I had wrinkles on my middle-aged forehead, so in June 2025, I made an appointment for a consultation with Melissa to discuss getting a neurotoxin for the first time. I appreciated that she had evening appointments available. We discussed Botox and Xeomin, their rare side effects, their expected results, and their prices. I chose to receive Xeomin, which relaxes the facial muscles similarly to Botox but is purified of proteins and costs less.
In that same appointment, Melissa injected 31 units of Xeomin into my forehead and between my eyes. The needle hurt only slightly. She used a Patient Rewards phone app to charge my credit card. She applied a coupon discount, but she charged me for 36 units rather than 31 units. Later, she gave me a refund for the extra 5 units.
Two weeks later, I had a follow-up appointment. When I lifted my eyebrows, I no longer had three rows of wrinkles across my forehead. Instead, I had just one much-smaller wrinkle above one eyebrow and more movement in my outer eyebrows compared to my inner and middle eyebrows. For many weeks my forehead still looked very good.
Because of a vacation, a head cold, and my body's response to the first administration of Xeomin, I made my next appointment for October 2025. Melissa again injected 31 units of Xeomin into my forehead. After a $50 discount and a credit-card convenience fee, my total price was $361.82. Since then over a month has passed, and I feel happy that I see no wrinkles but am able to have natural facial expressions such as raising my eyebrows.
