The food was spectacular! I had the torta and the chicken has such great flavor! My friend had the quesadilla which she enjoyed. The salsa flight was fun the waitress wasn't kidding when she said the orange one was hot! If I could suggest a recommendation is something with the salsa names underneath or on the salsa dish. Also, I like ice with my water, I have noticed many restaurants going without ice. Lastly, can I have a paper menu? The QR code thing to me is silly. Our phones are gross, we eat at a table and hope to engage with the parties at the table however phone use is encouraged by these QR menus. Either way the meal was great! read more

Finally got over to try Luna's. It was fairly busy on a Thirsday night, but we were seated in the patio right away. The patio is screened and has nice heaters in the ceiling. We were quite comfortable. Service was quick and friendly. Pet peeve: I don't like to trend of having to scan a QR code for the menu. Oh well. Also note, they only take credit and debit cards, so don't plan on paying cash. A couple of shared the Margarita flight. It was good. I liked the classic best, The prickly pear tasted more like hibiscus to us. Three of us shared to chips and salsa. We liked the verde sauce best. The salsa was decent. The chips were good, definitely homemade and fried. One nit pick-they should have been salted a bit more. For the tacos we had the chicken, the carne asada, and the pork. They were all good, We felt the flavor on the carne asada was best, but the pork texture and flavor was superb. The chicke was good, but we all liked the others better. Also appreciated the picled vegetables and grilled onions that come with. Especially like that they provided a lime wedge for every taco. All in all, we enjoyed it and plan to return. read more

When coming to Ada, Luna is the common place for my coworkers to meet up to have some good eats and drinks. They are a great place to have monthly meetups as well. Coming from California, I've always got to have some chips and guac and Luna makes a good one. Pair that with a flight of margaritas and you are golden. Our whole family LOVES Luna's! The chips and salsa/guac flights are amazing with the fresh made chips. The guac is always delicious...it's my favorite place for guac. The tacos are amazing! The al pastor is my fav. The mix of pineapple and pork is perfect! The sweet potato and black bean is also really good! I love the margarita flights. I wish they would bring back the pineapple ones! That and the mango are my fav! The service is also normally always great! I don't think I've had a bad experience with the staff there. My one negative is the noise level. There is not much they can do about it but it gets really loud in there. When it's nice out we choose to sit outside in the patio area. read more

