This time I asked Jeremiah to replace 2 exterior garage carriage lights, 3 exterior door lights, and install a ring door bell camera. Just like the first time we used 2A, Jeremiah showed up promptly on the scheduled time and installed everything without any issues. The fact we hired them twice in a matter of 2 months should be a testament to the great work, but in case it's not, I echo my first review. Prompt replies, good price, great service. Also a bonus he's a veteran (thank you for your service). Plain and simple, 2A is reliable, does great work, trustworthy, honest, and fair pricing. We wouldn't hesitate to use Jeremiah again, and no doubt we'll have work again I'm sure.

This is a fact I wished hadn't slipped my mind, but I'll get back to this story in a bit. Back to Cortez- Cortez Electric was my first call and he was available the same day, earning him two stars because I do appreciate promptness. He had the light working and was out of the door within a couple of minutes. 2-3 minutes max. I was surprised by the call stating he was done, because I was just notified that he made it. The end cost to "reset the outlet" was $75 per minute!!!After paying the requested $150 via Venmo, I shared my opinion with him, writing, "for two minutes of work, you could have charged less as you have the discretion to do so". This interaction made me recall the exact same situation years ago with BPS Electric, who unfortunately no longer service residential clients. Unlike Cortez Electric, BPS Electric opted to not to charge anything after being in and out in a few minutes. I have attached my past BPS review. I'm not saying Cortez Electric does not have a right to charge whatever he wants. I'm not requesting "charity" as he suggested. I paid immediately because I have no problem paying for a service. What I am saying is that $150 is an excessive charge to reset an outlet which is effortless. At best you could have allowed utilization of the fullime you insisted to be paid for, more could have been done. This review is important because I know for a fact that there are honest business out there that would have taken a different more customer-centered approach. U

My Yelp search ultimately led me to Tracy (Trace) Roberts at Electric Empire, whom I hired for a…read moreproject that I had long imagined doing with the help of a qualified professional. Over a period of three days, Trace and his assistant proceeded to make child's play of an upgrade that most electricians might have declined given the number of special features I was seeking (whole house surge suppression, dedicated lines, noise suppression, ground conditioners and more). While I had reached out to other good people and received quotes from several companies, only Trace took the time to research the specialty items on my list and to follow up with many good suggestions. When all was complete, my project sailed through inspection with the City of Benicia and the low noise results we achieved in my home confirmed my decision to go with the highly competitive quote I received from Electric Empire. All in all, my experience with Trace was one of professionalism and excellence (from the drywall openings and panel workmanship to the communication and invoicing). During this time, I got to know Trace as an accomplished electrician and good guy. If he says your special project can be done, you can have faith that it will happen, and exactly as he explains. Therefore, Electric Empire and Trace the man, receive my highest recommendation for integrity and workmanship! By the way, the panel upgrade itself was completed in just one day and power was restored with not a hiccup or glitch to follow. Needless to say, I'm a happy customer and will trust Electric Empire for future electrical needs in my home.
