We decided to go to here to do a little Christmas shopping and to see if we could find some good deals for ourselves. I was truly surprised by all the amazing stores that are at this outlet mall and all the wonderful deals. We were not able to get around the whole outlet but that is just fine because I plan to come back and shop the whole things. I will be ready next time!

We found a few good deals and it was a nice break from all the other touristy attractions around Pigeon Forge.

The Old Mill in Pigeon Forge is one of those places that combines history, charm, and great food…read moreall in one stop. Built in 1830, the gristmill has been grinding grain for nearly 200 years, and you can still see the iconic water wheel turning on the Little Pigeon River today. It's a true piece of living history and one of the most photographed spots in the Smoky Mountains. One of the best parts is that the mill is still in operation. The flour and cornmeal ground here are used daily at the Old Mill Restaurant, which serves up some of the best Southern comfort food you'll find in the area. The biscuits, pancakes, and cornbread taste extra special knowing they're made from grain ground right on-site. You can also purchase bags of their flour and mixes at the General Store to take a little piece of Pigeon Forge home with you. Some of the places I visited here including the Old Mill restaurant, the pottery shop, the ice cream store, the candy store, and the general store are reviewed separately. The Old Mill is one of the most photographed areas for movies and TV. It is a working mill and you can see the wheel rolling along with a long waterfall off to the side. Ducks swim in the water and it's so cute to watch them. An overhead sign welcomes you to the Square. There are other photo opportunites here as well. Check out the park bench surrounded by flowers. It makes a great shot. Free parking is in the back. Watch out for traffic coming off the parkway when you want to cross the street. In addition to the above shops there is also a clothing store, a blacksmith,a distillery, a leather store and the Old Mill pottery house restaurant to dine in. Some of the stores have actual demonstations such as the pottery house and the blacksmith. You can find more about the Mill itself if you visit the general store and restaurant. During our visit we had an entertainer play his guitar on the front porch of the general store. It gave us a real southern vibe and welcome to this place. More importantly get those photos. They are ones you definitely want to cherish! Was very happy to visit this place I'd been looking forward to coming to for a long time.

It was tax free weekend, unbeknown to us, that made it even more crowded that we expected. They had some folks "attempting" to direct traffic, not sure where they found them or if anyone had instructed them on how to do this job because it was chaos from the minute we pulled into the area. The prices were not impressive at any of the stores we visited. Disney was typically priced for any of their stores, Old Navy had better sales at our local store than the outlet, Toys R Us was a joke, Janie and Jack had a few good buys, shoe stores didn't impress us either. We had 2 younger children with us that were getting hot and very bored. I wish there had been a few more spots to sit and chill for them. Nike and Abercrombie had some decent buys. Overall, not worth the hassle trying to find a place to park, the stores were overly crowded, merchandise on the floors and not enough people working to keep the check outs moving at a decent pace. I love shopping here every other time I have been here so it must have been the time of the year that made it so underwhelming and yet overwhelming at the same time.

Disney, Victoria Secrets, Lululemon, Clarks and the list goes on. The parking lot was full during our visit, but stores did not seem crowded. The mall is laid out in small strip mall segments so you have to cross a lot of traffic to work your way from store to store. It's difficult to move the car around because the lots are full. I was glad I had my "driver". The mall is clean with a Southern vibe. I saw one restaurant. I did not see mall maps to help me locate stores. Prices were pretty good in the stores that I entered. I bought a few things that I wasn't expecting to purchase.

Old Forge Plaza has tons to offer. Aside from the local gas station, this is the only location in…read morethe area that we revisited during our 4-day/5-night stay. There's the distillery where you can do free moonshine tastings (with an "s"). There are also shops for leathersmithing, blacksmithing, pottery and more. There are restaurants and a old-fashioned candy store with taffy, fudge and more made onsite. The employees of all the different shops provided great service and were all very nice and welcoming. Some of the pricing was a bit high, but these aren't items that you'll find on Walmart shelves. They are unique and hand-crafted.

It's so well priced, skip all the other junk souvenir shops and come here. The meeting of the live bears for just a couple bucks was amazing. They look well taken care of, and the kids loved it. The bears loved the apples you can feed. The arcade was a hit! The staff was soo friendly. This is a must see. I'm serious. Next to it is the gem mining which was top tier and really well priced and good value. Then next to that is this cute photo op / selfie area. (Free) I think it was called Bigfoot's country barn. You can literally stay parked at the three bears and just walk a few steps to see both. Very very cool!!!
