I became uncomfortable when she would stop periodically, ask me a question and then stare at me until I answered. She was asking me personal questions about my beliefs and my thoughts toward the pandemic, something I was not expecting at a wax appointment. She was slandering the education system, shared her disdain for the PM, and her interest in the "dark web". I have been getting sugared for 5 years, and never had a more painful experience, she did not apply pressure when removing certain sections of hair, and she did not remember to give me a take home skin routine before I left. The appointment was over 45 mins, and she should have used more sugar than she did. She told me I was getting sweaty so she had to get new sugar, when really she should have changed it already, and I was sweating because I was in so much pain! I booked two appointments one for me and for a friend, she called my friend and cancelled because the other employee had major allergies and couldn't come into work. We drove from out of town, my friend was given 30 minutes notice before her appointment cancellation. Unprofessional, and insensitive.

Our conversations are always insightful, I appreciate that she see's things in a different light. To be frank with you, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Just because you don't share the same view, doesn't make it appropriate to go online and make some pretty serious claims, that attack her character. I cannot personally imagine her doing any of the things that you described in the 1st paragraph. Maybe she's just not your cup of tea. She is the best Body Sugaring Service I have ever had. Gentle, thorough I didn't even feel the paste being applied. Your comment about allergies was totally unrealistic. Would you really want a service provider working over you sneezing and having cold like symptoms...? I have seen first hand the extent to which they suffer from allergic reactions and it's in the clients best interest to not perform the service when this occurs. Additionally, you are not a certified practitioner so you don't have the educational background to determine when the "paste needs to be thrown out" and "she could have used more sugar then she did." Also, making other claims about their technique. If in fact, you were sweaty like you noted then their technique was a professional practice? I totally agree with Shivani's review, Kelowna is fortunate to have such a great Body Sugaring local business! They will always be my go-to place for Sugaring.

I will not go back as I don't trust her and what the prices will be next time I go in.

I wanted Juvederm lip fillers and this would be my first time so yes, I was nervous/excited and my gut was in a knot. Kim was my injector and she was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. It was a surreal experience and the hours leading up seemed to drag by but once I got in there, things moved nicely and before I knew it we were done. We used 1 syringe on my lips and Kim did an amazing job! I want my lips to stay exactly this way but I understand that they may be a bit swollen. My biggest fears were that a) I wouldn't see a change and would therefore have just wasted 500(or so) bucks or b) have them look awful. So I was soo relieved and excited at the end result when I looked in the mirror and they looked awesome(you could say it was a fun and pleasant shock). My first contact with Okanagan Skin Care Centre was over email, and then booking an appointment with email as well. This is an awesome practice to have for businesses looking to increase traffic or business. Now when I got there, I told the Nurse I wasn't interested in any sort of facial scrubs as they all seem to be like proactive (this is an awesome product, pay us). The nurse agree'd that proactive was overpriced and overvalued for what it actually did - this then segued into the nurses pitch for their own line of facial scrubs, toners, anti-aging, and revitalizing products. When talking to a medical professional, I take them at face value as I trust the education they have. DO NOT TRUST THE PEOPLE HERE, THE NURSES ARE SALES PEOPLE. I was sold a $300 package, which was originally $600-700 but a few products taken away ($60 lotion, really?) to make it cheaper. They tried selling me a tube the size of 2 fingers that cost $160 - I couldn't even listen to what it did as I was hemorrhaging through my wallet at this point. Long story short, someone I thought I could trust ripped me off. I now have 3 bottles of face cleaner that don't come close to what the nurse told me they would do. I've had better success going to a general MD and asking for a prescription of whatever comes to their head first. At least it's covered by health care, proven to work and won't make me feel like I've had money taken from me without anything to show for it. I guess $300 is the price I pay to find out there are untrustworthy people in Health Care. Kimberly - you sold me snake oil with a smile on your face and I'll never forget it.
