The crawl space under my house is about 16 inches tall which means it's the equivalent of diving head first into a tunnel in the 'Nam. I called over 12 companies before I found a company that would even come and look to see why my floor furnace wouldn't turn on in the middle of winter. Now it doesn't snow here but it does get pretty cold and not having the main source of heat for my house was a significant problem. John showed up, was friendly, jovial, and incredibly well informed as to my very esoteric and antique unit. This was perhaps six years ago. He solved the problem that no one else wanted to even look into. I've moved three times since then, but kept that house, and this week when the heat went out luckily, I had kept his business card on my multiple refrigerators over the years. He came out not once, not twice, not three times, but four times spending hours pouring over the same antique furnace, working around my tenants meetings and scheduling, and luckily got the heat up and running again. He knew where to get parts that were unavailable in Sacramento, had them overnighted from Lake Tahoe where this sort of antique is the norm rather than the exception, and when we ultimately did solve the problem, didn't charge me for the final part we were looking at possibly installing. I could not recommend a service contractor more highly. His google reviews speak for themselves, even if I had to create a yelp page for him. read more
