They have clothing from two of my favorite brands, Joie and Vince, among others. What is really great is their selection. They had items I wanted from Nordstrom that had sold out months ago. On top of that they were having a 40% sale. People working there were very sweet and friendly! Can't wait to go back when I need some new things.

We stopped at the public market on our last day and walked by this store. The jacket in the window piece attracted me in. I walk in the store and was greeted by this woman but that is as far as it went. She (employee or owner) was too busy on her iPad While I was browsing the store to attend to me. I was undecided between two beautiful pieces and my husband was waiting outside with our fur baby. I come back in and she asks me "can I help you?" I stated that I'm in love with two pieces. She proceeded, to play with her iPad and didn't bother to follow through with her offer. Lady, talk to me! I then asked if she has a website prepared to make my purchase online only bc we are at our limit with our luggage, I am traveling and fly out tomorrow to WY to continue our road trip and we need to becareful to not carry more than the necessary. She abruptly replied, "no, we do not." Then I thought well let me take a picture and give my business elsewhere and she said, they don't allow pics of their merchandise and then told me GOODBYE! Hahah hahahhaha I was in shock! I didn't really tell her what I wanted to tell her. What irritated me about this experience is that for the first time in a very long time someone judged me from the moment I walked in the store. Whao! When I encounter people who make me feel lesser than "equal", I don't argue. My equality it is not up for debate, it is an implicit truth!

I happened to be on a walk today and since it was in my path, I decided to step in. As I walked in, there were three ladies chatting, one or more that worked there, that glared at me and didn't ask if I had any questions and continued their conversation. I don't want to presume what was going through their heads, but judging by the looks I received, I can't be for certain. They had no idea why I was in there. I could've been there to buy something for a friend, in my case, thinking that there might be some men's clothes there, etc. is disappointing that West Seattle small business seems to have forgotten traditional business practices of welcoming, whoever walks through their door. Or in this case, they know and they just don't care.

The first time they managed to sell a few items and were supposed to give the rest back. When i noticed a Ralph Lauren cashmere cardigan was missing they said "oh it was pulled". What does it mean? It means "there was a snag when we prepared it so we threw it away" This was a cardigan worn once and was in near perfect condition ... Megan said very impatiently: "Read your contract and it is perfect normal for us to pull an item." Now I am here and reading reviews left by others I realize this is something they do on a regular basis!!!!! Why I work with them a second time? I do not know but regret it. This time I am two days late in picking up my items and they "donated" everything including a pair of $200 Rags and Bones jeans in great condition. Two days late and there was an Eastern Sunday and a Monday during which their shop was closed. But I do not believe there happened to be "an annual donation" during those two days and those Rags and Bones jeans "went to that donation". You can tell when people lie. I am afraid these are not honest people. Be cautious.

The home decor selection is what really drew me in. Their candle selection I really enjoyed as the primary draw on the home decor front. And of course candy... what would I do without that? I was visiting for a special Yelp event and this place was recommended as a must to visit and they were so very right. As we pulled up in the parking lot, the first thing I saw was the only thing I wanted- a place to sit in the sun and this place has a long patio with two different areas to sit and they are gorgeous. One side had red Adirondack chairs all facing out for a nice view of Little Bird Garden across the way. The other had padded outdoor seating where you could sit and enjoy the sun. So ladies, if your hubbies aren't into shopping, they can hang out on the patio and chill on the patio. Inside there are fun little nooks. This place lives up to the "country store" name because they sell bulbs for flowers, candles, souvenirs and home design items. They also have men and women's clothing and there's a section for old time candy and fun kitchen items. It reminded me of one of those old mercantile shops you see in westerns or movies from the 40s and 50s where they have a little bit of everything and what they didn't have, they could order if you picked out what you want from the Sears Roebuck catalogue. So utterly charming. This place will give you the cozy feels, so you really should check it out!
