Lasagna

In a Sacramento native and I've never had Luigi's. A friend wanted to come here so I obliged. Parking is a bit of a pain since you can't park on Stockton so you have to park down a residential neighborhood. We were greeted right away, handed some menus and told to sit wherever but they don't offer table service and we'd have to come back to the counter to order. We got a create your own, the Louisiana shrimp and the goes with beer pizza. The shrimp pizza tasted like a shrimp Alfredo. The goes with beer pizza had some spice from the jalapeños and loaded with pepperoni and linguica. I also ordered a lasagna to go and they forgot about it. The lasagna was horrible. It was dry and had a weird taste. Loved the pizzas but can't recommend the lasagna. Overall, lasagna aside, it was decent pizza with a thin crispy crust and good sauce. I'll be back for sure.

I want to like this place, with the pinball etc, but first attempt, out of marinara sauce would have been 45 minute wait. Second attempt, we ordered there - in person - an hour's wait. Pizza was too soggy to eat had to reheat.. in an actually hot oven. Sorry.

This pizza place is sooooooo gooooooood!!!! Definitely 5 stars for the kind staff & the taste of the food. I had to take off one star for them lacking a changing table in the bathroom, the hour long wait for the food, and it being really noisy in the restaurant (they don't have too much control over the noise, but that was just a down side I wanted to include). Their ranch is also sooooo delicious! Will definitely come back here!

I popped into Luigi's to kill some time before an event next door and ended up having such a great little experience. I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered a drink. Shoutout to the bartender who was super sweet and helped me craft the perfect margarita combo (we mixed strawberry and mango and it was chef's kiss... so good I had two!. I didn't get a chance to order food myself, but the event I was attending served pizza from Luigi's, so I snagged a quick taste. Even just that small bite had me wanting more, which is exactly why I'll be back! I want to actually sit down, relax, and dive into a full meal next time. The vibe of the place really stood out too. It felt like a true local gem, the kind of spot where regulars keep coming back for good reason. Can't wait to return and experience more of what they've got to offer.

I checked out Luigi's for the first time last night after checking out Community Shop Class next door. My husband loves Luigi's and was craving pizza so this was the perfect place. I loved the old Italian pizzeria mafia feel when we walked in - you can tell this place is loved by the locals and there is a reason why it has been around for so many years - since the 1950's I believe! We ordered the Goes with Beer pizza and the Mama Mia sampler - everything was really good! We especially liked the pizza and the sampler wings. My daughter devoured the mozzarella sticks and wings! They offer $7 cocktails and $5 margaritas all summer! They even have an area with pinball machines and a room in the back for larger parties. Staff were very friendly and you could tell they really loved their jobs! I want to come back and try their pastas and salads! Luigi's is down the street from my work so we will definitely be back soon! Check them out!

Sacramento classic right here. If you want a consistently great pizza, look no further than Luigi's. There is something for everyone here. My teens love the garlic bread and wings. Me and my oldest are die hard fans of the boulevard pizza. It never misses. And the ranch here is my all time favorite. The vibes are always on point. Locals frequent the joint for a bite and drink. Lots of families enjoying themselves. And the staff are always friendly and staying on top of the customers needs.

Food is good. Staff and service were very nice. It wasn't terribly busy. Your typical restaurant ambiance.

After trying this pizza at a YEE event I ordered it on DoorDash! It didn't disappoint. It came hot, delicious and affordable! Let me tell you- the ranch is freaking amazing!!!! I ordered a small pepperoni and garlic bread. I thought I was ordering cheesy garlic bread but I messed up! Nonetheless it was all amazing! Deff need to go check this place out in person next! Thanks Luigi's!

Came in on a busy Saturday evening, ordered an antipasto salad and meat lovers pizza. The salad was pretty mediocre but the pizza definitely redeemed it. It was full of flavor and the crust was divine ~ crispy, buttery, and thin (but not so thin it collapses ya know?) We had to wait 45 minutes or so for the pizza but that's to be expected on a weekend. We didn't order drinks but noticed they have $5-$7 cocktails!

A local pizza joint with history. Luigi's is listed as Sacramento's first pizza parlor and has been around since 1953. There's street parking in the area and walking in is like taking a step back in time. The walls are decorated with art, murals and neons and the whole vibe is welcoming, comfortable, and old school pizza parlor. They even have a collection of pinball machines in the back. I ordered at the bar and found a table. The green chairs at the hightops were surprisingly comfortable. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh- the portions also seemed generous and the prices were fair. I ordered meatballs with marinara ($6), artichoke Jalapeno dip ($6), a Large Antipasto Salad ($9.50), a Large Pepperoni pizza ($25) and a small Boulevard pizza ($22). The meatballs came with three generously sized meatballs with plenty of sauce- these would be great with garlic bread or over pasta. The Artichoke dip was flavorful and came with fresh pizza dough strips to dip. It has a good spice level and plenty of artichoke pieces. The antipasto salad was a good size, definitely shareable, and had a nice variety of toppings. There were toppings I haven't had in an antipasto elsewhere like roasted red peppers and artichoke pieces. The pepperoni pizza had a good amount of pepperoni and cheese, but wasn't our favorite. The crust on this large pizza seemed a bit different than the small pizza we got. The Boulevard was my favorite of the two pizzas, the crust on this one seemed better and they loaded it with toppings. On both pizzas it seemed like there were crunchy bits (we think it may have been cornmeal used on the pizza paddle?) but they detracted from the experience and made it a bit tougher to enjoy the pizza. I learned that they make all their dressings in house and they sell small and large containers of ranch to take home with your food. They also have plenty of space for groups, including a party room in the back, past the arcade games. They also sell merch that you can wear back to the restaurant for a discount on your meal, which is cute for regulars. I was super happy to try this slice of Sacramento history and I'd stop by again when in the area. I also heard the sandwiches are great, so that will have to happen.

