The home decor selection is what really drew me in. Their candle selection I really enjoyed as the primary draw on the home decor front. And of course candy... what would I do without that? They had some great caramels here as well. The f=general vibe with this place is country chic so that is what to pick up from when going here. I was visiting for a special Yelp event and this place was recommended as a must to visit and they were so very right. As we pulled up in the parking lot, the first thing I saw was the only thing I wanted- a place to sit in the sun and this place has a long patio with two different areas to sit and they are gorgeous. One side had red Adirondack chairs all facing out for a nice view of Little Bird Garden across the way. The other had padded outdoor seating where you could sit and enjoy the sun. So ladies, if your hubbies aren't into shopping, they can hang out on the patio and chill on the patio. Inside there are fun little nooks. This place lives up to the "country store" name because they sell bulbs for flowers, candles, souvenirs and home design items. They also have men and women's clothing and there's a section for old time candy and fun kitchen items. It reminded me of one of those old mercantile shops you see in westerns or movies from the 40s and 50s where they have a little bit of everything and what they didn't have, they could order if you picked out what you want from the Sears Roebuck catalogue. So utterly charming. This place will give you the cozy feels, so you really should check it out!

I didn't think we would find one, but we found a very nice pillow and a GROOVY pillow case. It was like a wish came true. We also went back the next day and found MORE stuff. As if that wasn't enough, we went back the next day and found even more treasures. I will say that each time we went back, it was like going to a brand new store. In addition, all the staff was super friendly, fast and efficient. By the 3rd time we came in, we felt like seasoned regular customers. This is a must-stop destination whenever you go to the Island. Problem is, I purchased this in May while we were here -- and found out 7-8 weeks later, when the t-shirt was returned, that it was the wrong size: the receipt of the purchase was in Arizona. The staff was unable to provide the correct size in less than 2 weeks, and I would be back in Arizona by then. I was willing just to give the t-shirt back to them, as it has no use or purpose for me. They allowed for an exchange, which was very nice of them: I wouldn't blame them if they said "No receipt, no refund exchange" -- and they'd be well within their rights to do so. Thank you!

But I will fix it now. We come here mainly for their spices, soaps and candles. On my last trip there I got their soap which was Spruce & Cinnamon. I finally broke it out and love it! The fragrance of the soap matches up with the description quite well and is the soap itself is a good quality. But that shouldn't be a surprise... this botique is good quality all the way around! There is clothing here as well but it's mainly for the ladies so we don't explore much there but we have bought a number of other things on our visits here to Vashon!

Put your money local for it actually helps somebody that you know and makes a difference in their life that day. I personally bought $37 worth of stuff which was probably like 7 items and some of those were brand new with tags on them and brand name, I got a purse. I can't say enough of what an experience it was to spend an hour wandering around his lovely store. The world need places like this to honor the past & the present!
