A large crackling fire welcomed us into a cozy lobby, where we enjoyed a cup of tea in the 16th century reception.
Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, cooked to order, both with options for traditional Scottish dishes. We had an early travel day planned planned and ordered our breakfast the night before, when we arrived downstairs our table was set and waiting for us, our breakfast out within moments. Everyone we encountered was so kind and welcoming, you can tell this is a family that pours a lot of love and pride into their business.
On our last night we were lucky enough to enjoy a Scottish whisky tasting with John! I was so impressed with his knowledge, I learned so much about whisky and Scotland.
The parking lot was very spacious, rooms comfortable with a few little quirks due to the building being HUNDREDS of years old, which completely added to the charm.
