Not only did he tell me that my belts had to be changed out (they were due), but he actually took the time to show me where the problem was happening underneath the hood! As a teacher, I really value learning and was so pleased with him, his mechanics, and the wonderful job they did changing out my belts, which didn't take long to do. There's a reason people keep saying this place is the best: because it's TRUE. Don't waste your time somewhere else, this is the auto shop to see.

The shop that rebuilt the transfer case twice and took it apart 4 more times was unable to fix it. GM dealer charged $400 for a speed sensor, but did not fix it. Finally, in the last storm I lost 4x4 totally and took it to Wayne Transmission. Turns out it was rebuilt with the wrong parts. Each one only 1/1000th of an inch off, but added up to failure. If you need transmission work I highly recommend Wayne Transmission. I do not recommend any shop in Madison.

I made an appointment for my service on their website and highly recommend you do as well as opposed to walk-in service as they are very busy and then calling them to confirm that for your requested service that you can wait rather than drop off (BUT that depends on where you live and of course what you need done, I'm in NYC so I can't drop it off and leave and comeback when done, I need to wait; if I needed time consuming work / parts like the lower block changed on my J35Y6 engine due to the connecting rod recall, I'd need to leave it there and come back when done days later of course, but for fluid changes like oil/atf/differential/transfer case/break/coolant, I would wait.) I ended up changing the transmission cooler because I noticed it only struggled to get in gear when hot. Anyways two years later same Jeep Grand Cherokee with the same trans and it shifts perfect and is still going. Maybe it was an honest mistake, what annoys me more is they performed a trans service without my permission, and when they did they striped 3 of the bolts on the pan, I am sure they used an impact gun. The pan leaks now. I don't live in NJ anymore, but I know the shop as it has been there for years. I just wanted to take the time out to write this as I thought it could be useful to others looking to get a diagnosis.
