This is the worst experience I've ever had! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. All they do is take your money and not fix anything! Not only that, they then proceed to blame you for your car not running If it gives you problems the same day they give it back to you. I had to take my vehicle back 5 TIMES in 1 month JUST for my car to not work. They charged me $3,000 just for my car not to work! Maria is a real talker. My car stalled pulling out of their lot and they tried blaming me for it. It didn't even make it out of their lot! Greg's a top notch mechanic I had a pretty complicated confusing air conditioning problem that he properly diagnose after examining it three times I took it to a second shop for a second opinion they came to the same conclusion that needed a compressor so I scheduled the repairs at that shop unfortunately I don't think they're quite as competent as Greg Shop so Greg was right on the money in for me I should've stuck with Greg and just said thanks for the second opinion and schedule to work with him Thank you Greg for the great service proper diagnosis and honesty read more

The team at Luigi's were very quick and professional. I had to replace my car's AC and not only was the price fair but it was done same day. What really amazed me, while I was waiting for my car I ended up in the ER and ended up there for 2 days. They were very understanding and kept my car at the shop without charging me storage fees. Of course, I came in with my medical badge on to show that I wasn't trying to pull anything funny, but they were more worried about me than anything else. Let me start by saying I've been living in Phoenix for awhile now and I never really had a go-to mechanic. In Colorado, I always had one shop full of good ol' boys that would get the job done and that's all you needed. I've never could find that in Phoenix so far. That all changed today. My car wouldn't start this morning, so I had AAA tow it over to Jake's after seeing some of the reviews. I've sent other cars to other places in the area and they always rubbed me the wrong way whether it was the price, service or weird things like having dogs in the show room just running around (i'm allergic). I'm not a dog hater, but when I have to wait awhile for my car, it's either wait and get neck swelling or wait in 100 degree heat outside. Not for me.. That's why I called Jake's. From start to finish he took care of the whole situation and my car is running like a champ now. With all that said, he didn't charge the hell out of me when he could have knowing that I needed that car fixed that day. To me, that spoke volumes to what kind of guy he is and what kind of shop he runs. Very nice, work was done on time and as promised. But, two things: 1. They overfilled the oil on my oil change, had to re-do it a month later. 2. Mechanic left a pair of pliers in my engine. No joke. Found it during second oil change (see above). Bonus is I have a new pair of pliers. read more

I had a quote from another auto repair shop and almost had a heart attack. I decided to call Jakes Auto Repair. I spoke to Greg and based on that conversation, i decided to have him check out my 2006 Nissan Titan to confirm all the repairs i was quoted from the other shop. After looking at everything, Greg called me and explained that the only thing that was needed was brake fluid flush. That was a 2000.00 savings for me. I'm a single grandmother and i'm planning camping trips this summer to get out of the heat and i need an honest and competent mechanic in otder to my grandchildren and i safe. It's a long story but we went out of our way to use Jake's auto because of work they had done on our Corvette in the past. They are located about 10 miles from our house, so they are not conveniently located to us. In total, we wasted two weeks and over $400 with them because they were unable to fix our issue. We had our Cadillac towed to the shop due to a power steering issue. The error message had come on and the steering wheel was incredibly difficult to use. Jake's said it was an electric part issue and ordered and replaced the electric part for the power steering. All of this took about 4 days and we were told it was fixed. We took the car home but it was not fixed which is ultimately why they get the one star. It's not ok to have customers believe the car is fixed when it's not. The error message for the power steering never cleared and it was obvious to anyone it was not fixed. We returned it to the shop. They examined it again and determined it needed to go to the dealership. I took the car to another trusted shop near our house. They were able to determine it was an alternator issue and fix it all on the same day! Needless to say, we will not be returning to Jake's Auto and don't recommend you go there either. read more

