I am legally blind and with having a white cane, you live a one arm lifestyle. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a lovely lady name Abby and she is wonderful! I knew what I needed to get and Abby was so helpful and got everything for me which was great and I thought I had to go up to the counter. And then she pops out and says " I can bring the mobile app out to you and we don't have to go to the counter?" Well that's just about made my day Because I had everything right there on one of the chairs in the store and it would've been another hassle to bring the bags of everything else I bought and that to go to the counter and do everything. I absolutely love this place. Inused to walk by it all the time and thought that it was just an overpriced soap shop. I didn't realize how thoughtful they are with the ingredients, their packaging, and supporting causes around Edmonton. Their products are a little more expensive than most but so worth it. My husband loves their men hair products and I love their soaps, shampoos, creams, face wash, Eye make up remover. Most of their products are vegan and a lot of are package free. read more

My first visit to a Lush store was yesterday; I have heard about them before and walked by a few times but for some reason never went in. I absolutely LOVE how the store smells, but if you're sensitive to scents then you may not enjoy it so much. I was approached by Mallory (pretty sure that's her name), who is very nice and sweet. I explained to her that I wanted like 40 samples (exaggeration much?), and started listing everything I wanted to try before committing and buying. She offered to try some products on my face, and I happily accepted. She used several products on my face while explaining what they are, the benefit of using them, and answering my questions. I had come in with a face full of white heads and clogged pores, due to some new products I have been using (sorry for the gross tmi), yet she did not look disgusted or act weird, so I appreciated that. She didn't pressure me into buying anything, but let me know that if I did choose to buy something and I didn't like it, I can return it or exchange it within 30 days. My only two complaints are: 1. The fact that everyone just dips their fingers into the pots. I seen another reviewer mention this, and I have to agree with her. I also agree that they should have factory seals on products. 2. Using perfume/fragrance in certain products. I like to wear perfume, just not on my face. I will still be giving their products a try though. Just as a side note on the products: the horrible breakouts I was having yesterday were completely soothed by this morning. That led me to the Whyte Ave Lush location to buy a few things. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by and checking out their products. The brand is against animal testing, which is fabulous. This store in Kingsway Mall means I don't have to travell all across the city to other stores to stock up on fresh face mask and bubble bars. The staff members are always friendly and knowledgable so to all the new Lushies, by all means ask away or better yet, ask for samples to test at home. There are a few staples from this lovely store. For example, fresh face mask like Love Lettuce which is good for relaxing and cleansing; Rosy Cheeks for glowing; Brazened Honey, Catastrophe cosmetic which is great for calming a sun-burnt skin or lightening your skin tone, Cosmetic Warrior which is awesome for treating those hormonal pimples (ladies you know what I mean...the one or two stubborn unwelcomed big ones protruding along the jawline during some monthly timing wink wink)...I could go on and on about these amazing fresh made face masks. The bubble bars like Sunnyside and RoseJam are unbelievably lathery, rich in smell and texture...pretty much senses overload when you run either one in a hot bath to unwind after a busy work day. I love this store. It's a great place for gifts or for treating yourself. There is always lots of staff but non-intrusive, they can answer questions but also leave you alone to browse. If you care for quality products that aren't tested on animals this is a great retailer. There's a new bath bomb available called the unicorn, it smells fantastic and looks really pretty too! I absolutely love Lush products. Their bath bombs are amazing. I love going to this location because it's not that busy and not that crowded. The lady with the pink braids in her hair was extremely nice helping me find some bath bombs that were new that I didn't have. I love it here. Each of the staff members are so knowledgeable and helpful. I'm not the type of person to really want to strike up a conversation with employees at stores. I'm not saying I'm rude I just don't really feel the need to chat, however whenever I'm in this Lush I find myself having almost full conversations with each employee I encounter. They treat you like friends more than just another sale. This is by far my favourite Lush location to visit. read more

This is my fave Lush in the city & it's not that the other stores are inferior by way of customer service by any means. No, the reason I love this store in particular? Sheer SPACE! The other Lush stores seem too small for all the things they have in them and make me feel a little anxious, especially when they're busy. The Kingsway location makes me feel like I can breathe and it's a great feeling! I LOVE Lush's products. I completely stand by their shampoo bars. I haven't used bottled shampoo for almost 2 years and I don't miss it! Shampoo bars are so convenient & great for travel! If you ever find yourself in a Lush & not sure what you're looking for be sure to ask one of the employees (if they haven't already asked you)! They are well versed in the product and will surely be able to find something that will work for you! You can always ask for a sample of something if you're not quite sure if the product is something you want to commit to. I was so, so happy when the signs went up on the construction project for this location. Living on the North end and not driving meant either making the long trip to the teeeeny tiny West Ed store, or catching even more busses to get to the Whyte Ave location. And while I have definitely done both, I very much prefer the convenience of having one on my end of the city instead. It doesn't hurt that I actually work in the mall, either. I love the layout of this LUSH location; it's very open and inviting, and with its tall glass storefront windows and stark black chalkboard signage, it looks very modern. And you can smell it from 4 or 5 stores away, which I consider a plus! Everytime I've visited, it has been very clean and in-order, even during Christmas. I can clearly see most of the product at a glance, and a closer look reveals even more. Occasionally they'll have a lot of their product out-of-stock, but usually they seem very well-stocked on all the essentials. I haven't met all the staff, but I do remember a woman named Maddison who was very helpful when I was shopping for a Christmas gift for my sister. I'm familiar with pretty much everything LUSH carries, but she had some great suggestions for gifts and gift pairings that I hadn't thought of. Even if this store wasn't the most convenient, I think I would make a trip just to shop here. read more

