I had a horrible medical experience at this business. I went to Dr. Dutt for lip filler on February 10, 2025 at her Pgh Mills location. The filler was injected so poorly and too superficially, that ever since the procedure, I have experienced huge nodules and irregular lumps under my skin, horrendous asymmetry and migration of the lip filler that migrated into my nose. This experience has been very emotional and painful. I went to her once more, after the procedure, to ask her to dissolve my filler. She refused to dissolve the area I was concerned about and belittled me by telling me it's my fault because of my lip shape. She instead agreed to dissolve only a tiny amount into the huge nodule in the center of my upper lip. The injection was so painful and did nothing in regard to my concerns. Since then I needed two rounds of filler dissolver, (performed at another business) which has cost me $300. A third round is inevitable. I also have missed many days of work because of this. There has been NO ethical patient follow up on her end. After multiple attempts to reach her via phone and mail, she has yet to reach out to me. I am a paying patient! I had Lasik surgery last August 2024 and was talked into getting one eye done to see near and one done to see far in order to not need reading glasses. It did not work for the eye that was to see close, and the eye was non-functional blur for vision. Dutt then charged me to correct the eye she screwed up and made me wait until this past May 2025 for the correction. The eye is still a non-functional and blur. On top of her incompetence as a clinician, she is not a trustful person. Called me the wrong name on multiple occasions and canceled scheduled procedures the night before (9pm). I cannot believe that this person was able to complete medical school. She needs to stick to treating wrinkles and leave Lasik procedures to competent physicians. read more

There are so many reasons NOT to go to Dr. Dutt. First of all, let's start with how rude she is to her staff. She is borderline abusive. Screaming and insulting in front of clients. When we confronted her about it, she apologized and stated "sorry, I'm having a bad day, everyone has a bad day" she followed that with " try having staff you are paying well, and can't run a front desk" so basically took the blame off of herself and onto her staff 2nd. She reuses disposable items in her injection rooms. This is 100% NOT COOL! 3rd. She is using her phone, repeatedly texting while injecting clients. 4th.Her injections are erratical, and when you question her she will blame the results on your skin type, lack of elasticity, age, etc...upsell you if you want ultimate results, and then again state you need more "I never said it would be..." perfect! 5th. The strength of her Botox is terrible at best. Full movement of brow area 3 weeks after injection, including returned visit because 1st injections showed zero results. $500 paid. 6th large lumps in mouth area and cheek after filler injections to change frown line , that she stated "you NEED to fix that, doesn't that bother you?" $500 Total $1000 out of pocket for terrible results. 7th The work she is doing is creating terrible results that the clients have to live with. Got to the appointment early and they did get me in 10 minutes before my start time. But that was the highlight of the appointment. Before I went to the procedure room, I was asked to prep my own face by washing it with hibicleanse in a public bathroom. Doctor came into my procedure room with numbing gel on a tongue depressor, not wearing gloves and put the gel on my face. While waiting for the numbing gel to take effect, my door was open and there were at least four other patients walking in and out of other rooms, also with doors open and I could hear the conversations they were having. The patient files were all stored on a bookshelf in the hallway where anybody could access them. The doctor took me to a second room, where she cut up saran wrap to put over the numbing cream. She used scissors to cut the saran wrap and did not wear gloves. Then I went back to the other procedure room to wait again with the door open. I was asked to swap procedure rooms five times with other patients. It appeared like she did not have the supplies in each room that she needed for each person's procedure, so had us playing musical chairs with procedure rooms. After the appropriate time had passed for my numbing gel, I was asked again to use the public bathroom to wash the gel off of my face before the laser procedure. When I went into the room with the machines for the lasers, another patient, whom had been moved, had their purse and bag on the chair. There was a paper sheet covering the chair to lay in. She picked the sheet up and turned it over in front of me to "change it ". After the IPL, I was asked to rinse my face off with warm water in the public bathroom and then moved back to my waiting/procedure room, while another client was taken