Okay, so I'm one of those people that deep down loves Lush, but is usually thrown off by the prices, sometimes all of the smells, and the reputation of the staff for being a little pushy and kind of overbearing. That being said, I was really in the mood to find something for myself because well, I wanted to pamper myself and feel good so why not? I can risk it, right?
Second thing- I'm not a bath bomb person. I'm 6'6 so no tubs for me. I appreciate them, but find them useless in my shower-filled life which I feel is kind of a shame because I feel like the bread and butter of Lush is the variety of their bath bombs, bubble bars, bath oils and their, "fun" product which is like adult play-doh for bath time.
The smell in here is either amazing or completely off-putting depending on which mood you're in or if you're able to handle a variety of scents.
I fumbled around for a while. What I love is that sampling, or trying the items is kind of a must so you can get your hands on, literally everything. I was able to sample lotions, hair putty, soaps and more just to make sure it was something I'd like.
The girls working here was actually pretty freaking phenomenal. Yes, they did their standard, "what are you here for?" chat which I get, but they weren't pushy. They really wanted to help. They encouraged you to try things, but didn't follow you around like hounds. Once I picked up few items I was given a basket to help me out, which I appreciated.
I picked up a few small items: a bar for my feet, some mouthwash tablets, and some facial misting product because I like to feel hydrated and keep that skin glowing.
At the checkout they ask you if you'd like to take home a sample of anything, and they mean anything in the store. Please say yes to that. Because if nothing else, why not? Free stuff is amazing. Especially too- the things here aren't that cheap so getting a free little try is definitely worth your time. Plus you'll know if it's worth actually spending your cash on.
Overall I had a great experience here. Yes, it's not cheap, but I do see the quality in the products. The lotion I sampled stayed on my hands all day after multiple washings. Lush is sort of a treat, but this location is definitely worth stopping by. read more
