She was so organized and helpful the days leading up to our wedding. She created a timeline for us, called us whenever we had questions, and gave great advice. She truly is an expert in her field! When we got our photos back, I noticed that a hanger ribbon/strap was hanging out of my dress in some of the photos. I asked Genevieve if there was any way to photoshop it out and she happily did it right away. She was truly a magician editing the strap out- I can't even tell it was there! My family and I are in the process of picking out pictures to print from our wedding and the hardest part is choosing which ones are our favorites! Genevieve took the most breathtaking shots of us. Every time we open up our online gallery, it takes us both back to our wedding day that we will treasure forever. She captured our personalities and every essence of our special day. I had heard about Genevieve Hansen through a few friends that had all used her and she came highly recommended! So I thought I would reach out and see if she was available to help me with a little surprise for my fiancé as she has always wanted to get professional photos! Genevieve was more than happy to help me figure everything out, help with multiple great locations that I could pick from, and not to mention we showed up late to our first photo session! Genevieve saw from minute 1 that my fiancé and I were brushing off being irritated that we made each other late and trying to make the whole surprise happen. She instantly brought up that we should take a break and reschedule when we can be more relaxed and genuinely happy! That is unheard of these days for a business professional to place her business on hold to ensure for the best possible outcome! So, here comes round 2 and we are back and ready to roll... Turns out that when I am put on the spot for photos I am not as photogenic as I once thought! I was nervous! I felt awkward as I wasn't use to having to "pose" for the photos. By the third photo taken, I had completely forgot that I was in a photo session! Genevieve had me talking and laughing and explaining our lives. It took me a couple weeks to realize how amazing she was at making me feel very comfortable in a situation that I at first did not! Then when we received the photos back, we were stunned! She was able to capture our natural happiness, even though we could be irritated at the first go around, to seeing the photos she was able to take we both realized how amazing life is and how blessed we are! ALL from seeing both of us smile in the photos! Genevieve is wonderful to work with!

We do not consider ourselves a "photogenic couple", but Patrick still got amazing shots. He had great ideas of where do an engagement shoot, made us feel comfortable, took every single photo we requested. Our families and friends were all thrilled with the photos as well. Hollye (the owner), and the rest of the staff were always easy to get in touch with; something very important when wedding planning. We feel like we hit the jackpot when picking Lylo Studio to commemorate this special time in our lives. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

It's not just about her incredible work, but it's the other element she brings to it - she is a warm, caring person who will go above and beyond for her clients. Everyone involved in weddings has had a rough time, and she was the one vendor that didn't add to that stress and instead made our lives easier! Example - on the day of the wedding, we had transportation issues from the hotel to the ceremony and without a second thought, she drove me and a bridesmaid there so we'd be on time. Anyway, I could go on and on but the point is I would hire her again in a heartbeat!

She helped me with my professional photos and we had a great photo shoot for not professional portraits. I was very happy with the results. Valerie met with me and we went over my ideas and her ideas, we achieved a good plan and it was delivered. I noticed and I am thankful she was very thoughtful on finding what I was looking for. She took the time of giving me options for locations and even if I am not photography savvy she walked me through the modeling part and how I would look the best. I have also seen the work that she has done with families and dogs, engagements and wedding. I was not expecting to have such great professional pictures when it was just me, however, I saw that she has true dedication to any project, even for one person portraits. She is very patient, which was amazing for a person as me who is lost, which gives me a reference that she could be great with kids, and you can see that her children pictures are amazing too. Reliability as well. She gave me a date not far from the photo shoot and she delivered good quality pictures to me. Everyone at work asked and I will definitely recommend, and now I can also change my social media profile picture with something that makes me look amazing! I was also nervous about social distancing and measures to protect me and her. She was very thoughtful gave me a personal hand sanitizer and wore a mask all the time. She also thought about weather, how much I would have to walk, pose, stand. She even thought about me bringing water and extra shoes. This is what I call a well rounded profesional who cares about clients, has an amazing customer service and delivers high quality product. Thanks Valerie!!