into the laser room. After that client left, I was taken into the room where the doctor again flipped over the sheet that the prior patient had just laid on. The doctor was clearly not washing her hands in between procedures and was not wearing gloves. After the fraxel, the doctor opened a cupboard, said I have some serum for you hold out your hand, then put two pumps of serum on my hand and told me I should spread it on my face. When I asked about aftercare, she told me I could wash my face tomorrow. She then handed me a gel ice pack they had clearly been used before, and my session was over. I feel very comfortable with putting these procedures in her hands. I have wonderful results in all the procedures but my favorite is the IPL laser and skin tightening laser. Dr. Dutt is great! I've been getting Botox for 10- years and worked at Medspa clinic administrating Botox in the past so I'm very picky who I let near my face. Dr. Dutt is an eye surgeon and has ALWAYS done a great job and is the only person I allow near my eyes with a needle! I've gone too three other clinics in the Pittsburgh area and will never go anywhere else. Having your Botox administered by a surgeon is an a huge benefit. I started going here for Botox in my forehead when I was 25! I had never had Botox before so I was not sure what to expect. I first purchased 20 units to correct my 11s and when I arrived they told me I had a horrible forehead and had to get 5-10 more units and paid almost the exact price of my Groupon to add the recommended extra units. They gave me 0 explanation of the area that would be treated, and I was in an out in less than 10 minutes from walking in the door. I had went back a second time and was once again talked into adding more Botox for triple the price and was told that I had horrible pores and should get additional services. Then the dr had noticed my lil injections from another place and told me they were ugly and they messed them up and to come back and she would fix them.... After 6 months my eye lids are completely drooping and I have new different lines on my forehead than before. After going to a different Dr for Botox and having a completely different experience I am disgusted that I ever trusted this place. My new dr marked my forehead, talked me through the process, and told me why the other work left my face in bad shape. It took an hour. Luna Vision and Med Spa's business practices are shady, borderline criminal if not so, and reeks of false advertising/lack of information. I originally booked an appointment for laser hair removal for my beard. The groupon had been advertised for $250 for 6 sessions of laser hair removal for the beard area. Note that this is "beard" area, and what they call beard area is simply one of three facial areas. What is referred to in common language as the "beard" is separated into three areas under their scheme: beard (chin area + cheeks), neck, and lip. On their website, there is no picture showing the distinction between these areas, just words saying the size of each area. Additionally, neck isn't even listed, but it's separate from beard and costs just as much! When I booked the appointment, the person scheduling did not clarify what the "beard" area entailed, so I went into my first appointment thinking that this would cover the full face. When I got there, I was wrong. The lady there finally clarified each of the 3 regions and their pricing. Keep in mind, this is NOT on their website as of 12/10/2018, and wasn't there when I booked the first appointment two months ago. The customers have no idea what they're getting into, and they're told WHEN THEY GET THERE how much more they're supposed to pay. The lady I had booked with understood the issues regarding their false advertising and lack of information, and offered to do full face for $250. This was our agreement and I was satisfied with it, as it matched other groupons for similar places at the time. However, my most recent appointment at 12/10/2018, I was informed that the lady had been fired and that our agreement was NOT going to go through. I was informed that if I wanted to CONTINUE the treatment I already started, I would have to pay for another medium and then a small area, for a total of $340 extra for 5 sessions. She of course tried to charge me the extra $140 for the appointment prior that I "didn't pay." Now, I was at a predicament. Because of how laser hair removal works, I couldn't afford to simply leave and take a refund because my progress would be lost since it would be a month before I could get another appointment. I had no choice but to pay for today's service lest I lose the previous month's results and my money along with it. I felt horribly swindled, but I didn't have a choice but to pay for it. So I paid for one session of the neck (which, once again, isn't listed on their website as an area), the lip, and what they call the "beard" area from my initial $250 deposit and then left. I did NOT want to do this laser session because the price of two medium areas ($500) and the price of a small ($170) is TWICE the price of other laser spas offer for the full face area. None of this is clarified on their website or when I booked the appointment, and they only notify you once you get there to undergo treatment. In my case, I had the additional pressure of losing my progress unless I went along with another horrendously overpriced treatment. I will be looking into taking action vs Luna Vision and Med Spa. I cannot recommend enough to never come here. At the very least, what they did was horribly immoral and wasted a lot of my money. read more