I stopped by Luigi's Pizza Parlor after wrapping up a Yelp event with Shop Class next door, and I couldn't have asked for a better way to end the night. The moment you walk in, you're hit with the mouthwatering smell of fresh pizza being made. Since it was late, we opted for takeout, and I went home with: - Boulevard Pizza (SML - $22) - Buffalo Wings ( 1/2 pound) Let me tell you... So. Good. You can really taste the freshness in every bite, and the fact that so many ingredients are made in-house, from the meatballs to the ranch dip, is a huge bonus for me. The small pizza was way more than enough for one person. I ended up stretching it into dinner that night, plus lunch and dinner the next day and it still tasted just as good. There's plenty of indoor seating if you want to dine in, and the decor gives off a classic, retro pizza house vibe that I loved. They've also got a full bar, which is where I spent most of my time, while I waited for my order. Let me just say, you cannot beat their $5 margaritas. The staff were also all so kind and welcoming and I'm so glad I decided to stop by! I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Next time, I'm bringing friends and I know they'll love it just as much as I did.

DELICIOUS! Just as I remembered the pizza from decades ago. Wonderful toppings cut chunky size. Wonderful Crispy crust. I loved it! I will return! PS. I had the combo. The sausage was replaced with salami because Luiji's makes their own sausage and it the sausage would not be ready until 4 - 4:30pmish. I was here during the lunch hour.

THE COLONIAL
Alex S.

Luigi's is a staple in the neighborhood. Located on Stockton Blvd, they've been around for decades. We stopped in for dinner and happened to be there for $5 margarita night! We got margaritas even though they're not usually our first choice with pizza! We ordered the colonial. I liked the meatballs on it, but the jalapeños didn't add much for me. I would try just the meatballs next time. It looked like they also had some tasty sandwiches coming out to other tables, so I'd like to try that sometime too!

Crazy delicious wings, amazing pizza slice! The fourth time I've had their food! You really need to try it!

Ask the Community - Luigi's Pizza Parlor

What are the vegan options? Are any of the pizza sauces vegan? Really want to try the new Luigi's.

Personally, I didn’t find Luigi’s enjoyable. I have had better pizza from Papa Murphy’s!!!

How long is the store closed for? It's been "temporarily closed for deep cleaning" for several weeks now.

3/1/2019 - Luigi's is open! Open 7 days a week. Our hours are 11a to 9p Sunday - Wednesday, and 11a to 10p Thursday - Saturday.

Is Luigi's still open? I have found information on the web that says it's closed permanently.

3/1/2019 - Luigi's is open! Open 7 days a week. Our hours are 11a to 9p Sunday - Wednesday, and 11a to 10p Thursday - Saturday.

Why have they been closed?

We closed to complete a deep clean and brightening up of the dining room and bar. We now have a custom bar, a dedicated arcade room, and more dining room seating. Please stop by and check it out. We are open 7 days a week. Our hours are 11a to 9p… Read more

When you enter the store the deli counter is to the left. You begin your order by filling out a small piece of paper which tells the sandwich makers what to put on your sandwich. Once your selections are made place the paper on a small black plate at the end of the counter right next to where you filled out order sheet. I usually go with a turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich with pepper jack for the cheese. They have all of the usual fixings expected at a deli shop. Just circle what you want and wait for them to call your name. What made the sandwich stand out was the generous portion size and the fresh bread. The Dutch crunch actually crunched!!! They have tables and chairs outside to the left of the entrance to sit and eat. The store opened in 1947 and the food was excellent. Will most definitely be back when I am in the town!!

I found out later, you can also either call your order in, or you can order pick up or delivery through DoorDash. I came back on the following Monday, and the place was still busy, but not as busy. They have a decent number of cash register stations taking orders. They have an extremely large menu. I counted 18 different Banh mi variations, and lots of other things For my starter, I wanted to try the. Pate chaud, which is pate in a puff pastry, but unfortunately, they were out. Instead, I got a mini steamed bao bun, with fried chicken in the middle. For my banh mi, I ordered the egg, sausage, and pork loaf, but instead, I got the grilled pork and egg. I'm not going to take off any stars or anything, because hey, misunderstandings happen, and it was still an amazing sandwich. They gave me a number, and it was a short wait for my sandwich. Between the registers and the people making the sandwiches in back, it's like an assembly line operation. They are quick, and the prices are extremely reasonable. The sandwich was very large, The bread was still warm. I took the sandwich home, but I ate the bao bun on the way home. It was very good. The bun had a good consistency, and the chicken was excellent. Seasoned well, just the right amount of breading, and tender on the inside. When I got the banh mi home, that's when I discovered the mixup. But I enjoyed it just as much. The egg was fluffy, and the pork was excellent. . It was a little bit sweet, like a Char siu. The pork was also very tender. The veggies were fresh. There was generous Portions. I was only going to eat half, but it was so good, I ended up eating the whole thing.
