I can't recommend Lupa K9 enough! Our adopted mini golden doodle used to pull on the leash, ignore recall, and completely freak out around distractions. He even bit a kid in the face before we got him! After working with Caroline using a balanced training approach, he could hike off-leash with confidence and stay totally focused -- even around other dogs, squirrels, and joggers. We learned what his limits were and how to truly support him. Caroline was patient, professional, and really took the time to explain the "why" behind everything. The training took place in real-world environments around San Diego -- parks, neighborhoods, and trails -- in addition to the home. I learned about consistency, understood how to be a leader and how to clearly communicate with our dog so he felt safe and less anxious in the world. If you're looking for a trainer who understands behavior, not just obedience, and who can help you build a truly reliable relationship with your dog, Lupa K9 is the one. Worth every penny! read more

Caroline is amazing. During 2020 I adopted a rescue dog (Luffy) from Korea. He was beaten up pretty badly when he was found and rescued, and I suspect another dog had mauled him. As such, when he came to the US he was extremely dog reactive and would lunge and charge dogs even from across the street. I worked with trainers in the Bay, but when I moved to San Diego I decided he needed more personal attention and a private trainer. I found Lupa K9 and reached out. Caroline is so kind and spent a lot of time on our introduction call to fully understand the issues that Luffy was experiencing. We started working together in 2022, and I have been thrilled with Luffy's progress. Caroline is so experienced, gentle, and most importantly extremely empathetic. Luffy is so stubborn (Frenchton/French Bulldog) but we found the right path forward together. Most importantly, this was so beneficial to me. I needed to learn how to understand Luffy better, what his triggers were, and how to address them in the moment. The lessons that I've learned from her will stay with me forever and also allows me to help friends with similar issues. Luffy is now much happier and calmer, and I am no longer worried about taking him out in public. He is a work in progress, but thanks to Caroline he continues to make huge strides regularly. Do not hesitate to call and hire her. She is smart, kind, knowledgeable, empathetic and truly loves all dogs and wants to help develop healthier relationships with dogs and their humans. She's a rare find. 100/10 will continue to work with her and recommend her to anyone! read more

Highly recommend Caroline!! She has helped us so much with our mini Aussiedoodle Spencer! He absolutely loves her as well lol! She provides training based on your specific needs, always shares the reasons why we should focus on certain things, and she is a realist who understands that every family and their dog are different. She is there to help and support in any way possible and for that we are grateful! read more

Working with Caroline was fantastic! Her abilities and plans for working with me and my puppy were excellent and she was able to work with us at home and in the community to address the issues we faced and help me to learn how to be a better handler with my dog! I don't know how we would have worked through my Aussies separation anxiety without her! Cannot recommend her enough! read more

Working with Caroline was amazing! I called her desperate for our 4 year old German Shepherd we had adopted with severe reactivity to other dogs and people when on the leash. Caroline increased my confidence as a dog handler greatly, and her warm, friendly presence helped me feel really comfortable when working with her. I highly recommend Caroline to anyone struggling with a reactive pup or just looking to learn the basic skills like not pulling on the lead and commands. read more