I'm disappointed. I had lasik about 2-3 years ago with Dr. Dutt. Bought the Groupon and she up sold me on monovision correction also so I wouldnt need readers...ever. I didn't need them to begin with, so now thinking about it, how do you correct something that isn't bad? She immediately said that I would possibly need a revision at some point. A family member had lasik about 15-20 years ago (not with Dr. Dutt) and has never needed a revision, so I figured I'd be good to go. Here I am now, far sighted wording is blurry (license plates, 50" TV, signs, etc) and reading my work computer has been difficult. I feel like I need glasses again. After reading all the other reviews, was something done so I would need a revision and she would make moe money off of me?! I'm not going back there. I've been here for Botox several times and it always turns out perfect. Very happy with my results from Dr Dutt.

i purchased 1 syringe juvederm in april for my lips on groupon. the woman doing the injections tried to talk me into other services by insulting me and talking about how i needed botox in my forehead (im 22). she also was insulting my skin and saying i had the worst pores. i showed her photos of what i wanted and she basically laughed and told me i couldnt do that because it "looked too fake". sorry if im paying money for lip filler i want it noticeable and i want it to be what I WANT. i decided to trust her judgement and she injected it literally into the center of my lip. she had no technique while injecting, she literally stabbed my lips and moved the filler around with the needle. it took literally no more than 5 minutes and she was so fucking rough and careless with where she placed the filler. she didnt massage the filler into my lips and i had done a lot of research before hand and knew this was EXTREMELY NECESSARY to get rid of lumps. she said "theres no lumps!" and like rushed me out. when i looked at my lips it looked like 75% of the filler was on one side of my lips. the swelling and bruising was INSANE literally looked like i had a disease for a few weeks. i moved to LA a few weeks after and the lumps were still fucking there even though everything i read said if they looked uneven it should look even after the swelling goes down. i knew in this moment the woman had fucked up. Id also like to note that my lips BARELY looked any bigger because it was unevenly distributed throughout my lips. about 1.5 months later i saved up money to go to the most amazing woman in LA and Prolase in Glendale (highly recommend) and the woman was so disturbed when i informed her about the technique used and she as an extreme professional recommended to NEVER go to this place. She managed to correct it by adding a lot to my other side and camouflaging the giant lump and trying to massage it out. her technique was applying it strategically to small areas and massaging it. THIS IS THE CORRECT WAY. if someone is not using small amounts at once they are doing it entirely wrong. it shouldnt take 5 minutes. luckily left with gorgeous lips and she did what i asked her to do and im so grateful i found the right place to correct it. ended up spending WAY more money to fix what this woman did. i dont recommend this place to anyone unless u want fucked up lips and to be humiliated by her insults. id also like to say EXTREME bruising and swelling is not normal ive had my lips done twice since then and have had only slight bruising bc they knew what they were doing. read more

Had my first eye appt here for contacts. I didn't even know this place existed until my insurance told me about it. The doctor, or "eye surgeon" as she corrected me, was extremely rude to her staff. At first I thought it was just the staff being unpleasant; but once I saw how she treated them, it isn't them at all. This eye surgeon, not only was rude to her staff in front of me and yelled at the one girl out in the open, but also charged me for the fitting of my contact lens when my insurance will pay for it. I am having my insurance look into this, since it is illegal. At the end of the appt I asked for my contact script and told her that I couldn't fathom giving her any kind of money since she is unpleasant with her staff. I told her I didn't want to give her business and would rather pay for the contacts out of pocket. She then proceeded to tell me that