What's not to love about Lush? This location has the regular range of body and bath related goodies. I'm a huge fan of the bath bombs and the solid soaps are perfect for travelling. The store smells yummy and has a good selection, but every time I've gone there's been a couple of things I wanted that were out of stock... boo! A solid location apart from that. Although I have to complain that the staff here is a lot pushier than staff I've had in other locations. Can't I just shop for what I want without people trying to up-sell me every 4.5 seconds? read more

2013 and Kingsway Mall has a new Lush store! I do like some of the LUSH products: the hand cut soaps are fantastic such as the Karma, Snowcake and Dirty - careful though, don't leave these soaps in the shower -- allow them to air dry as they will disappear if water hits them continuously. And I really like the relatively new tooth tabs which you use in place of toothpaste. I have a real problem with toothpaste because of the ingredient sodium l. sulfate which happens to be found in most toothpastes and it is really 'stinging' and desiccating to my mouth. Well, these tooth tabs that Lush has created are perfect because they are comprised mostly of Sodium Bicarbonate and essential oils and do not sting or irritate my mouth at all and really do a great job in cleaning my teeth and mouth. I like the 'chou chou' tabs the best, you can purchase 30 tabs for $4.95. I find Lush an interesting and innovative cosmetic store as the creators of these products do seem to try to use ingredients that are minimal (the ingredient list is not overwhelming) and the stuff they put into the lotions and potions is probably pretty good (they source known stuff and not crap!). Now, the downside of this Lush store (and actually every Lush store that I have shopped-Victoria, Vancouver, Whistler, Edmonton)are the poor sanitation and hygiene of the employees and some of the products do not have 'safety' seals. I find that the employees generally are unkempt in appearance and their personal hygiene is atrocious (yes, you need to wash your hands --scrub the filth underneath your fingernails...please!). I have seen employees at Lush with dirt underneath their fingernails and they dip their fingers into a product such as the creams to demonstrate (which makes me gag). Now likely, the employees are working on the cash register maybe handling cash and putting product into bags and wrapping soaps into the paper, then they do different tasks such as showing customers the products but they do not wash their hands in between tasks and it really shows! This is just plain gross. As well, in one way Lush is very generous in that they give samples of products but many of the employees sticks their fingers into the product or sample jar and then will put the product into the little jar for you to take it home and try (well that is nice to have the Lush sample but you also get the employee's germs be it staph aureus, fecal coliform, etc., etc.,....to spread all over yourself!) Lush as a corporate entity really needs to revisit their policy on staff hygiene and sanitation, in fact I watched one of their videos on line which ( You tube) shows their staff making one of their products in their factory in BC and I almost barfed when I saw how unkempt this guy was ( I automatically would have thought he would be wearing clean and sanitary clothing and would be working in an environment where they would be minimizing cross contamination as much as possible -- sterile free is impossible but it would be nice if they at least tried -- this factory looked like they were working on a commune on Cortez Island, BC). As well, they need to provide a factory seal on all of their products. As it is now, people can open up a jar of cream and stick their finger in and then you go and buy it and take it home with their snotty germs left behind...nice. Now the upside of the employees in LUSH, they are very nice people in general and usually very helpful. read more

So how does one write this without feeling like a jerk. My recent visit, well about ten mins ago I was shocked to see the little clothing one worker was wearing as the store seems to represent itself better then this. One girls disgusting ass flab was hanging out the bottom of her shorts ( this is where I feel a little bad) yes if she was hot i would of said nothing. Thou in this case it was beyond beauty. How about some god dam class and self respect. This is a public mall where one including myself brings their family. I don't need to see this or my wife or my children to be subjected to this horror. Your father would bow his head in shame. Asking himself did he not raise his daughter with most class then this. My point is you work in the public eye. Wear appropriate clothing to work, have some class, have respect for ur coworkers, stop thinking about yourself or stay home in the dark. read more

I really like this new lush store. Having one in the mall in work at is so convenient! The store is bright, big and seems to be a different concept from the other stores in the city. All the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgable without being pushy. Once they realize I'm old hat at lush products, I'm left to browse and grab what I need. Went to Lush yesterday to get gifts and had the best customer service in such a long time! Items bought: Dirty Springwash, The Brightside Bubble bath bomb, And a sparkly gold bar called Sunnyside. My god-daughter will love this! The young lady helping me could not possibly have been more pleasant in attitude, in knowledge and patience. I wanted specific scents for my friends and she went through so many cool products that I bought more than I came in for. She even gave me a great sample of something called Kalamazoo Beard and Face wash for shaving. Clearly, I hadn't shaved in days and I'm usually clean cut. Exceptional experience, especially when you're from Calgary and there hasn't been customer service in that city for quite a few years. It's refreshing to shop in Edmonton and get this level of super nice service from a smiling and super knowledgable staff person. From the receipt, to employee #4060480 - keep up the fantastic work!