Caroline is the absolute BEST. We were referred to Caroline by a friend and could not be more thankful. We have worked with SO many trainers over the past few years (and have spent literally thousands of dollars working with "behavior specialists") and always end up back where we started. We adopted a very anxious, unsocialized, insecure corgi with a really rough first year of her life. We knew we had our work cut out for us but we had no idea how intense it would be. After working with tons of trainers, following through on their tips, we would make some headway and then she would regress again because it never got to the root of her issues. The first visit with Caroline I immediately knew we were finally working on what we needed to. I had NO idea some of the things she did inside our home that I thought of as her showing me affection but was actually her showing signs of separation anxiety. Had you asked me if she had separation anxiety I would have said no. Hello co-dependent relationship! She is your typical corgi in that she is bossy and too smart for her own good, so we are lucky that she picks up things quickly. However, because she's so smart, diversion tactics wouldn't work because she would eventually figure out we were trying to distract her from and then resort back to the behaviors we were trying to get away from. She also made it impossible to fully ween her treats because if we weren't giving treats, she would only listen when she wanted to. After our first weekend of working with Penny on these new tips, her anxiety was already reduced by probably 50%. She was so much calmer and not obsessed with following me room to room. She is making it out the front door in a calm and smooth way rather than busting out the door and scanning the environment for potential threats. Both my husband and I are shocked with the transformation that happened within just the first few days. Caroline's knowledge and expertise in explaining the reason behind some of these tactics helped me trust the process. I'm not gonna lie, I always liked my little shadow but knowing that it wasn't good for Penny and contributing to her anxiety helped me get through the emotional component. Previous trainers we have worked with had some overlapping tips, but either they didn't understand why you do it or they didn't explain it to us, and I need to understand the why component to follow through to the extent that she needs. We are SO SO thankful as we had been having increased fights between our two pups, all started by Penny, and we felt we had ran out of options but couldn't fathom the idea of trying to find her a new home. There have been no fights and our older pup is back to "grooming" her because the calmness must be radiating out of her to him too! THANK YOU!!! read more

I can't say enough GREAT things about our experience working with Caroline! We have a 9 month old GSP, and as awesome of a dog as she is, she was a major puller on the leash, very excitable when people or dogs would approach us, and had ZERO recall when off leash. In a matter of five sessions we have a NEW pup!! She walks beautifully on the leash, NO pulling, and when we cross paths with other hikers and dogs, she greats them happily but NOT overly excited and jumping all over them. We get comments regularly on what a difference there is in her leash manners. Lastly, we now have a dog we can take to the trails, open fields, and the beach and let her have the freedom to run freely, and sniff till her hearts desire. Her world is so much bigger and greater because of all that Caroline taught us. As a trainer Caroline is patient, kind, understanding, and VERY knowledgeable! She was always available for any questions or concerns in between our training sessions, which we greatly appreciated. read more

Caroline helped me with my dog's reactivity and impulse control. I have had my Akita/Aussie/Shepherd mix for nearly three years. He ended up being double the size the rescue predicted and I had a very difficult time managing him on my own. She introduced some training tools and gave me creative ideas on how to maintain his attention. She was always on time, professional and flexible with scheduling (it rained a lot during our time together so we had to reschedule a few times). I am really happy with the work and progress we've made. I am a much more confident and in-control dog owner than I have ever been thanks to Caroline's support and guidance. I would recommend her to anyone who is determined to train their dog and understands that training is a life-long process. She made the process fun and rewarding. Also, my dog absolutely adored her from day one! Last but not least, what stood out to me the most was that she offered support even after we finished our training courses. She said I am welcome to text her or even set up single sessions after our time together. I think GOOD dog trainers will offer that support to their clients because they understand dog behaviors shape and grow over time. Thank you, Caroline :) read more

We contacted Lupa K9 Dog Training for help with our dog who has fear aggression issues. Lupa K9 sounded excellent and we were all set to contract their services. We were asked to sign a contract before hiring Lupa K9 which we understood was protocol and read it over carefully. We are no stranger to contracts and any number of professional encounters and this did not seem like it would be anything different. However, the contract was of such poor quality that it caused us to question their professionalism. The contract was over-the-top in its legal protection of Lupa K9, emphasizing again and again the dog owner's liability for all potential risks and exonerating any negligence on the part of Lupa K9. One quote from the contract: "Owner knowingly and voluntarily assumes all...risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of Lupa K9 LLC, its trainers, owners, directors, officers, employees, independent contractors, representatives and/or agents, and assumes full responsibility for Owner's and Dog's participation in dog training during the contracted period and in the future." The contract continues in this vein throughout. At one point, the owner is required to take responsibility for the weather, among many factors that could result in injury or death and for which the owner is solely liable! We had major and minor issues with the contract but the most serious boiled down to Lupa K9 taking no responsibility for their own potential negligence. Not only is this not legally binding but any professional who requires this sort of protection for themselves is one to stay away from. We caution anyone who considers hiring Lupa K9 to read the full contract through to the end. When we spoke to Caroline about our specific concerns in the contract, she replied, "if the language makes you uncomfortable, I understand your hesitation," but dismissed our actual concerns, stating instead, "I assure you that the contract was created by a contract lawyer." We found out all we needed to know about Lupa K9 from their contract-- it spoke volumes! read more

