive to the main hotel for breakfast. The bride and groom and guests were milling around at Warren Weir waiting for transport. Really not good enough. But worse was to come. The entire wedding party was allocated a separate room at the hotel for breakfast, which begged the question as to why we couldn't have eaten where we'd stayed. The room was tiny, and packed with tables. The food ran out and there were no plates by the time we got there. The staff were absolutely useless, standing around doing nothing. By the time I got my own coffee, it was stewed and horrible. I grabbed a croissant and left in disgust. Considering I had paid extra for breakfast, I was unimpressed. On the whole, apart from the wedding reception itself, my experience here was entirely underwhelming. It's a beautiful venue but the service and lack of organisation lets it down. The bride and groom were let down, and deserved better. read more

What a lovely hotel. This hotel offers many activities such as clay pigeon shooting, archery, falconry, golf, spa treatments etc. This hotel consists of a mansion and various outer buildings in which you can stay in. So if you book this hotel and you want to be stay in the main mansion house then state it otherwise you might end up in one of the outer buildings such as Parklands, etc. Also please bear in mind that all rooms do not come with air conditioning so again state on booking. However saying all this the rooms that I did get to see as was away with a group of people they are all d very nice rooms and very clean. The one with the main upgrade included a separate dinning area, bedroom, massive bathroom with Jacuzzi and a long terrace which you could chill out on and even have a bbq. The main standard bedrooms all was a reasonably big size and had amazing big comfortable soft beds. The grounds of the place are wonderfully green and lovely to stroll around in. The mansion itself was spectacular with its marble statues, grand lounge areas etc. Just have to see it to believe it in its grandeur. The food was also very good and well presented especially the afternoon tea the best scone I have had in a long time I could of eaten loads. The mansion and its grounds also has been used in many movies such as Fours Weddings and a Funeral, Eyes Wide Shut, Never Say Never Again (007 Sean), World is Not Enough etc. They also have a spa which I never used but heard great things about it. Only downfall about this hotel is that it is situated in Luton in which in my opinion there is not a lot around to do and see outside of the hotel complex area. Also I feel the prices for the rooms are a tad high for that area but I can see why the prices are that high because of the antique style furniture and the room sizes. So if you want to play golf or even have a spa or do one of the other many activities that they offer then I highly recommend this hotel you really will feel like royalty. read more

First view of the hotel as you drive up is breathtaking. I picked this hotel because you could take dogs. My room was on the ground floor, a dog bed, bowl and toy were already in place in the corner of the room. There was a small paved area just outside the french windows, which led to a lawn. Within 15 minutes of settling in to the room, room service arroved with a meal of rice and chicken for the dog, served on a white linen cloth, beneath a silver cover. Dog LOVED it. I ate in Adams Brasserie, excellen service and good food. I only stayed 1 night as I was only in the area to visit a Clientbut Iwill be back. The only warning i would give is, if you have a dog, ask that your room is away from thelift area. My dog is very quiet but she grumbled a little when she heard voices outside the door, waiting for the lift. A lovely hotel, it probably gets better the longer you stay. The surroundings are elegant and spacious, but it'sthe staff and the friendly service they provide which makes it special. I paid £ 169 for the room and breakfast, plus £ 30 for the dog.I had 2 Jack Daniel and Coke a coffee and lamburger and chips for my meal which was £ 31.00 I didn'thave any breakfast. Lots of convenient parking although my car was completely covered in sawdust the next morning, because they had been cutting down a tree nearby. Dress codein the brasserie was smart/casual, i think a few of the other diners were golf members. read more

Great to see this truly historic house back as a hotel. When you step inside you are stepping back into history spanning more than a century of immeasurable wealth, international royalty and finally the tragedy which led to its closure. The new owners have restored it to its former grandeur and the formal gardens are a special delight. There is now a golf course, spa and conference complex which meet the needs of the sporting and business community. For those who can't afford the 5-star room rates there is always the sumptuous afternoon tea. read more

You arrive at this prestigous manor house by way of a long windy drive way which cuts through the estate and the golf course. Ever hopeful of spotting wildlife i was on the lookout for bunnies and the possiblt sighting of deer, but it was not to be. We arrived at the front door to be greated by a man dressed in uniform who welcomed us and hoped we would enjoy our stay. The entrance hall is pretty impressive, very high ceilings and frescos everywhere. We made our way to the reception and were shown where we were to have our afternoon tea. One of three rooms on the ground floor, two with views across the extensive mature gardens and one across the car park. Each room is decorated differently and very old style. There are small low tables onto which a napkin and knife are placed, you sit in high backed formal leather chairs or cosy sofas, its all mixed up. In one corner is a self playing piano, much to my husband's disgust Afternoon tea was delightful, little sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream. They even managed a decent afternoon tea with gluten free bread and instead of the little cakes my husband received, I was lucky to have fresh strawberries and the like :) It was a really pleasant way to spend an afternoon on a cold December day. What was lovely is that there was no rush to the occassion, we could have spent hours there and presumably had pre dinner drinks before heading home, unfortunately this trip was just a brief visit. I am sure we will go back and take the oldies there for their birthday or just as a treat. read more
