I have been coming to Olea for about 6 months now & have been working with Jamie. She is AMAZING. Our first couple sessions consisted of her finding stretches and other movements that tend to my needs specifically. Once we were able to locate where the issues were stemming from, I noticed immediate improvement! Jamie is very understanding and extremely patient, as when I first came in to Olea I felt as if I have tried everything else & this was my last hope. Now I can move freely again! I am so grateful to Jamie and the rest of the Olea community!

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Olea yet!…read more My fiancee found Olea for me. I tweaked my shoulder pretty severely the night before a big performance and as the amazing person that he is, he googled Olea and booked an appt for me that night with the session being immediately the morning after. Already, 5 stars for being able to accommodate me within less than 12 hours and he was able to pre-pay them as well! My therapist, Katie, worked with me to fix me and relieve my pain temporarily but the best part was that she gave me exercises and showed me how to relieve pain on my own. That was gold! She was so. freaking. good that immediately after I started seeing her once a month for close to 6 months. During this time she really took the time to assess me properly, work on specific areas and cater my sessions to me + my body. Every session was phenomenal and I really learned a lot. Now I go back here and there. I can go back to get some real bodywork done or I can go back when I just feel like I need a zen, relaxing massage. I love that I can get whatever type of massage that I need in that moment. This is truly a gem in Charlotte! Definitely love the staff and the receptionist. I won't see anyone else. I've gotten massages on various vacations (resorts, cruises, etc) and it's an on-going joke between my fiancee and I now: He'll ask, "Is it Olea-good?" and I always respond, "Nope." because he knows how much I rave about them

The lights were dim, there was a sound machine on and music playing. The bed was also heated which was a really nice touch. Since I'm pregnant, she had me lay on my side hugging a body pillow, then I switched sides. She spent time massaging my back, butt, neck, arms, legs, hands, feet and toes. She was gentle, I'm assuming since I'm pregnant and it was very relaxing. She also gave me a bottle of water on the way out. It lasted exactly an hour.

I've seen her amount 5 times and each time has been an amazing experience. The massages themselves are very relaxing. She uses just the right amount of pressure and those hot stones take it to another level. She uses aromatherapy (you can choose your own scents) which help set the tone to relax. As far as the Reiki and readings I always leave feeling uplifted and aligned with purpose. I know its not for everyone but I never regret doing them. On my last visit she was so dedicated to helping me figure out what my spirit guides were trying to say we went over time but she didn't rush any part of my service. She let it flow how it was supposed to. When she moved away I was disheartened but each time she came back to the DMV for her pop ups I made sure to schedule an appointment. I'm so glad she's back in this area and I look forward to getting my sessions on a more consistent basis

Communication and mutual trust is crucial in a therapeutic relationship. David likes to use a 1-10 pressure scale which I have found useful. As he is applying pressure to a specific muscle or knot he might say "take me to a six", for example, as he increases the pressure. Applying the right amount of pressure is important as injures can occur if the wrong amount of force is used. I've experienced this first hand so I like the system in place here. David also introduced me to red light therapy which is an interesting and burgeoning field of science. I've had good results with what he has applied.
