I absolutely love lush but this location every time I come they seem to be out of everything! And the girl who walks around the floor with short bob almost is so rude! And completely walked away before I was even done talking or asking. Looks like lush customer service has definitely gone down or is going downhill if this is there new standard. Also the other lady gave my little sister a sample from a try me mask that was out. When I asked if that was safe because all the people who come in can stick their finger in it. She said it is what they do all the time, and that it was actually store policy. Then the other lady helping me said it was totally fine because it had honey in it so it was antibacterial...... Idk about you but that sounds like a sure way to get someone sick or to break out really bad, honey or not! I told my little sister to just throw it away, I don't need her getting sick or a rash from something everyone sticks their fingers in! And quit frankly that's just pure disgusting as well. So if you do get a sample to try make sure it's not from a try me one that everyone has put their fingers in. However the workers here are usually lovely and helpful! I enjoy they offer environmentally friendly beauty/self care options and are mainly comprised of natural ingredients that are fairly resourced. This LUSH is too small to be in the Scottsdale mall. There is literally not enough room for all the products, staff, and shoppers!!! I hate visiting this LUSH simply because I feel claustrophobic and rushed (trying to get out of the crowded store as quickly as I can). I've been to the LUSH in Chandler and like that one better - it's a bigger store so everything isn't squished (and it's also less busy). Bottom line: LUSH, I know you're making tons of money at the Scottsdale mall. You can afford a bigger store! Employees are very eager to help and you won't go more than 2 minutes unnoticed in the store. Don't be afraid to ask for guidance! It's a confusing and slightly unorganized store. I love Lush it is my absolute favorite store, however today my encounter with Lauren was rather striking. She was so aggressive with not only me but another customer as I was trying to smell a cream with my mask ON. She came up to me and yelled excuse me which one did you want because I'm going to have to pull that since you opened it (that is very embarrassing to the customer). At no time while I was greeted outside did I get told I could not smell things WITH MY MASK on. I understand policy and will uphold to it however yelling aggressively at a customer (not just me but another young gal) is absolutely uncalled for and terrible customer service. Has such a great time at this Lush today! All the employees were so friendly and helpful!!! Best of all, they catered to my son and he got to play with bubbles and smell lots of yummy things. But anyways, it looks like a huge popsicle and you stick it under the running bath water to create bubbles. I learned of Lush several years ago when I received their products as a gift. Soon thereafter, I checked out the first store they opened up in Manhattan, but I must admit I never shopped there often because it was so damn pricey! As I entered the doorway, I was greeted by an eagle named Phoenix as Lush celebrated their "charity pot" project to protect endangered animal species. I entered further and was greeted right away by a sales associate who explained the event and demonstrated the cocoa butter laden lotion on my hand - yum. I was then led over to another associate who helped me with the "caca" henna hair bars. I know a lot about henna and I must say Kristen did a great job in explaining its use. In addition to the henna, I picked up some heavenly cocoa butter bath bombs before being offered some vegan cake and TJ's sparkling lemonade! The cake was made by a winner of cupcake wars! More yum! I love Lush and their products. No, they aren't completely "all-natural" and do contain some of the same ingredients as store brands, however, that being said, they contain a whole lot less of the unnatural ingredients you find in store brands and anything that is less harmful, is a plus in my book. Yes, some of their products can be pricey. I usually wait for a good sale (usually around the holidays) and buy up bath bombs and such at that time instead of during the regular year. They last forever, so it doesn't really matter if you buy it in December and wait til May to use it. The handmade lotions and other liquid products are another story. If you love the line and it works for your skin, usually you are willing to pay a little more for it. Brandon was an amazing help. He answered our questions easily and without hesitating to admit that some of the products had chemical base ingredients. He was more than happy to direct us to chemical-free products if we wanted to see them. Sales staff at beauty counters, boutiques and pretty much anywhere other than a Target aisle are going to offer to assist with products and info. Oh Lush how I love thee. I was fortunate to discover Lush in 2000 while traveling in Sweden. At that time I bought as much as I could fit into my backpack and brought it back to the States! Yes I was a Lush smuggler.Every time I returned to Europe I bought all the Lush products I could. I think since 2000 I have been to a Lush store in over 12 countries! Even Iceland had a store before the US did! Since I was traveling a decent amount my favorite product was and still is their shampoo bars. They are great to pack since they don't take up much space and you don't have to worry about the liquid ban! One negative thing is that Lush will discontinue items- including my favorite shampoo bar ever- Jumping Juniper =( There is an amazing sale after Christmas where their poxed sets are buy 1 get 2 free!!! The only reason I can't give the store 5 stars is the odor. Some people really like the smell in the store, but for me it is overpowering and I have to leave the store for a few min. while shopping in order to breathe.
