Cute little coffee spot downstairs of an office building. It's beautiful inside, with comfy seating. They also have an outdoor area where you're surrounded by plants! Really nice and calming. The baristas were great, and very helpful when I was decided what I wanted. They have seasonal drinks, so it was nice of them to recommend some of the favorites and most popular. Great coffee, service and space! Barista had great technique and service. Soy flat white came out perfectly and looked nice. I appreciate the both being able to taste the beans through the soy milk and the design. Im obsessed with lighter single origin roasts in my flat white but the espresso blend they use here was great and made a tasty cup. I really attribute it to the artful skill of the barista because lately everyone's been screwing up temperature and foam, but he got it right. Space is also warm and cozy, good music, good vibe. I used to come here every day when we lived around the corner. It had the best Americano in the LES. Super cool spot with an eclectic play list. I haven't been here in a couple of years and was overjoyed they made it through Covid and are still going strong. The Americano still rocks. read more

Cute coffee shop and vintage apparel shop combo with a laid back vibe. Dropped by on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm and it started out pretty empty though got crowded soon after. Ordering is at the counter in the front and you pick up drinks around the side. I placed my order for a flat white with oat, grabbed a seat, chatted with my friend for 5 min, went back to the counter and the barista told me they just made the drink but apparently someone else had grabbed it, thankfully they were quick to make another. This place was located directly across from my hotel. The service was quick, I ordered just a drip, so I can't give you any advice on their other coffees, however the coffee was good. I will not mind coming back if I ever stay in the area again. read more

One of the better chai lattes! You can taste the spice and chai herbs. You couldn't adjust the sugar level but it wasn't overly sweet. Get it with oat milk for a silky finish. My husband got their double espresso over ice and whip. He said it was one of the best. Good spot for chai and espresso after getting some bagels from Russ & Daughter. read more

It was so convenient having Ludlow Coffee Supply be right next door to the Ludlow Hotel where I was staying. While working, I would swing by for an afternoon matcha. The drink was consistently rich and flavorful each time. I ordered the Bourbon Vanilla Latte on another occasion but was not a huge fan. I left it for the hubby to drink later in the day. All in all, the walk over to Ludlow Coffee Supply made for a quick pit stop for a delicious Iced Matcha. Cheers! read more

Very average coffee shop. Will fill the need if you are close or staying at the hotel, but not a coffee shop to seek out. Only a couple seats in the place, so not a spot to work if you are looking for that. It's a grab and go spot. They typically have croissants and cookies and banana bread or something similar. None of it is fresh or made in house. It's fine if you need caffeine. A Thai iced coffee and chocolate croissant cost me $11 with tax. Seems about right for Ny. read more

There were a lot of people on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm and well throughout opening hours. The bourbon vanilla latte was pretty good. Initially the vanilla was very subtle. However, it got much sweeter as I got to the bottom of the drink. Not sure if the flavoring was mixed well, or it just naturally sinks. Other than that, I enjoyed it. Grabbed a seat at the bar table to get some work done. There is free wifi. Not all the outlets work, but there are a decent amount. There isn't that much seating available as the back area is the HQ for Sweet Chick. Even though there isn't a restroom in the cafe, the barista told us we could just use Sweet Chick's restroom. read more

Stopped by Ludlow on the last morning of our visit to NYC a couple weeks ago to visit our daughter. I ordered a hot mocha with oat milk and it was excellent -- one of the best I've ever had. Don't remember what my wife and daughter got, but they enjoyed their drinks too. Icing on the cake were the vegan cinnamon roll and maple bun that we bought to take along with us on the flight back to San Diego. Let's just say that we devoured them before we got on the airplane -- they were very tasty! Our new coffee go-to when we stay in the LES. read more

Not a bad place to post up and study. The coffee is a little better than average and they don't have much by way of specialty drinks. I got the one that was like a bourbon latte, which was interestingly not too sweet and had this subtle boldness that went along with the coffee. Not bad but. It super memorable for me personally. It's a small space so may be tough getting a table and no bathroom either. May stop by for a quick cup of Joe on my way through the neighborhood ! I haven't written a review on yelp in years but my unfortunate experience at this coffee shop made me come out of hibernation. Went here for a cappuccino and they used spoiled milk... it was made in a rush and the foam was completely messed up. The coffee tasted weird while I was drinking it but I wrote it off as a fluke... perhaps they just burned the coffee a bit. An hour later my stomach started to feel awful. I hadn't eaten anything else that morning (I typically skip breakfast and just have a coffee) so I knew it had to be the coffee. Given the weirdness with the foam and the taste, it had to have been bad milk. I had bad stomach pains for 2 days before things started to feel normal again. Apparently spoiled milk is poisonous... There are tons of other great coffee shops in the area.. walk a couple more blocks and go to those. read more

Even with my hemming and hawing at the register due to an acquaintance not being sure what she wanted. It wasn't many options in the area so it was nice to have this option so close to my pickup location for the wine tour I went to. read more

I usually like to stay in the LES when I'm in NY and I've visited this place many times and usually enjoy it a lot. The other day 2 male baristas were working and I ordered an iced latte and they didn't call out my name or even call out my drink properly (I think he said Iced cappuccino) so I didn't pay attention and they just kept talking to each other for a few minutes and I finally got up because I was like "these guys sure are talking a lot where's my drink?" and then I saw a drink on the counter and asked the guy is that mine and he was like "yeah". I had been not 6 feet away this entire time and he could have easily been like - "hey sir your drink is right here" but he didn't even bother as he didn't give a crap clearly. Just realized in that moment how lacking their customer service is - they were more occupied about gabbing to each other than being helpful to a customer who was waiting for their coffee. read more

