What a great first time visiting Luscious Paws! It's nestled in the corner, I was told they have been open for a year now but never did much advertisement. Let me tell you this looks like a place Elle Woods from Legally Blonde would take her pooch, I love all the pink and chic glamour. I left my 6 year old frenchie for the first time at the groomers since we adopted her and the gal who took care of her was so delightful. She called herself Auntie and said Charlie had a great first time. The animals are not caged and they even had a cute little pink goody bag filled with a treat, pink poop bags, a pen, and a hot pink hair tie. I mean the attention to detail is just what you want. Our package was $90 which included bath, blow out, nail trim, anal gland expression, a little trim too! I loved how they even texted me a picture of her about 1.5 hours after our appt with a picture of her saying she was ready for pick up. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I was charged $140 and had to wait 6 hours for my dog to be groomed my 3 pounds dog Despite the long wait and high price, the grooming was not done properly. The small amount of hair that was left on my dog was tangled, and I found a large knot afterward. For $140 and 6 hours, I expected a much higher level of care and attention to detail. This experience was unacceptable and very frustrating. I will not be returning to this place, and I would not recommend it to others. read more

Super disappointed and upset. I paid $200 to get my golden doodle groomed, I understand he was very matted and needed to be shaved down to the skin. However after getting home I realized he had a bunch of wounds everywhere. His face, elbows, and nipples had blood coming out and very hurt. My dog is 4 years old and it's not the first time he's been very matted, however no other grooming service had ever hurt him . Specially in such horrible way. On top of that his ears are full of knots and weren't addressed, although that's secondary to the way they hurt my dog. This is crazy. Never ever ever giving them my business again. I've brought my pup in at least 3 times in the last year for a full service bath, cut, etc. and I've been more than pleased with each and every service. Luscious Paws goes the extra mile to treat my pup like a prince - sending "pup-dates" as he progresses through his groom. Additionally, other salons have said that my pup was "too agitated" to get his nails cut. I took my dog to this groomer and unfortunately had a very upsetting experience. When I picked her up, she was bleeding from both ears and had multiple nicks on her body from being shaved. As a pet owner, it was incredibly distressing to see her in that condition. Since then, I've been communicating with the owner's husband, who has been defensive and unwilling to take responsibility for what happened. While he has offered to refund the grooming cost if I remove my reviews, this does not address the two veterinary bills I've had to pay as a direct result of the injuries my dog sustained during her visit. What's been even more heartbreaking is my dog's behavior since coming home. She has been unusually fearful and even aggressive toward me, which is completely out of character for her. She is normally very sweet, and it's clear this experience has deeply affected her. I feel it's important to share this so other pet owners can make informed decisions. I will also be reporting this situation to the Better Business Bureau. This has been a very sad and disappointing experience. read more

Loved that we took our puppy here to Liza first because their groomer Larissa was so sweet and attentive. She did a great job keeping Tinkerbell calm especially since it was her first time at the groomer and had to get cut for the knots in her coat...they sent progress photos and asked exactly what I needed throughout the process which was so nice--especially since we were able to ask to keep as much of her hair as we could versus cutting it all off as we had originally thought would need to happen. Thank goodness we didn't have to cut everything down as we had thought we would need to! Larissa also noticed my puppy's ears looked a little irritated and alerted me to check with my vet to see if there was an ear infection which turned out correct. Had she not said anything we wouldn't even know to ask our vet for help. My 1 1/2 old longhair rescue kitty developed some very bad mats on his rear end , my husband thought we could shave them ourselves, but I really felt that was just not a possibility so I researched and I happened upon Liza and her Luscious Paws business. I had searched some others but her business had exemplary reviews. Her website also stated her passion for taking care of animals and the fact that she grooms cats also was huge. I just felt this was the right place to go and I can honestly say I'm so lucky I found her!!! I cannot recommend Liza highly enough. I'm so very lucky that she is close to me in Laguna Niguel. I took my cat there yesterday with of course, some trepidation, but I just knew in my heart this was the right place for him and I am beyond happy with the results and Liza and her care and how she took care of our cat! I accidentally sent a quote request to multiple groomers on Yelp and ended up getting a call from Liza's husband at Lucious Paws -- and honestly, I'm really glad he reached out. They did an amazing job with my dog, Mochi. Right when I walked in, I immediately noticed the setup. They don't use traditional cages. It's more of an open floor plan where the pets and groomers are in the same space. For a dog like Mochi who can get anxious, this made a huge difference. When I picked him up, he wasn't stressed or nervous at all -- he actually looked happy and calm. His groomer took such good care of him. You can tell they truly love what they do, and it shows in how they treat the dogs. For me, it's not about the price -- it's about knowing someone is taking care of my dog the way I do, and that's exactly how they treated Mochi.