These are 2 new males who bought it off Jake within 4-5 yrs. is what one of the guys told me. They did an oil change the 1st time I went, then a coolant flush the 2nd time. AND NEVER AGAIN!! Please BEWARE taking your vehicle here!!! Dishonest people! Women, take everything out of your car. AND men also... they stole some classic CD's out of my car. It was them, as I forgot to take them out the night before & the next day I went on a trip the next morning. I went to plug one in the player & find them GONE! They weren't stolen at my home as I have a RING doorbell & shows every movement. So what do you have to say for yourself guys?? A...N...D, My cabin filter was gone that I had installed myself. I haven't felt good about one of the mechanics, Warren, but they're both in cahoots together. Greg backs him up. He gave me a bad feeling. I didn't trust him from the start! I did nothing to him but be nice. Warren even asked me if I was married!! What the 'H_ _ _ does that have to do with my car??? Of course, he's going to say, "I did not"! That's none of his business! I had NEVER been asked that at a repair shop! Greg proceeds to tell me, it couldn't be Warren, as he has everything on bluetoothe, whatever and I was with him the whole time.. No, he wasn't! A few times, he comes in & works on the computer for quite awhile, while Waren is out in the garage where my car is. He could have given my CD's to his folks or friends, etc., etc. I'm NOT stupid!! The police agreed with me! I have never been violated like this at a mechanics place of business!! Nervy!! you can't trust ANYONE!! I wouldn't review this place but I have to click on '1' star.. don't know what his problem was but I did Nothing to him but be a customer. and why he picked on me - I have no idea! The owner Greg and the mechanic Warren did a fantastic job with my car. I know a little about cars, and not once did they try to up sale me on something I didn't need. I went somewhere else and got a quote that was extremely high for me im a mom of 3 and Jake fixed it for half the price even took the time to show me the parts he took off and how bad they were. The reviews are true. I took my 2006 Durango to Jake's besed on these Yelp Reviews and i am happy to say It's all true. I have found my new mechanic! First I had to pick myself up off the floor when Jake himself answered the phone. He has a great spirit about him. So friendly with good old fashioned handshake type customer service. He gave me a price over the phone and ordered the part (Alternator) so that it would be there by the time I arrived. When I did arrive, there was an open bay waiting for me. He did the job right away. was so pleased I asked him to replace my windshield wiper motor as well in that same visit. Never did he try to sell me on things i didnt need. He just fixes what you ask for at a very reasonable price and does it well. I was so happy about my experienceI brought my wife in to meet our new friend. I was given Jake's Auto Repair Service as a recommendation to fix a problem my dad's usual garage told him about and I didn't trust. I communicated with one of the guys (Warren or Greg) and I met my dad at Jake's the next day; they checked out the car and said they could see a small leak but as long as the car is running fine and dad doesn't find any oil in the coolant reservoir, or coolant in the oil (on dip stick), nothing needs to be changed at this time for what little he drives it. This saved him/us over $1,000. The "$750" from the other garage is standard to get you in the door, to get your business, then it gets stupid from there; which I learned a lot after having a conversation with one of the mechanics at this new garage and everything made sense. This garage gives you an estimate of what it could be and if they find out they didn't need all the parts quoted, it brings down your bill, which makes us all happy. about 4 months ago we took my daughter in law"s jeep wragler to jakes auto repair to have four new shocks put on. when we came back to pick the jeep i asked jake how things went. he told me he had some problems with the rear shocks, the bolts were rusted but they got the shocks in. we paid our bill and left. then about two weeks ago my daughter called me and said that the jeep was bouncing in the rear and the handling was terrible. here was also a rattle in the rear of the jeep, shock was banging on the frame. she took the jeep to her own shop and i couldn't believe what she told me. it seems jakes shop tack welded the shock to the mount. instead of telling me he had to replace a mount and new bolts they tack welded the shock in place. my daughter's auto shop fixed this with a new shock mount and bolt. i have pictures of where they were welded. I am very disapointed in jake and his guy. I have been a customer for some time and trusted them. no more. will never go back. read more
