But it did not look very busy. I was seated pretty quickly, and that's where it went downhill. I ordered the Lechon and pork eggrolls. 10 minutes later my waitress informed me that there were no more pork eggrolls. So I chose not to get a substitute and just continue with my entrée. About every five minutes, my waitress came by and apologized for the wait and told me the food would be out soon. 42 minutes after I ordered food, it finally arrived. The food was very good and had amazing flavor. I just can't get over waiting 42 minutes for a plate of food. I hope their service will pick up and they can be a little bit quicker in the future.

The serving size was a bit small for the price. The chicken was overcooked, and the rice was just rice with some onions. It was relatively simple; there was no unique or impressive flavor. The waitress was nice, and made sure to check on me often. The restaurant itself is neat, clean, and inviting. I'll have to go back when I'm not on a budget, and order something fancier, I guess. I do feel like the food should be good no matter what, though. Lastly, they will nickel and dime you if you pay with card--you know, like most people do in the Big 26. The food was $12.99 before Searcy's astronomically high tax, and then they upcharged me over 50 cents for paying with card. It just doesn't sit well with me. I paid a premium, got some okay food, and then got upcharged again. It makes me sound cheap, I know, but I wanted something nice instead of just fast food.

However, even though this is way smaller, it offers a lot of specific Filipino and Taiwanese gems that Mr. Chen's doesn't. I walked in hoping to find the butterfly brand ube extract (which they didn't have), but I ended up walking out with an armload of things I didn't know I needed - ube coconut ice cream ($10.99 for a gallon, SO GOOD OMG), a Filipino vinegar that my friend says goes with everything, frozen kalamansi, the Taiwanese boba ice cream (literally sold out in grocery stores in NYC and LA because they're that popular and seriously magical), Taiwanese boba pineapple cakes, and longanissa. The lady at the cashier is also super sweet and nice; after she noticed I picked up the boba ice cream, she asked if I liked pineapple and offered me a free pineapple cake (and also to my friends who didn't buy much). I immediately bought a whole box LOL. The store is small and sparse, but it does have quality items; don't miss it in your Asian grocery shopping in Little Rock :) Apparently the ube pan (bread) is also amazing, but it was sold out (duh).

They have a good variety of food for sale. Furthermore, I only had a 100 dollar bill, and 4 ones,…read moreand my purchase rang up to $4.17 (too small for credit card usage). The lady said that I didn't need to pay the 17 cents, but nevertheless I was able to run out to the car, and get the extra change.