she didn't want my business. In which, I replied back, "why? You wanted it before I took it away. Oh, is it because I'm exercising my freedom of speech and speaking up about how you treat your staff? You should know better an an optometrist." Which she corrected me and said, "there must be some misunderstanding, I'm sorry. I'm an eye surgeon." Which I said, "it doesn't matter! Respect is respect, no matter what title you hold!" So then she says, "oh I bet you think you're making her feel real good now standing up for her and all." I said, "no. Actually, I think I have put her in an awkward position and for that I will apologize." And I did. I looked the girl right in the face and apologized. Because I did feel bad. But to call your staff, less than mediocre and that was unacceptable, is total crap! Don't do that. Don't do that to anyone, in front of people. Take someone behind a closed door and tell them. I had explained that to this "eye surgeon." This place is trash and the doctor is a dumpster herself. I feel bad for the staff. Take your business elsewhere, if you can. I had a procedure done on December 17 that was supposed to remove my "brown spots" on my face. It cost me an extra $30.00. My brown spots are still there and I have emailed the Brookline Luna Vision twice and asked what I paid for if I still have my spots and they have yet to even answer my emails. Their laser hair removal is a total rip off. I purchased 6 treatments. The first 2 times I went I was seen by a girl name Karla who was giving me extra areas at no charge. Apparently she was doing this for others and was fired for doing so. The third time there was a new girl, who did not seem to have any experience what so ever and I received terrible burns on the back of my legs. Apparently she quit or was fired because I never seen her after. The next two times I was seen by the front desk receptionist, who I'm sure was not qualified for the job either. I complained that I was not seeing the results I was expecting and was told to just buy more sessions. She even turned down the laser because she felt I was being burned but in reality it was probably so I would get less results and buy more sessions. During my 5th appointment, Nancy told me that I had one more session and even showed me my papers, which showed 5 sessions were used. I scheduled my 6th session for a month later. Today I received a phone call from Luna telling me I already used all 6 of my sessions and would need to purchase more if I want to keep my appointment. So I cancelled because I do not plan to sink any more money into their useless laser. The office is extremely filthy as well. Ice packs just get thrown back into the freezer after you've placed them on your body for other people to use. I started bringing my own zip lock bags to put the ice packs in so no one else's germs would touch my skin. This place needs shut down and is completely run but unqualified people. The doctor was NEVER in the building or town for that matter during my appointments. I guess you get what you pay for. Cheap does not equal quality service. I purchased restalyne injections via Groupon for my mother and spent over $500. She received it this past June and was talked into purchasing threading to make it last longer. Restalyne on its own is supposed to last at least six months. She was told with the threading it could last one to two years. One side of her lip began to droop only a month later. By September, there was an obvious difference. She went back in to get it fixed and they lied and said that it only lasts 4 months and told her to purchase a higher grade product to make it last! Instead that injected her with Botox to make the bigger side look smaller. That is the opposite of what we paid for. They also told her that it drooped due to her age. So on top of completely ripping her off, they insulted her. I would rather pay full price for better services from a reputable doctor, than to pay for another Groupon or either full price from these scam artists. I went to their location in Brookline for microdermabrasion and a chemical peel. The service I received for these services was wonderful and I am very happy with the results. HOWEVER! The girl that works at the front desk was hassling the customers telling them they should pay in cash so she could get a tip! She asked customers to leave the salon, walk blocks through the snow to get cash from an ATM! When she took me back to the exam room she kindly took my phone, wallet and coat and put them in the corner. What I didn't know was that she was stealing the cash from my wallet! When I walked into the salon, I checked to make sure I had at least $15 for a tip. When I was leaving an hour later, I suddenly only had $1. Are you kidding me?? I trusted that what she recommended was safe. Several years later and I am still searching for a qualified Dr. to be able to treat the lump that is now a permanent fixture under my eye without havingit surgically removed. My