TL;DR: Caroline is a miracle worker. We hired Lupa K9 Dog Training to help our french bulldog who was having a lot of reactive issues with bigger dogs, children, and/or skateboarders. He has never, despite us even going to SPCA Puppy Manners courses, been able to be "down" or "stay" in a spot. But two weeks later, Goron is 100 times better. He's beginning to understand that we're in charge (and we now understand that it is equally up to us to help him know those boundaries). He's sitting more regularly, he knows down, and "bed" (which allows him to chill in his bed while we move around the room). All of this was never possible before. He's calmer in the house. He ignores most outside movements now (from kids to dogs) and a recent walk in the park was a lovely experience whereas before it would bring us (and our dog) quite a bit of stress. He obeys on walks and seems to enjoy it more too. In addition, Caroline has set us up to continue training him w/amazingly easy-to-implement tips and mini-training sessions we can do in our own apt or at the park. It's taught all of us to reset, and we plan to use this gift to make us better as a family. HUGE thank you to Caroline for her flexibility, patience, and incredible skills to make us have a new mannered Frenchman in the apartment. I would recommend her to anyone with a dog who needs some help (and plan to recommend her to a few of our friends who are currently struggling in different situations). Caroline, you're truly gifted. Thanks again! read more

Caroline was a god-send for our dog Fitz! He was leash aggressive towards people & dogs, as well as being hyperactive in the home. We were worried that we would not be able to keep him with his unpredictability and aggression. After just one session, we saw huge improvement. Caroline gave us great tools, encouragement and support for 6 more sessions. Our dog was completely transformed and responsive to training. Caroline was fun to talk to, knowledgable & flexible. She was easy to schedule with & made it work with my ever-changing schedule. Her rates are incredibly reasonable and fair as well. I would absolutely 100% recommend Caroline & her services! read more

Caroline is a dog training wonder woman! We initially reached out to her because we were having difficulty walking our pup on-leash. He was pulling frequently and straying from the sidewalk, and our walks became a source of dread and frustration rather than enjoyment. From the moment Caroline stepped into our house, she shared her extensive knowledge like an open book. She took the time to ask questions about our history with Sherlock, and explained the *why* behind his behavior and her approaches to correcting it. Though we only approached Caroline with walking issues, in a short hour she had taught Sherlock how to lie "down" (something we couldn't nail in 6 weeks of puppy training at a prominent SF facility), calm down when overstimulated, and hold a "stay" with food several inches in front of him. Not to mention all of the training she gave us! When Sherlock started to exhibit leash reactivity ~6 months later, it was a no-brainer to reach back out to Caroline for help. Again, she explained to us where the behavior was stemming from and how to manage it. Caroline is so unbelievably good at what she does, not to mention a delight to be around. If we ever have behavioral issues crop up in the future (knock on wood!), we know exactly who to call. Thank you, Caroline! read more

My puppy Millie and I couldn't be more happy with our results from training with Caroline. We did the basic puppy training and have seen incredible results. The night of the first training session I saw improvements with Millie and it just got better. Caroline is so easy to work with, very knowledgeable, kind and was able to make adjustments based on how Millie was reacting to the training. Not only has Millies behavior improved dramatically but our bond has also. Caroline help me set reasonable expectations for Millie. Millie is much happier now because she has a better understanding of her life here at home with me. I am constantly getting compliments on how well behaved Millie is for a 4 month old puppy. I am even able to bring her to coffee shops and restaurants without any stress. I will definitely be purchasing more training with Caroline! read more