We love Luna/ last week was not our fave, so we were worried that things were going south. We were wrong. Things were better that ever. I asked the server, who was awesome, for a gluten free notion besides the tacos. She told me she has been ordering the chicken fluatas. They weee so flavorful, a nice warm heat. My husband got the carna asada taco that he loved. My friend got the soup with the avocado added, recommended by the server. Such great flavor. Excited to have another Luna location in Grand Rapids and closer to us in Ada! We have stopped in for a few dinners and our latest experience was ordering a huge takeout order for our family Christmas meal! We ordered 2 Family Meals that each feed 6 people. We had 6 adults and 3 kids but had enough food that lasted us for a week. We ended up having more people over the next day and still couldn't finish it all. We ordered a variety of proteins, pickled veggies (SPICY!), elote, and the meals included a ton of sides. They also gave us some orders of Chicken Flautas even though we didn't order them, which was great for the kids. Overall, our experience ordering online and picking it up went great. We scheduled a time for the order and they text you when your order will be ready in 10min. The timing worked perfectly and everything was correct. Definitely not your "white people taco night". First time visiting. Margarita's were incredible. The flight is A LOT but a great way to try multiple flavors. We went simple and just got multiple different protein tacos, all were awesome. Our favorite was the chorizo, not super greasy like most mexican joints. Salsa- Diablo sauce is fire- literally and in the way the cool kids use the word. The most flavorful of the three was the verde salsa but all were significantly better than other options in west michigan. I would give it 5 stars based on the food, service, and cost. We've been to this Luna plenty of times but not recently. When we arrived for dinner last night, we knew we were in for some great food. When we ordered chips and queso as an appetizer (our all time favorite), our server said they weren't serving queso anymore. We asked whether that was just temporary and were told that they weren't serving it anymore because someone said it wasn't spicy enough. Didn't have enough flavor. What? It was delicious! I find it interesting that the restaurant decided to drop an item because one person didn't like it. Needless to say, we were really disappointed. Really like the ambiance of the place. We originally made reservations for a time but wanted to be there much earlier. We decided to show up and only had to wait about 45mins as we had a large group. Not much of a wait for eveyone else in smaller parties. Drinks: love the flight of margaritas. Eveyone in our party ended up getting a flight as it was definitely more cost effective. The writing in the menue is a bit grammatically incorrect as it places Mango and hibiscus together and made eveyone think it was one flavor when in fact it was two flavors. When we orders our waitress said something to me but not the next people who arrived who also felt it was a mixed flavor they were going to be getting. The Mango has a a salt rim that I would normally pair with a spicy margarita. Not something sweet but it worked. The appetizers we ordered: flight of salas and added 2 guacamole for our party of 6. All were good and had a variety of heats for eveyone. I personally don't like heat so I stuck with that mild salsa. Ellotte: This was bit underwhelming. It only had a dollop of the cream sauce on top of some corn. I would like to have seen it mixed in or a much bigger scoop as I didn't order just corn, The tacos were good. First time visitor. Server said they are known for their margaritas and tacos. Ok, ordered a margarita and appetizer, wife ordered a beer. We have ordered the family meal for takeout 3 times in past two weeks. You get a lot for $55. The food is authentic Mexican. As such, it does not feature tons of cheese. The taco fixings include soft corn tortillas, with onions, cilantro and a choice of two meats and generous portions of refried beans and rice. The delicious tortilla chips and salsas are house made. Went to Luna in Ada for a birthday dinner with my out of town, senior-aged parents and our two kids, and the experience was fantastic. The staff was very accommodating to all the age groups in our party, and they were super nice to our young children. Our server, Courtney, was so patient and attentive to us. She treated every age group in our party with courtesy and kindness and took her time to check on us, despite being extremely busy. Thanks for making the night extra special, Courtney!!! And the food was spectacular. The family taco platter was more than enough food for my kids and me (with leftovers, so we probably could have included my wife as well - but I was nervous I wouldn't get enough tacos...) and the shrimp entree that my mom got was PERFECTLY cooked. Also loved the chips and salsa and the chicken flautas appetizers (two per order on the flautas, so order more than 1 for larger parties). I would highly recommend this restaurant for all ages, but perhaps best suited for an after work hang, date night, or adult group outing. It's a lively atmosphere, so if bringing kids, I would suggest earlier dining hours. While it's not necessarily a restaurant geared toward kids or seniors, the staff did not make them feel unwelcome or as an inconvenience, which I greatly appreciated. A favorite and consistent go-to. If you have any gluten allergies this is a great place to go - they can easily accommodate that and offer a wide range of tasty options. I've been to this spot 4 times over the last year. The staff is alway great. The tacos were okay, nothing special. The real issue is they are providing a menu that says one price and charging you a different price when you receive the check. I spoke with the bartender and she proceeded to tell me the owners have changed the price on multiple items without changing the menu. Up charge for steak tacos, increasing the price of certain wines, dinner items increased. In addition, they are cashless, which I didn't find out until I was paying the bill. Again, I've paid cash at this location previously..... She told me she would take the cash but no change. Mind you, there is no sign, no indication on the menu or website about being cashless. Apparently all the managers have quit and the owners could give two sh*ts about this place. The owners also deduct taxes against their cash tips. Just because your in a cool location and have a nice young staff doesn't mean you can take advantage of them or your customers. Do better, it's not that hard. read more

We had a group of 7 and Grace did an amazing job of taking care of us! The margaritas were good as was the flight of salsa and the queso dip. The chips were amazing and had the right amount of salt. I had the pork quesadillas and those were delicious; my only issue was they barely give you any sour cream to go with it so I had to request more. For the ambiance; it's decorated really cool. The biggest issue was the noise level! It was excessive the moment I walked in; I couldn't even hear everyone at our table and felt like we had to yell, which adds to the problem. They do need to work with someone to help with the acoustics. The 4 star review only has to do with the fact you can't have a decent conversation in there, and that's a pretty important part of dining out at a place that isn't a bar. read more

We have been to the downtown Grand Rapids location many times and have always had a positive experience. I would say the food and service was actually even better at the Ada location and it's closer to our house. We were seated immediately at our reservation time. read more