left eye is normal, but my right eye eyebrow and right side of my forehead is completely paralyzed. My right eyebrow has dropped and is straight across. My face looks completely lopsided. I can't do anything about it. I know she DID NOT inject the proper botox points. In my opinion, she was sloppy, rushed, and I am not even sure she gave me my purchased amount of units. My better judgement said not to let her do my crows feet which she offered for an extra charge. Thank god I didn't. She is an ophthalmologist that is cashing in on dermatology services because of the high profit margins. Go check out her office and look at the mess. She doesn't take any pride in the appearance of her office. I suspect she doesn't have any initiative to learn the correct process for botox injection. I know there is no way I am the only one. I'm 62 years old and have been to visit Dr Dutt twice, she and her staff are very friendly and will answer any questions you have. She is moving to a new location in a couple of weeks to the Mills Mall, this may address some of the negative remarks. I've received a laser treatment for age spots on my face that have been extremely successful. My own dermatologist was unable to correct with her laser in 6 treatments!! I've had my lips injected and the area around them done once with GREAT success. My skin feels so smooth and healthy looking, even the loose skin on my chin and neck are GONE. Paid an extra 300 that day because I only purchased 20 units and she said i needed 50??? Purchased groupon a year later and this time, I purchased 40 units still had to pay an extra 150. I spoke to 3 different receptionist who were unprofessional, rude, and lack any sense of customer service. There is no way I am going to go to spa for a somewhat invasive treatment, when I can't even receive good customer service on the phone. I cancelled the vouchers (over $200 worth) and I also decided to do a little homework to see if this was a common issue with the Spa. If its possible to give a -1 star, that would be my rating. This woman gave me radiesse and made me look like cat woman. She gave botox as well. The whole procedure was done in 30 seconds and I felt like she raped my face with a needle. In actuality, that is what she did. She seems to believe someones cheek bones dont extend past their eyes and fall to your nasial labial folds. The office was something you'd find in Tijuana. Dr. Dutt blocked me with novacain during our consult (while i decided what services to get from her) so I'd be charged before I could walk out. No place to hang your coat or purse in the treatment room, doc directed to place coat and purse on top of the garbage can which is inches away from the treatment chair. Positive experience from start to finish. I had maintenance done for botox and asked the Doctor for advice with new concerns. I am from Florida and in town for a month. I am so pleased with the results and overall cost that I will plan to be here for my next round of maintenance and will go to her again. Her placement of injections was perfect. I added 2 vials of Bellafill around my mouth to my treatment plan. It is worth the cost because it lasts longer. The only reason I am not giving her practice a higher rating is that the treatment space was small and confining. The office is making do with an existing space and perhaps treatment areas could be bigger leaving more room for patient comfort and for the doctor to have materials layed out more efficiently as to set up and working manner. But she was professional and helpful in suggesting what could be done to address my concerns. I will be back. read more

This was the WORST Botox I have ever gotten and like the other reviewers, I wish I had not tried to be cheap and stuck with my regular injector to the Skin Center where they actually KNOW what they are doing. My Botox is a MESS, my brows are lopsided, my eyelids are hooded and don't even get me started on the debacle of a filler I received. It's bumpy and literally painful to touch. Recently purchased the Botox Groupon with Luna Vision - I went with the 40 unit option and was using this for my 11s and forehead. I explained to Dr. Dutt what I was looking for and she also took the time to answer all my questions as well as prepared me for the procedure so I understood what to expect during and after. We also discussed other packages her office had to offer and not one time did I feel she was trying to push a sale on me or offend my physical appearance. I'm writing this review because prior to my appointment I had read several reviews that were less than appealing and I want to make sure Dr. Dutt gets credit where credit is due, For me I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at Luna Vision and Dr. Dutt, The results are exactly what I was looking for and I plan to continue seeing her when it's time for touch ups. For anyone considering Botox for the first time I highly recommend that you do your research. Know what you're