I contacted Lupa K9 in February to help with a new addition to the family. A 2 year old Husky named Allie. A little back story on Allie, She was rescued by friend of mine that witnessed her being thrown out of a moving vehicle in January of this year ( 2018 ). My friend was able to get Allie off the highway and to a vet where she was found to be chipped. They contacted the owners whom refused to take her back. I gave her a forever home but found that she had SEVER separation anxiety and a general lack of any basic obedience. If she was left alone for any length of time ( I'm talking less then 30 seconds ) she would go ballistic and tear apart anything within reach. Along came Caroline to save the day! She had a great understanding of Allie from the start and was able to help from the first session. Caroline was able to identify what methods worked best for Allie to learn from and she worked with me in how best to teach her. Through our sessions with Caroline's guidance Allie and I became a great team and she blossomed into the confidant dog she deserves to be. Allie went from being scared that she was going to be abandoned and not knowing her place in the world or if she even had one to a different dog entirely. She is able to be left alone at home for as long as my shifts are (sometimes over 12 hours) and without fear of what will be shredded when I come home. Not only was Caroline able to help with the separation anxiety issues Allie was having but she also helped with her basic obedience as well. With the methods that Caroline coached both Allie and I in she went from fighting the leash and collar to hardly needing one. From not knowing the basics such as sit, stay, come to being master of the basics and having a great foundation for further skills. I will and absolutely do recommend Lupa K9 and Caroline to anyone whom is having issues with their dog. She saved Allies life and a bit of my own as well. read more

Working with Caroline was life changing for my boyfriend and I with our 7 month old husky mix. When I first contacted her I had a laundry list of issues we were having with Bodhi- separation anxiety, pulling, etc. and we were at a loss of where to even start to get him trained. After just the first session and implementing a training collar I was amazed at the progress and after 4 Bodhi is a changed dog and now gets comments about how well behaved he is on the daily and is properly channeling his puppy energy in a productive way! I cannot song her praises enough and tell everyone I meet that they need to contact her! read more

We reached out to Caroline to help with our reactive 2 year old mix, Roscoe, and she was AMAZING! My first call with her was so informative and it felt like she really wanted to help us, help Roscoe- it didn't feel like I was getting a sales pitch. She helped us build Roscoe's confidence in our leader skills and himself. Since training, Roscoe is much more relaxed at home and really enjoys his walks because he isn't nervous and stressed. Caroline is a not only a great trainer, she's so nice and a joy to be around. Roscoe loved her and I will always recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer! read more

We did about 4 or 5 training sessions with Caroline to work on cat training my boyfriends 2 year old pitty with my two cats. The dogs first reaction to the cats was to bark and flip out, my young and not so bright cats reaction to the dog was to get excited and run straight to the dog- as you can imagine this was not the best combination. After obedience training and lots of patient exposure therapy (and luckily a dog who is territorial but doesn't have much prey drive) they are actually buddies now. It took about 9 months of tedious training but now the dog and younger cat play and follow each other around. My old lady cat mostly just avoids the dog and the dog generally just leaves her alone as well. All around worth every penny spent on training and we now have a peaceful household. Thanks Lupak9!!! read more

I can not say enough great things about Caroline. She is such an amazing, knowledgeable dog trainer. She basically saved my dog from being given away. I was really having a hard time getting my pup to do anything that I said. Caroline gave me great tips, technics, and body language guide to ensure a successful outcome. And it all worked! In just a month, my puppy now knows how to sit, down, leave it, drop it, off, stay and so much more! I actually enjoy our walks now without being pulled. I plan on having follow-up sessions through the next year of my pup's life. We could not have done this process without her! Thank you so much, Caroline! read more

