Good food, friendly service, respectable spirits. Would definitely return! We sat at the bar and shared an app and meal along with some drinks. We didn't buy any bottles but really enjoyed the food.

My husband and I have been here twice already and came back with friends. The food, drinks, and service are each absolutely fantastic. Strong drinks, healthy local sourced foods, perfect service. Def recommend

I was visiting Erie for the weekend and I searched distilleries and this hidden jem popped up. I overviewed the menu and decided this is the culinary experience I'm looking for. Once entering I was met with bright lighting and a huge dining space and bar. The luminary theme is throughout the building with interesting light fixtures and lightbulb merch. The distillery was full on a Saturday evening so I proceeded to sit at the bar. They make all of their alcohol and they feature it with a book of fresh cocktails and special attention to "Moscow mules" providing different variations. I had a flight of local craft beers and the blanco tequila they make. The beer flight was tasty I had a variation of ipas and Irish red beers. The beers flight was 5, 1oz samples. The tequila was so good I got a second shot. Everything on the menu sounded delicious so I chose the peach and prosciutto pizza, and it was amazing. Fresh peaches and fresh arugula made the pizza tasty and unique. I also ordered the Italian herb bruschetta chicken, delicious . The quality ingredients this restaurant uses is amazing. You can purchase the alcohol, they make flavors like apple pie moonshine, cherry pie moonshine and a light house reserve brandy. The service was attentive and friendly. Every time I come to Erie I'm stopping here! They have brunch on Saturday and Sunday and a delicious looking bakery. I looked on their instagram and they have a talented cake and cookie artist the dessert quality matches the quality of the food and drinks this establishment provides!

I found Luminary Distilling charming in downtown Erie charming. I spotted it when I was walking my dog and we went in for a low-key drink later that evening. They really delivered. I had the Creamsicle martini, and it was very smooth and fruity, with vanilla vodka and their own brand tangerinecello. I also tried the cello solo, and ended up buying a bottle. It has a great flavor, and stacks up well against Noble Cut in Columbus, my favorite place for citrus infused vodka! The bar tender was friendly, but low key and we really enjoyed our drinks.

We are super excited we found this place in Erie. Excellent food. The charcuterie board was made up with love, not your usual store bought items. The cheese and meats were so good along with the apple butter, and perfectly baked toasts. The Ruben pizza was a winner and the crust was so fresh. As for the drinks, plenty of options. We both got mules, It's Fall y'all and Tootsie roll. They were delicious. As for service our bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to come back.

Came here for brunch and will DEFINITELY be back. The food was fresh and amazing, the service was great, the restaurant is beautiful, and the drinks were so good. I got the avocado toast for myself and was so happy with it. I've tried other brunch places in Erie where they just smear some guac from the store on a piece of bread and call it a day, but this tasted just as good as it looks. Everything was so fresh! The chorizo skillet and the croissant sandwich were also great, I tried bites of it all. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

    Dining room and tasting area.

Very cool experience. Good pairing well our various beverages. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. For such a small distillery, they had a good variety of spirits at good price.

Reservations are strongly recommended, especially when they have a band performing. My go-to dish is the short rib dish. The mashed potatoes are amazing and the short ribs are packed with flavor. On this particular visit, they were a bit skimpy on the au jus sauce (it's normally got a healthy laddle of pan sauce on the bowl) but that's okay. I did splurge for my birthday and get a slice of the peanut butter pie. It was super rich and exactly what peanut butter lovers want in a peanut butter pie.

We started with "the 33" and "Black Widow", but I swapped the tequila for mezcal and that was a good choice! The 33 was absolutely delicious...but they did run out of Penelope for the day. So, a second drink unfortunately didn't happen. We put our order in for food about 10 minutes after getting there. No joke, the food arrived almost an HOUR later. We had to ask the bartender what was up; there was no proactive alert as to when the food was arriving. That was off-putting. The food was very good. It's hard to get a pork chop right and they managed to achieve it. The sides were also delicious. My husband's steak was very good and the spicy crema that they put on top was a nice touch. The wait time for the food was unacceptable, honestly. Something should have been comped, but the bartender was too busy to notice. No water refill for close to 30-40 minutes either. We would return but definitely on a different day, when they maybe have more employees working in the kitchen. Or maybe just skip food altogether. *shrug*