doing, learn the pros and cons. I'm very surprised to read some of the unpleasant reviews on here. I've gone to see Dr. Dutt multiple times, throughout the years, for a number of services, including Botox injections and also Derma Fillers. Each time I've had nothing but positive experiences. Dr. Dutt and her staff make you feel extremely comfortable and at ease. After my first visit with Dr. Dutt she made me feel as though I had been a patient of hers for years. She's extremely easy to talk to and definitely puts you at ease. My Botox and Derma Fillers looked just as beautiful with her as they did with any other high end location. In fact, the only difference I have found is that Dr. Dutt actually numbs your face THREE times (as opposed to only once) before she injects you. . 1 time with a (delicious smelling) topical solution, 1 time with a cool gel pack and the 3rd time with a numbing needle. The last place I went to , which I won't name-names, had me hold a frozen roller to my face for 10 mins and then proceeded to inject my entire face while NOT numb! I read a comment somewhere on here about her being an Optometrist, implying that because she is an Optometrist she wouldn't know how to properly do the services offered and they felt as though she was just trying to "cash in" on the high demand of injections,etc. In my opinion, why wouldn't you want an Optometrist being the person giving you the injections? They specialize in the eye area which is......on your face (obviously).. which means she would be highly educated in the many layers of the skin, nerves, muscles and many other intricate parts that make up our faces. I went to cosmetology school and even I had to be educated on all of this in order to do facials and many other skin services! I highly doubt she wouldn't know which location to inject in the face considering she's an Optometrist and because of this she would know where to inject better than anyone. Most who do these procedures are either Nurse Practitioners..... and Dr.Dutt. While Nurse Practitioners are highly educated on the makeup of the human body their education does not focus solely on one specific area of the body. There for they are not specialists in one area. Optometrists are (and it just so happens to be on the one area I get my injections.) My face! She's very experienced, so don't question or worry about that for one moment! I can't speak for the people who've had bad reviews on here, but what I can say is that these procedures work differently on everyone, AND they can only do so much to a persons face. Anyone who's reading the reviews on here, please don't go by a couple of bad reviews to make your decision. I'm not surprised that there are complaints about the Brookline office because it is terribly lacking and had I not known lots about what I was expecting I probably would have walked out. She is only there 2 times per month and it was convenient for me. HOWEVER, I'm very surprised by these review of Dr Dutt. I've been to 2 other places for cosmetic work and both of them look like a 5 star hotel...AND THE COST REFLECTS IT! Both of them had PAs performing the procedures and not doctors. The one in Oakland (and I won't mention names) I had to go back 3 times and honestly, I couldn't believe how terrible the results were. I could not wait for it to wear off!!! Dr Dutt actually performs the work herself and she knew EXACTLY what to do! I had told her I was concerned about bruising and she assured me that there wouldn't be any...and she was absolutly correct! If you would like to receive treatment in the dirty back room of a dilapidated facility from extremely unprofessional "doctor," go to Luna Vision! I waited over an hour past my appointment time to be rushed into the back room where I waited another 45 minutes while Dr. Dutt yelled at a male staff member. When I was finally seen, Dr. Dutt sloppily injected me with bad botox. After she berated her staff in front of me and other customers, she was rude with me. She talked me into purchasing more product to inject into my crows feet. The area around my eyes ended up being dry, red, and inflamed for 3 months following the injection. I have never before taken the time to write a review, however my experience with Dr. Dutt was horrible that it needed to be noted. read more

Wow I guess I'm the only one with a good experience. I didn't get Botox but purchased Groupon for belllafill after seeing the before/after photo. Anyway, she injected me and it was painless after the numbing and my results were good. The Dr was nice and showed me what she was injecting before she even touched me. No bruising or complications. The only thing I didn't like was they had so many people back to back for appointments it was uncomfortable and lacked privacy. I had numbing cream on my face while three other people were watching me. Regardless, I'm not sure about getting the botox after reading the reviews but I definitely had a good experience with the filler. read more
