Ive been a client of Dakotas for almost 6 months now and I can't recommend her enough. I have had hair extensions for a huge part of my life and have been a stylist myself since 2016. It's so easy to look right over your shoulder and find someone who does extensions in today's world. But has this stylist truly invested their time, energy, and money into learning how to properly and safely provide that service?! Do you feel confident that when you get your extensions removed that the health and integrity of your hair will be EVEN BETTER than it was before your install? Do you feel confident in your seamless blend from how your extensions were installed and how the extensions were cut?! Do you feel like your stylist is actually hearing and listening to YOUR goals and dreams for your hair? Those are just a few things I always had to worry about when I previously had extensions installed, and I was never happy or satisfied with my results or the health of my hair. Extensions are a luxury service and I 100% knew that when I spoke with Dakota for the first time that she could accomplish any dream I had with my hair. But even if something I wanted wasn't attainable, she would be honest and realistic and let me know something that we could do to make it even better. After my first appointment with Dakota I was even more in love with her and her work and I can't fathom ever seeing anyone else. Not only has she kept the health of my hair in tact, she has made my hair dreams come true. I have never loved my hair more than I do now. I have never been more obsessed with how she cuts extensions and matter in fact, the last time I was sitting in her chair I made the comment "no one can convince me that these extensions aren't my real hair. Extensions WHERE" lol. Dakota has gone above and beyond to make sure that I was happy before getting out of her chair. She LISTENS to what I want. She LISTENS to concerns I have. She makes me feel safe in her space that I can communicate anything and I feel confident that it's heard. Her communication is top notch and that's another reason I know I can sit in her chair and when I leave my hair is better than I could have dreamed. My extension journey hasn't been the easiest, and I've definitely given Dakota a run for her money when it's came to me being in her chair. But never once has she made me feel like I'm an inconvenience or bother to her time, instead she has opened up her time to fix things and come up with a plan to make sure all of my goals can be accomplished and I leave happier than when I came in. She invests so much into each and every single client of hers, SHE CARES! Dakota is magic. Being a client of Dakota's is a luxury, but it's the best investment I have ever made. She has put her own blood, sweat, and tears into building her career and worked her ass off to master the extension world. DONT GO TO DAKOTA WILSON @LUMINARY LOOKS The first visits went well. We did extentention. she installed 5 bundles of hair. But then our reinstallation/move up. She only put 2 back in, cut my appointment by an hour, had her next client waiting while she was finishing up my hair. I felt so rushed. And when I told her that same day I hated my hair and if we could talk about fixing it. She told me to make a whole new appointment. I just paid her $360.00 for half the work!!!! And for her not to even talk about fixing it at even a lower cost. im baffled, The WORST customers service I've ever had with a stylist. read more

Dakota has been doing my hair for about a year now. She does an excellent job and is passionate about everything related to style. She is the only stylist I use now because of the precision and care she takes in making sure that my hair is perfectly cut and looks professional. She is also very accommodating with my lack of pre-planning. For my latest appointment she wasn't working that day when I called. She dropped everything and met me at her studio with 15 minutes! I can't tell you how happy I am with my results from the wonderful Dakota. She did a full set of lash extensions on me. I was very worried about how it would turn out (not because of Dakotas skill but a bad experience with someone else before) I can't even feel them.
