I had the worst experience of my life at this practice, specifically with the front desk staff. The level of customer service was completely unacceptable. The employee who assisted me, if it wasn't her first day, should honestly not be working in that position. They made me wait two hours only to tell me that they were no longer seeing patients at that time. On top of that, they asked me for a referral that I did not need. I called my insurance provider on speakerphone, and they clearly confirmed that no referral was required, but the staff did not care at all. I was told they would call me back the same day. I waited until 12:20 PM, and no one ever called. This shows a complete lack of concern for patients and for people who genuinely need medical care. Do not go to this practice. It is a total waste of time and, without a doubt, the worst experience I have ever had. read more

Dr. Mesa is an excellent dr. I was having some issues with my asthma. Had been to ER and also had several urgent care visits and I was still not feeling well. Since it was my first visit with him, he reviewed all my medical history thoroughly and asked me several questions. I went through some testing, and he adjusted my medications. I am thankful to have found him, and cannot say enough about his professionalism. read more

Dr. Mesa is an excellent physician. I have nothing but praise for him as he has literally saved my life when I absolutely could not breathe. Having severe asthma, I was having hospital stays or ER visits every two months before he got me back on track. My last pulmonologist just told me to go to ER if I had issues. Ingrid is also excellent and very caring. I am grateful that he can figure out how to improve my life instead of just telling me to go to hospital. read more

Dr. Meza is a good Doctor, but the administrative staff is terrible. The staff don't care about the patient needs. No answer the phone, put in hold for more than 20 minutes, hang up on you after a long time waiting. The staff don't answer the phone during business hours, your phone call is transferred to a service and no matter how many times you request an appointment they never call you back. I was able to set up an appointment for today, after several attempts. When I arrived to the office today, carrying over my sleep therapy machine, they told me that I made a mistake that the appointment is for this coming Monday. They also said that I didn't have a referral, I called my primary physician office and they said that the referral was sent 2 days ago. I explained to the clerk who just look at my file and said well...... it's not here, there was not empathy at all from her, or even pretend looking over for the referral. The Dr is good but the administrative staff is terrible. After 1 month of having the appointment with the Dr Mesa and having seen the sleep test report and telling us that the machine took 2 weeks, when I called and asked the told me that the Dr didn't see the report. The next day they called saying that they didn't have the insurance information. We have it the same day of the appointment. Not to mention the office handles bills, REAL MESS. read more

Shameful. My Grandfather suffered of low oxygen the entire visit in Dr Mesa's office as they did not have sufficient oxygen for him on site. How was this not advised prior? He could have brought his own tank. He sat with less than half of his normal flow for over an hour and suffered. Negligence on their part. Weeks went by where my Grandfather waited for equipment, medicine...he passed away still waiting for items which may have helped him stay comfortable a bit longer. Dr Mesa is very good pulmonologist however his staff isn't very good. On numerous occasions, when I've called, I've had the phone picked up and hung up and have on several occasions I've spent more than 30 minutes on hold waiting for someone to pick up just tp get a prescription sent to order my breathing supplies. It is an all day event to get hold of anyone there and would probably be easier to drive to his office but, I've had to wait a while there too. Dr Mesa came highly recommended but his staff really make it a challenge. read more

this dr mesa is all about money...hell no , go to another, plenty of them in miami.......they just charged my inurance under dr bernstein for a bill for a broncoscopy that he never did because they never called the patient the day before to give her instructions, but i will fight that bill with the insurance company.... read more