I stopped by Ludlow Coffee Supply in Manhattan and ordered a small hot chocolate. While a bit on the pricey side for its size, $4 + some change, it was totally worth it taste and texture wise! I ordered it with oat milk and it was very creamy and flavorful. It tasted similar to a mocha and was nice and hot on a cool day. As an added bonus, the cashier asked if I wanted a free baked good on the house and I chose a blueberry muffin, which I ate for breakfast the next morning. I got them to go, but they have space to sit down and relax/work too. Definitely worth a stop for all my fellow hot chocolate enthusiasts! read more

I go in for a coffee on 10/26 and order an 8oz latte and it was delicious, staff was welcoming, cute little spot to finish my coffee. It was such a good experience I went back on 10/27 early morning and ordered an 8oz latte where the barista told me only cappuccinos come in 8oz and I said this wasn't a problem yesterday, I was generally confused as I have been ordering coffee before this barista was born but I also don't want to be rude at 8am. Then the other barista jumped in to tell me the difference was the milk. I said I would just like a latte but in the smaller cup. They both stopped engaging at that point. We paid and waited. The drinks were ready and called two 8oz cappuccinos (wow, the need to triple down on this was rude I can't even) and then I see NO foam. So you made me a cappuccino because I wanted 8 oz but you made a latte. I'm very happy to have the drink I wanted but baffled By the wildly unnecessary attitude. It was not a cappuccino. They need customer service training in a bad way. I love nyc because usually people are super cool about coffee especially. So if you want an 8oz maybe cappuccino or a 12 oz latte this pace is for you. If you have anything else in mind maybe skip the free condescension. read more

I visited this cute little cafe after getting tattooed around the corner. It had a nice vibe, great lighting and good customer service. I ordered a limited edition Almond Spice latte and it was quite tasty. Tasted just as it sounds. Pretty solid coffee shop. My group came here for some drinks after eating Russ & Daughters bagels. I ordered a matcha latte. It wasn't too sweet and it had an authentic matcha flavor. Nothing too special though. There was indoor and outdoor seating. Starting at 12pm, the outdoor seating is reserved for Sweet Chick next door. This is my "go to" coffee in NYC LES. I'm not a connoisseur so I can't opine on whether this is just good, great or amazing coffee . But I love it . But there's something about the simple physical set up that seems to generate interesting conversations and I've met several interesting folks over the years while coming and going. Simply as a coffee spot to work out of, there aren't many better options. There is appropriate seating (~15 spots with good wifi & availability of outlets). I got a matcha latte with oat milk for $5 which is an unbeatable price here. There are bathrooms at Sweet Chick, the restaurant next door. The barista was nice as I was the last one there nearing to close, and he didn't disturb me as I was working away in the corner. Solid spot that I'd love to come back to. read more

Decent coffee shop in the LES. There are about 10 seats inside, but some outside seating as well. A lot of empty standing space though, which felt a bit underutilized lol. Very quiet inside though - both in terms of chatter and music. Not sure if they have wifi, but there were people working with laptops. Coffee was decent, nothing special. Got a maple latte for $6, but couldn't taste any maple in it so that was a tad disappointing. It tasted just like my friend's regular latte. read more

Came here immediately after flying in and needed some caffeine to keep me up from the red eye flight. Thanks to Yelp, I found this coffee shop that is near Russ and Daughters. Absolutely cute with an old school mixed with modern feel, the front looks like it would be small but the seating area extends to the back. We were lucky enough to grab the seating in the window and it was a perfect first time experience. Staff was friendly and efficient and I had a delicious maple latte. My visit was a week before COVID19 Shelter-in-Place was instilled so I am not sure what their operation is like right now. I do know that i will be visiting this spot soon if I am in the city again. read more

The interior itself is antique, quaint, and there's minimal (but some!) seating for you to enjoy your tea at. One of my favorite parts of this shop is that their tea menu is all around the shop, right on their walls. So, you walk around the shop, look at the different teas (organized by type, caffinated/non-caffinated), smell them, and read the labels. I had a lot of fun doing this! Their prices are good and their teas are amazing. Definitely a cool experience!

Never heard of tongmu lapsang but Google says it's a type of smoked black tea from China. The drink had notes of hazelnut in it. I never had a nutty, chocolatey tea flavor combo before so it was refreshing to taste.

I ordered an iced matcha einspanner ($6.95) with oat milk ($0.75) and loved that it already comes with a shot of espresso, so it was essentially a dirty matcha einspanner. I tried each layer on its own before mixing everything together and it was all really good. The matcha cream is the right amount of sweet and creamy and you can taste the matcha with just a hint of coffee. Since I'm a coffee fiend I added a bit more espresso when I got back to the hotel and it tasted even better while still keeping the matcha as the dominant flavor. Next time I would ask for less ice since it was freezing that morning, but on a warmer day the ice level would be perfect. I've worked in restaurants and bars long enough to understand that staff drinking happens, but this was on another level entirely. I came in with a group of friends and one of the bartenders, Will, was so visibly drunk that it made the entire experience uncomfortable. Slurred speech, wobbling behind the bar, taking orders while chewing food with his mouth open -- it was honestly embarrassing to watch. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there. At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.