The place is just outside of town. The inside is cute with wood floors and ceiling. Looks kinda like a cabin inside. The staff was really nice and the salads were really good. While I was waiting for my food the bartender said to call in my orders instead of online ordering with door dash because the prices are better. I really appreciated her advice. So much so we ordered takeout again the following evening. We got the Outlaw burger and fries, the Cuban, and some fried pickles. Everything was really good. The Cuban was really big, I could only eat half. My boyfriend said his burger was a little more pink in the middle than he prefers but that it was still good. Next time I'm home visiting him, we will definitely be back. The portions are decent. Prices are a little bit higher than expected but the staff and food make it worth it to me. I know stuff costs more now so with that in mind too, I realize businesses have to adjust. It's worth checking out if you're in the Meadville area.

We had our dog with us so we only planted to get carry out, and then we discovered a shaded patio. We decided to stay and eat outside. I was standing at the host stand for quite a while because I hadn't noticed the seat yourself sign. I had also walked in the restaurant and was looking around for any employee - two servers at a table saw me standing there looking confused but then just went right back into the kitchen. When another guest pointed out the sign, I thought well that's great but if we want to sit outside will they ever know we are there. Someone finally returned to the bar and we were able to get a server. We ended up ordering three appetizers - skoat balls, cheese sticks, peach Burrata. All three good. I also ordered a blueberry mint mocktail beer that was actually quite disappointing. It was also quite a charming little town! Would like to go back again sometime, sadly that is unlikely to ever happen.

The restaurant is much larger than it appears from the outside. Once you head through the first dining room and down the steps, you're greeted by a warm, homey dining room with a surprisingly spacious bar. It has a comfortable neighborhood feel, and the staff was friendly throughout our visit. Our cocktails arrived in about 10 minutes, and the hush puppies followed about 20 minutes later. They had a nice flavor, but were much denser and chewier than I expected. The bigger issue was the wait for our entrees. With the restaurant not appearing particularly busy, nearly 50 minutes for fried chicken and jerk chicken felt excessive. The good news? The chicken absolutely delivered! Both the fried chicken and the jerk chicken were packed with flavor and easily stole the show. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, while the jerk had a wonderful balance of seasoning and spice. Those dishes alone made the meal worthwhile. Unfortunately, my mashed potatoes arrived warm instead of hot. After such a long wait, I was hoping everything would come out piping hot, and that side just missed the mark. Cole slaw was fresh but pretty boring in the flavor department. I really wanted this to be the five-star experience that so many others have had. While this visit didn't quite live up to the hype, the quality of the chicken showed why Pineapple Eddie's has earned such a loyal following. We'll happily give them another shot someday and hope they earn that elusive fifth star.

They had Gary, the owner of Virgil's, making his pizza and I was very much looking forward to having it again. He had my favorite pizza and I missed having it. So when I heard he was making his pizza again, I booked a reservation. Now, for the record, A. Francisco's is my new favorite pizza, Colin is a pizza genius. But I missed Virgil's, so I ordered my go to pepperoni pizza. I was pretty disappointed. As soon as they put the pizza down, I knew it was different. It didn't look like I knew Virgils to look like. The crust was different. The pepperoni was different... it wasn't Virgil's. I've eaten hundreds of squares. I would get 6 squares and eat them for lunch and want more...this time I ate two... just to be polite. The biggest difference was the dough. It didn't look like Virgil's and it didn't taste close to what Virgil's tasted like. My wife had the house made spaghetti with shrimp and it was very good. The buratta balls were excellent. Those were from A. Francisco's menu and we always have excellent food from here. But for someone who loved Virgil's, this was NOT the Virgil's that I remember and loved. I don't know what happened to his dough, but tonight I'm going to A. Francisco's for my new favorite pizza made by Colin. I'm not a fan of their pepperoni, so I go sausage and arugula. Both were delicious, featuring a well-balanced, crispy oven-baked crust that wasn't overly crunchy, elevated by parmesan, red pepper flakes, and a touch of sea salt.