We found Caroline online while searching for help with our little chihuahua/klee kai mix. He was showing aggressive behaviors towards other dogs. Every time we took him out for a walk it quickly became a game of 'avoid ALL dogs'. Was no fun! Caroline responded to my email the same day and we talked on the phone for close to an hour about our dogs behaviors. Caroline started coming to our house and training all of us, not just the dog.During the first walk Caroline got him to stop pulling on his leash and showed us that he can be near dogs without going crazy. The tools and tips she's given us have helped our dog greatly. He's still a work in progress but that's more our fault than his :) I would definitely recommend Caroline to anyone looking for dog training. read more

Caroline helped me so much with understanding my dog's needs and using balanced training techniques to set a solid foundation in training. I appreciated her flexibility, communication, and timely responses, especially as our first initial sessions were done virtually and were super helpful! She breaks things down in a way that was easy for me to understand and gave me the tools needed to make sure that I was successful in building strong leadership with my dog. I would highly recommend working with Caroline, she is the best. read more

My fiancé, Alex, and I cannot say enough good things about Caroline! She quickly responded to my inquiry and we had a very in-depth phone consult. The initial issue with our puppy was crate/separation anxiety, and with Caroline's help, it was eliminated super quickly. She coached Alex through the training in a very professional manner, thoroughly explaining each step and all of our pup's body language. She taught him how to properly layer the e-collar into training, and the results were amazing. In addition to his basic commands, Mac now knows 'place', heel, drop, goes into his crate on command, and crushes off-leash walks. Caroline's services are worth every penny! read more

My husband and I are so happy that we decided to go with Caroline as the trainer for our dog. Cooper is mostly a good boy and does well with obedience commands, but he is very territorial over the house and acts out when we have visitors. As soon as I explained the issue to Caroline over the phone, she was able to offer insights that were dead on and even suggested some tips that we could try to help Cooper calm down. We bought a package from her and we could see a big difference after the first lesson. While Cooper is still anxious when guests are over, he is now able to control his impulses for most part and follow commands. There's still a lot of work to be done, but we're beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We wholeheartedly recommend Caroline and are looking forward to working with her again! read more

Caroline is a wonderful and amazing trainer! Hiring Caroline was one of the best decisions we've made. We had just adopted a 2 year old rottweiler mix from a rescue. While Archie was not aggressive, he was very fearful, extremely shut down, and we quickly learned had a pretty bad case of separation anxiety that led to chewed up carpets and door frames. We knew we needed help right away. We had considered obedience training in a group environment since he didn't know any of his commands, but after a lengthy phone consultation with Caroline, we decided a private trainer was better suited for our needs to address the behavioral issues. After our first session with her, we had already started seeing welcomed changes to Archie - He learned how to lay down, sit, stay, and go into his crate. This was all within the first visit! After we finished the last package session, we decided to continue to work with Caroline on the fun things like off-leash heel and recall. Archie is now a friendly, sweet, and respectful dog that we can take anywhere (coffee shops, restaurants, etc.) We've gotten so many compliments from family and strangers on how well behaved he is. I've even been asked if I was a professional trainer! While Archie's separation anxiety is not 100% fully resolved, he has made amazing progress and can remain alone for up to 5 hours and we know that it will continue to get better. Real talk here - Caroline will give you all the tools you need to succeed, but YOU will really need to put in the time and effort to practice what she preaches. It will take a lot of work and effort to reinforce what she teaches. And sometimes, it will be hard. It will pull on your heartstrings. A one hour session with her each week will not do any good if you don't follow up with the training when she walks out the door. But I promise you that if you do, you will see amazing progress. Do yourself a favor - hire Caroline. She will change your life and your dogs' life for the better. read more

