Avoid! BROKE the good window! Did not fixed the other
Our Building Manager hired Tony to do the maintenance for the windows in the building. I asked to do it for dining room window only. Tony poked his fingers in all windows even nobody asked him to do it. The result: two windows - no difference, the window in bedroom (which was totally fine before Tony visit) - completely broken. I asked Tony to make it as it was before - he bluntly refused and was keeping to repeat like parrot that nothing can be done.
Answer on Google Reviews from owner of Lumasso:
Hi Denis. Thankyou for your comments.
We were hired directly by the owners of the rental building where you live, and as such you have never been a client of Lumasso.
The owners of The Barclay asked us to do some repairs (as we have done on other occasions), which this time consisted in replacing damaged wheels on any malfunctioning sliding windows or patio doors of tenants that had previously notified the building manager that they wanted their windows repaired. Since every unit in the apartment building has been rented by people like yourself as their home, the building owners from time to time offer to repair and maintain certain aspects of the building free of charge to tenants like yourself. This is what we were hired to do, and have done so.
I think the proper term is not "broken" as neither the dining room window, nor the bedroom window nor the patio door have any broken parts. We checked them all.
Since you notified the building manager that you wanted your windows repaired (she was present with me at the time we spoke with your wife at the door), and subsequently gave us permission to perform the repairs, we did so as agreed upon with the manager.
If you would have taken time to notice that the dining room window (newer double paned window) is not the same as the bedroom window (original single paned) when the installer tried to explain this to you (you said you did not care what Tony had to say), you would have noticed that the dining room window runs on a plastic track, and has a completely different wheel system. We did not repair this one, nor change the wheels as it is in perfect condition.
The window in the bedroom on the other hand, had severely worn out wheels that were scraping on the aluminum track. These were replaced with 2 brand new nylon wheels, paid for by the building owner, at no cost to you. The window was then tested numerous times and proved to work fine. Since the building is over 40 years old, the moving window continues to scrape the fixed window frame as it has for many years. In extreme cases, as in your dining room, the whole window unit would have to be replaced. The owners have decided not to replace any windows at this time, but only replace the wheels. As per your request; the old damaged wheels cannot be replaced back into the window frame. That does not make sense, nor does the building manager accept such an idea.
As the installer politely told you in your unit, and again when you met him in the lobby, that any complaints would have to be expressed with the building manager directly, not with Lumasso.
We were in contact with the building managers today ( who highly recommend us), and they expressed that they are completely satisfied with the work performed by Lumasso on all 15 units, as are all the other tenants.
It seems that you are commenting through an incorrect channel, as all problems you may have with your rental unit should be addressed to your building manager, not publicly on a business page, since you were never contracted by us, nor did you pay us any money for the work performed, and as such you cannot claim to be a client of ours.
Please note: Our installer has informed us that he will not return to your apartment unit for any future repairs or maintenance of any kind unless a building manager is present - as he was greatly offended by the verbal abuse he received after having finished a job well done.
Have a nice day.
Regards
