I have tried everything possible to avoid leaving a poor review as I don't like to publicly complain about companies but I have been left with no choice. I got married in October of 20205 and received my photos 12 weeks later (which I understand was addressed in the contract that it could be up to 12 weeks for a return time). The issue was that I didn't receive all my photos back. I am missing all of my family photos. I have reached out via email and have been texting the manager but continue to get the run around saying "they will check for any missing files" and that they're extremely busy. I first contacted the company about the missing photos on 1/31/25 and still have not gotten a response as to whether they have the photos or not. Because of this, I would NOT recommend this company as I don't want anyone else to experience this and to not get very important photos back from their wedding day. Update: I reached out to my wedding venue who then immediately reached out to Lumiere. Apparently the owner was unaware of the situation. They were very apologetic for the lack of communication and I did finally end up receiving all of my missing photos! read more

We have had a wonderful experience with Lumiere. They were great and reasonably priced for all the work they provide. I have used them for my small backyard wedding, and they also did my best friend's large wedding. For the small backyard wedding the photographer was so kind and gentle. She showed up early and captured all photos we wanted and needed. She was very patient with my needs and actually stayed longer then we contracted her for. I also received my photos quickly. It was a very pleasant experience. I recommended them for my best friend's wedding and they did an amazing job there as well. There were two photographers and they truly captured some great memories and photos. I know my best friend really liked her experience as well. I attached one of the photos (please note, I took the picture with my phone, so it's NOT the original picture). I highly recommend them for your event. Lumiere (and especially our photographer Rachelle) was the best option we could have gone with for our wedding!!! She went above and beyond and helped with ties and boutineers for the boys before detail shots. Not only is Rachelle extremely talented, she LITERALLY saved the day when my wedding dress zipper broke and she sewed me into my dress. I don't know what we would have done without her. Rachelle has an amazing personality and made us feel comfortable with all our poses. She captured some stunning candids and the lighting felt perfect in every shot. Lumiere put a dark cloud over what was a wonderful wedding. It took them over three months to show us a single photo. Anytime I asked for an update they told me they had until 12 weeks. 12 weeks came and went and we didn't hear a word from them. I had to follow up several times awaiting a response for days with no real answer and get our venue involved to see photos. They made us feel like we were just a number to them and were completely impersonal. They were completely unwilling to work with me on getting a sneak peek of photos for any price and were completely unapologetic about missing their deadline. We also had several calls with Rachelle leading up to the wedding and the day before the wedding were told Ely would be there with no explanation. I had to ask her several times to start the first look and I (the bride) was responsible for telling everyone where to go and asking for different locations for photos. I had to keep the photos moving so we could finish family photos before the guests arrived and tell her we needed to stop because guests were arriving. The photos themselves are not even heavily edited, just general lighting adjustments. I would not recommend them to anyone. They were impersonal, rude, stressful, unwilling to work with us, and didn't meet their deadline. read more

I waited 2 years to write this in hopes I would calm down but anytime someone asks me about my wedding photographer or I see how well another one works my blood boils. Let me preface by saying that the videography is 5/5 but the photography experience outweighed the good. We're in love with the video. I could go on for hours about all the things they did wrong but will stick with the major ones. I hired two shooters to help with the timeline because we weren't doing a first look (which they tried to pressure me to do, which I didn't appreciate) and to get both of our reactions to me walking down the aisle. We discussed the timeline in detail prior to the wedding. I specifically told them that if they got no other shot, for the love of all that is holy, get that one. They got a single photo from a distance of my husband and it was pretty poor quality. There were multiple times we were waiting around pre ceremony fully ready to go, with them no where to be found and had to go find them. Because of them not following the timeline all family photos (that were supposed to be taken pre ceremony) were taken right before the reception and therefore were in the dark and horrific quality. I had to ask for photos of just me (the bride) because I had realized they weren't going to take any without me asking. These were also taken in the dark and were grainy photos. Again, photos that were supposed to be taken pre-ceremony. They don't know what first looks are for father of the bride or bridesmaids. They had all the bridesmaids line up facing me while I was naked trying to get in my dress which was beyond uncomfortable. I had to kick them out. Then they just had everyone file into the room without a proper set up to get a good shot. No surprise factor really. Photos of my mom helping with the dress were taken at awkward angles and the opposite of flattering. A lot of photos had elements cut off, part of the dress, elbow, that short of thing. One of the reasons I chose them was because they were a preferred vendor for my venue (Tercero by Aldea) and pride themselves on knowing the best ways to take photos on the property. I would not have known that working with them; for the reasons stated above as well as the fact I wanted the wedding party photos taken in a certain area. It was previously discussed when we were going over the timeline and then last minute they said no because of the lighting and ended up taking them with a random background that had a shack and fans in the background. I chose the venue because of all the photo opp locations and they didn't use any others to work with the lighting even though they knew the timing when originally discussed. Every groomsmen (who are very laid back guys) said they were incredibly rude, which they are the type of people to let those things go. They also snapped at my mother in law for taking a photo of us during the reception to send to her daughter who wasn't able to make it. I didn't say anything until I received the photos in hopes that I would forget about all the misgivings once I had all the photos. When I received them I was hysterically crying. I almost got fully dressed up again to retake them that's how unhappy I was but you can't re-enact the day. I sent an email with details of everything I wanted edited which they were accommodating to do what they could, and sent multiple versions to give multiple editing styles, which I appreciated. The revisions were much better but again, you can't go back in time and fix the fact very important photos were taken in the dark which editing can only do so much. For how many weddings they've shot, it was shocking that things turned out as poorly as they did. They were included in our venue package, but my biggest regret of the whole wedding is not paying the extra to bring in an outside vendor. I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy. You only get one wedding day and photos are arguably the most valuable vendor you hire. read more

This review is long overdue, but Lumiere shot our wedding in August, 2022 and we cannot express our gratitude enough. Hiring a photographer was the most difficult process for me and most important vendor above all. Lumiere did an extraordinary job, and delivered even better photos than I expected. They were an absolute pleasure to have at my wedding, and they returned the photos promptly and they were STUNNING. Hiring Lumiere was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. We were very happy with their services the day of our wedding and we truly love our wedding photos. We also decided to use them for videography which has lead us to some disappointment. The highlight video had some minor flaws including a sentence being cut off early and audio/visuals not aligning properly. They advised us that they would have to create a whole new video and that would cost $300 per hour. I asked for a quote over a month ago on how long it might take them to correct this and we have not heard back. We were also told they would correct another minor audio portion on our grand entrance recap and have yet to receive that. I totally understand their work requires compensation, but I was hoping these minor missed details (that could have been avoided) could be easily corrected to polish off the videos but sadly not it seems. read more