We desperately needed help with our rescue puppy Molly who started to show serious reactive behavior at our house when people would come over. Luckily we found Lupak9/Caroline and she helped us by teaching us different techniques to get our dog to become more calm and less stressed when people would come over. We still have some work to do since she is a nervous dog, but her basic obedience has become amazing since we have introduced the methods from Caroline. I would highly recommend using Lupak9 read more

So happy I found Caroline when I did! We had just moved shortly after adopting a 1.5 year old GSD mix from the shelter and the second "home" sent her into a downward spin. She was barking so furiously all day long that i had received numerous neighbor complaints and one official nose complaint (for barking) from management. To top it off, she became very destructive which added to the stress of the barking. I tried EVERYTHING, had to leave work on several occasions, take days off, etc in hopes to not get an additional complaint and get kicked out of my new apartment after 2 weeks of living there. I tried doggy day care but she was too aggressive, store bought calming aids, vet prescribed anxiety meds, bark collars, extra exercise, chews/toys/puzzles... AND NOTHING WORKED. I almost thought I would either get kicked out of my new home and the idea of possibly having to re-home her crossed my mind for a split second as well. I came across the Lupa K9 website and desperately wrote a "please help me email" to which I received a response that very same night. We were able to get an appointment later that week where we discussed a training game plan and future goals. Caroline shared some tricks with me, that with practice of a few days, made the barking come to a complete halt. After just the first session my dog was not only better behaved, we had crate/anti barking homework, and there was plans to actually move forward in polishing up manners, obedience, and even off leash and recall. My GSD mix now successfully plays off leash, is able to control herself on leash after a lot of impulse control training to not lunge at other dogs, loves her crate and does not bark anymore. She now even travels and flies on airplanes with me and is continuing to be a rockstar. The transformation Caroline has helped us achieve is much more than I could have ever hoped for when I originally had gotten in contact with her. I gladly recommend her to friends and strangers who comment on how well behaved my dog is and am so thankful for the things she has been able to teach me and my dog through our training journey. read more

We cannot recommend Caroline enough! We came to Caroline a little over a month ahead of moving from San Francisco to NY. Ahead of coming to her, we were losing hope. We had rescued our frenchbulldog whose around 1 1/2 years at 6 months but he already had anxiety around children, strollers, bikes and his leash walking was just terrible. We felt out of control on walks and we never wanted to take him to busy places because he was so misbehaved. In the house his energy levels would spike when people came over- jumping up, not taking commands, and running around everywhere. We were losing hope and very nervous moving to NY as it was going to be impossible to avoid busy areas and no one would ever want to come over if he would be jumping all over them. We had heard about Caroline through a referral and she was able to help with EVERYTHING listed above. Caroline worked with us to establish leash manners in the first session. We were shocked- he was walking beside us, listening, and realizing that we were in control rather than running all over the sidewalk- it was amazing. After two sessions, he learned 'go to your bed' where once we said the phrase he would rush to his bed, eventually learning the command 'down' and lie down. He wouldn't leave his bed until released and most of the time would eventually fall asleep. We found he actually loved going to his bed too, it helped give him a place of his own whenever overwhelmed. Caroline delivered and in such a short amount of time!! It was like a weight was lifted after just a couple hours of working with her. Since we had limited time before our move, Caroline worked with our dog on a daily basis walking him to congested areas to get him familiar with all the noises, strollers, bikes, eventually getting him to sit and even lie down on command. Now in New York our dog is incredibly well-behaved and people who knew him previously have told us he is like a 'new dog'. Caroline getting him exposed to these different noises and triggers over time and being patient with him led to he now doesn't react and is the perfect leash walker. When people come up to say hi to him he sits and lets them pet him and doesn't jump up. While moving, having his bed with us so he has a place he feels comfortable has been a lifesaver in providing consistency. We had tried COUNTLESS trainers- spending tons of money and seeing no results. We could not be more grateful to have found Caroline and can't recommend her enough- if you're feeling at your wits end and losing hope that your dog can change and actually start listening to you- don't hesitate to call her. After just one session I couldn't believe the progress and she has continued to be a resource even after we moved. Thank you thank you Caroline for restoring our hope and also helping our dog to be far less anxious and much happier on his walks. read more

