We end up getting 47 panels, added 4 Tesla power walls to run our entire house. Since it was a huge job, install was scheduled about 1.5 month out. Between current back logs, supply chain issues and permit approvals 9/10 install was pushed to 11/3. Install day came, there was a 15 men crew maybe more that started only to find out brackets were not the right length. We have concrete tiles which is significantly thicker so they packed up and left. Matt our install manager and Dan ordered the right brackets but kept us on the loop while we waited. 12/6 was IT! Install was smooth sailing, the guys were quick, working about 6-7 hours for 3 days. We were back and forth on the location of the power walls. We had to split 2 and 2 on either side of the window due to need of 10" clearance around the unit. Fully charged the batteries on the first day. Have been running 100% on solar on sunny days. Once approved, inspection completed per county the net meter was installed a few days after. We were able to switch on system via Tesla app. So stoked we are sun powered. At the height of summer our utility bill was 375/month. We have 2 fridges, a massive freezer, induction cooktop, electric oven and 3 kids and their gadgets. Hubby also running the house very cold day and night made our bill very HIGH. Now the sun powers everything, generating 11.5 kWh with potential peak up to 15 kWh in the summer. It charges the EV and batteries which powers the house while we sleep. We also sold excess power to FPL. So I'm a happy camper. Despite delays and issues such as broken tiles, electrical line nipped etc... we really can't complain. Our Sunrun team has been very responsive and quick to resolve problems. Dan has responded to our questions even when he was at the hospital on an emergency. That's top notch costumer service right there. This project was huge, we know things were bound to happen. Dan always kept us in the loop so we didn't really worry about anything. Every time something went wrong it was addressed quickly. Yes it took longer to finally have the system in place but it's up and running and we are loving the benefits. Since we signed up through Costco, we also received 4k back (10% of the total cost of materials).

We have no business with them and they put their stuff on my mother's property. I find that very illegal and rude! They saw my mom & I open front door looking at them with disgust yet they didn't care to say sorry or I'll move them off your property. The house in front of us hired them so why can't they put their stuff on THEIR PROPERTY (yet they have a lot of space on their property too!) They deserve NO stars actually!

Momentum Solar - This is the wire they left energized inside my wall. This is from the boss of the electrical company they used to install the system.

This is the second solar installation: #1 was at my own house ~15mos ago and all went very well…read more I recommended my son to go with the same company as my 'donation' to his moving to Florida. All was fine, the panels are installed, inspected (twice), now they have to be connected to FPL. And now, there is a hangup. To achieve this, a form has to be filled out, my son (and I for that matter) is stuck. We have spent over 3 solid days trying to call any and every phone number we have leaving voice mails and as of this writing, THERE HAS NOT BEEN ONE REPLY OR COMMUNICATION FROM MOMENTUM SOLAR. After spending all together over $55,000, I feel we deserve better.

The first time it wasn't producing power was due to the Enphase control panel which Enphase fixed within 2 days notice. I called today to get a tech out to my home to fix the AC wiring since the system is not producing any power. Long story short, was on the phone waiting for more than an hour. First I talked to enphase then Momentum solar... keep getting bounced back and forth. Finally spoke to a representative at momentum solar but then he told me it will take 14 days to get someone out to my home. Wow... one of the biggest mistakes to choose Momentum Solar just because they collaborated with my builder. Do not sign up for solar, if you choose to go with solar - DO NOT go with Momentum Solar.

My system went down over the…read moresummer while I was traveling, and frustrated with the long service intervals at my current installer and knowing I'm outside my warranty period, I reached out to find a local company that could help. I was so thankful I caught the first company's voicemail. That lead me to Christina, who offered to come out same day and saved me $750 in service costs for an inexpensive part. She fixed the issue very quickly and exceeded expectations taking the extra time to make sure I had confidence in the system and protective measures in place. I was delighted to find out she was the owner, because it was clear she takes personal pride in the work and truly cares about her customers. That kind of responsiveness, knowledge, and genuine customer service gave me something I hadn't found in a while: peace of mind! I'm incredibly grateful to find a service provider I can count on.

I talked to both owners, Christina and Jared, because they both came to my house at different times during the installation, and I'm an inquisitive and demanding customer (Warren Buffet was my neighbor back in Omaha) ... you make me happy, you're the best at what you do! I even offered to buy a percentage of the company, but they turned me down saying, "This is our life's work. We love what we do." They killed the competition. SunPro/ADT ($45k) was almost 50% higher than the price of Bay Area Solar ($31,776). A third less memorable competitor was 20% more and far less professional and friendly. Installation was fast and professional. I've been researching solar panels for 30 years so I knew what I was getting, and I got the best bang for the buck. No money down, $8261 Federal Tax Credit, $160 a month for 20 years, written guarantee that all my panels will produce 95% of what they produce the first day of installation, or Bay Area Solar will replace them for free. My bill with Duke has consistently been the minimum $35.96, with a few winter months around $60 due to more cloudy days and angle of the sun. My neighborhood was built in 1978, and my neighbors consistently pay $300, $400, and sometimes $500 a month.