I contacted Caroline when we adopted our 3rd dog. Our main concern was impulse control and getting all the dogs to walk well together. Caroline was great and full of helpful information. She uses a balanced method of training, but solely worked with our dogs using positive reinforcement (as per our request). We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. read more

I am SO glad my husband and I made the decision to hire Caroline. We made a big cross country move last summer, and our 4 year old dog was showing some aggressive/anxious behaviors in the months after we arrived in SF. Over the course of 4 sessions, Caroline completely changed our dog's temperament for the better. Not only did she help irradiate the worrisome aggressive behaviors, she taught us how to connect and communicate with our dog more effectively on a day-to-day basis. On top of the awesome results Caroline was really easy to work with - always available for questions and very flexible with setting appointments! We couldn't be more happy with our experience and the results she produced. read more

Working with Caroline really changed our lives! Our move to the city from a rural area took its toll on our dog who was stressed out by everything. Walks were a nightmare, and something we would have to do very early in the morning or late at night in order to avoid people, dogs, and traffic. Now he is like a different dog. I really liked the way Caroline approached our long term goals, working on things step-by-step, week-by-week. This gave us the time to really focus on one main thing between sessions so both me and the dog could build our confidence over time. We look forward to walks now, and the sight of another dog doesn't leave me filled with dread over how our dog will react anymore. The training we did with Caroline reassured me that our dog is way more capable than we thought and he has been able to overcome many of his fears. He's happier and much more confident after his training with Caroline. read more

We were very impressed by Caroline. She is a great listener, and she takes a very practical approach to dog training. Our Westie is very willful, and she helped us control his energy. She was also good at teaching our kids about the importance of consistency. Highly recommended. read more

Lupa K9 dog training is a great program, we love Caroline! Our three dogs Lucas, Lola, and Milo had some basic obedience problems such as pulling on the leash, barking, and started to show some signs of resource guarding. Caroline recommended we sign up for the six class program so we could really transform them into calm, obedient, and happy dogs! On the first day we worked on basic leash work and could already see a difference. The next class we finished off leash work and worked on house commands such as recall (come) and place! After many days of practicing our dogs can now come on command from anywhere in the house as well as return to their bed. Caroline provided my family and I with the resources and guidance necessary to help our dogs live more structured and stress-free lives. In between our sessions we were assigned homework to work on so that what we worked on in our session was really implemented in the dogs' everyday lives. It is a lot of work but if you are willing to put in the time and effort, you will have a happy and well behaved dog! Caroline is super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She solved all of the problems we had with our dogs and we are so glad to have found her! I would highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of a dog trainer! read more

Caroline is amazing!! We reached out to her a few months ago because we were starting to have trouble on walks with our 30 lb frenchie, Beau. He is a sweet dog, but he's very strong and stubborn and started to get reactive on the leash. He would lunge at other dogs, strollers, skateboards, etc. It started to get to the point where I would dread passing another dog. So we initially reached out about her walk program, but after meeting with her we decided to go for a full obedience training package. IT WAS SO WORTH IT. She immediately gave us tools & techniques to address the leash reactivity, got him responding to the "down" command (which we previously thought Beau would just never learn), and then we made it a goal to be comfortable with letting him off-leash. We spread our sessions out giving ourselves a lot of time to practice and reinforce everything Caroline was teaching us (really she was training us, not the dog!). Beau now has 100% recall, loves playing fetch off leash at the park, and is great on walks. He's more relaxed and so are we. I would recommend to Caroline to anyone! read more

I only wish I found Caroline first, she has transformed my rottweiler from a crazy, ill behaved and at times aggressive, to a polite well behaved pet. When I met Caroline, I could not walk my dog within 25' of another dog, now I walk a small path and he is the polite one. Truly one of the best dog trainers I have seen, would highly recommend her to anyone. read more

We had the fortune of meeting Caroline around a year ago. During our time working with Lupa K9, our dog has transformed from 32lbs of frenzied fury to a pooch that's pleasant and well behaved on walks. Prior to working with Caroline, you'd find us walking at odd hours and on odd routes simply to avoid other dog sightings. Now, you'll find us walking calmly and with good manners even in areas thick with dogs (think Tiburon trail, Crissy etc.). Caroline has not only helped show our dog there's another - and better - way, but she's also educated and enlightened us, the humans, too. We're still a work in progress, but Lupa K9 has literally has saved the day (and our sanity). Can't recommend enough! read more

Since working with Lupa, we've seen some great improvements with our dog. His recall is improved, and he obeys commands better. Mostly, it's gone from our dog walking us, to us walking him. read more

Caroline is amazing! We initially reached out to Caroline when our mostly well-behaved puppy started showing a bit of teenage attitude such as barking when someone sat in the "wrong place" on the couch. Caroline was confident that she could help, and help she did! She opened our eyes and showed us that this behavior, plus not walking well on a leash and getting overly excited when guests arrived, was a manifestation of poor impulse control. The most amazing thing we learned from Caroline was how everything is connected. For example, teaching the puppy how to walk well on a leash helped remind her that we are in charge all of the time, and not just on walks. Immediately upon learning to walk well on a leash, she began listening to our commands and following the rules much better in general. She doesn't have any more teenage attitude, she greets guests by waiting patiently for them to address her, and she walks like a model citizen on a leash (which has done wonders for our walking relationship!). Everything really is connected! Caroline's techniques worked so well for our dog - she was able to master the new behaviors and understand the new expectations quickly. And we all enjoyed the experience, including the dog! Caroline is a joy and a real expert. Even if your dog just has a minor issue that you'd like to change, call Caroline! I wish I would have called her sooner. read more

My husband and I are so grateful for the knowledge and experience from Caroline! She was amazing from the start - prompt responses and a great understanding of what our dog's goals were. Our goldendoodle Bailey, (6 months old when we started training) had anxiety and knipping problems (i.e: shredding the door when we're gone, barking at strangers etc.) and hated her crate. all in which we then understood was OBEDIENCE issues. I am so happy to announce that today, after our own paced scheduled 4 sessions, SHE'S 99% improved and a brand new doodle! Family members noticed an immediate change in behavior and Bailey is now a free walking doodle that has deescalated barking at strangers and politely listens to commands (all before turning 1!) . She still has her puppy moments, but she's generally improved all those behavioral problems. Caroline was always reachable via text or a phone call and very accommodating to our schedule. Caroline also gave us valuable feedback and lots of exercises to continue to practice. Just because the trainer gives you tools and methods ...doesn't mean your dog will change instantly. My husband and I had lots of errors in between and we always reached out to Caroline, who quickly gave us advice and consults. Caroline is also AKC certified so she can assist if you want to take the next steps for your dog. I loved her service and she is truly a dog whisperer! thank you Caroline !!! read more

LupaK9- Caroline - has been a game changer for my beloved staffy Oliver. He was leash aggressive with excitement and nervousness pulsing through him. Caroline - in just 3 sessions - has brought us to a place of being calm and focused. Yesterday i stood in amazement as Oliver ignored a cat and a neighbor nemesis dog (i have never even walked right in front of this house yet we were sitting smack dab 2 feet away from the fence with the car 2 feet away and the dog behind the fence !)- truly a miracle worker ! i have had 3 different trainers who have all helped in certain ways but Caroline has really changed the game and for the first time i can see success and Oliver living a calm balanced life as God intended - thank you LupaK9 so much ! i am excited about the progress and looking forward to bringing Oliver to his full potential ! read more
