Horrible experience. The receptionist sucks ! She's very rude. Walked in said good morning she didn't even acknowledge the fact I was standing in front of her. I waited for her 10 minutes to finish off her phone call so I sat down, then someone else walked in she made them wait as well, after she was done she completely ignored the fact I was there first and asked the lady that came in after how can she help, I get it I sat down and should of stood there standing for 20 minutes just for her to even take a look at me. This is honestly the worst patient care I have received. The doctor is not willing to answer questions and cuts you off and gets defensive whenever you are trying to voice a concern. I wanted to make sure I understood exactly what each medication was for but he wasn't willing to explain. I even asked for side effects of the medication but I had to ask him three different times to get a somewhat clear answer. He prescribed me birth control without even telling me it was birth control. The only way I found out was because I googled the names of the medications. When I called to ask him about it he denied it and simply said he discussed every medication with me (not true) all the while by cutting me off when I tried to say something. The woman at the front desk is very rude and doesn't even acknowledge your presence and when she does , she seems annoyed just at the fact that you are there. The nurse (Evelyn) she is very kind , sweet, helpful and answer all your questions . The doctor .... he has a very calm demeanor , but he was basically pushing me to self diagnose , even though I brought documents from the hospital and I was there for a routine pat smear. I asked him some questions and he gave very confusing answers , he ended up contradicting himself and underestimated my problem . The hospital told me one thing ( after running multiple tests) yet he is telling me something different without running any test .I left confused and eager to get a second opinion . Best gynecologist ever! It's so easy to make appointments, easy to check your results online in your own page. The place is beautiful inside, and clean. It's pretty small but there's always seats. The wait is not long if you come a little earlier before your appt time. The gynecologist is super chill and easy to talk to. He answers all your questions and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. When you're new, he helps your create your profile on his website to check your refills and results. The office is really clean and there's always someone with him if you feel like you are not comfortable being with the gyn alone. If you have PCOS please do not go to him. All he will do is tell you you are fat and prescribe you crap. At first I liked him until a paps smear came back abnormal. We did the following step and after that he never called back to let me know about the results of the biopsy, had the girl in the front call me saying I was all good. I went somewhere else for a second opinion and basically was told he missed a second type of biopsy. Just so disappointed. When it comes to PCOS, he clearly has no education on it, has not updated himself. The metformin he kept prescribing made me sick, I told him , and did not care. Did not explain how to take the medicine, I stopped taking the birth control pills and then got mad because the birth control pills had to be taken with another medicine he prescribed. Clearly he is not clear, always rushing, and giving minimal explanations. Now It seems like COVID-19 doesn't exist to that office. He was not wearing a mask at all, and now that I think about it that is just horrible. The tiny waiting area they have might hav fancy furniture but it's full of people, pregnant people, on top of each other. It is crazy. Where to start? How about in the summer of 2020 when I came for my annual appointment, which I was hesitant to do because of Covid, the entire staff and Dr. Cherenfant weren't wearing masks. His office in Jackson Heights is in the epicenter of the epicenter, where only a few months earlier the entire community was traumatized by our neighbors and loved ones succumbing to Covid, with ambulance sirens heard throughout the day taking our friends and family to Elmhurst Hospital, and not a mask could be found. As a patient, he never looked at my chart before hand, I always found him to be rushed, and extremely bad about giving the proper context to understand his statements. During and after every visit, I was flustered, confused, and never got to address all the subjects I wanted to address as a middle-aged woman quickly approaching menopause with a long and difficult history with fibroids. Why did the recommendation for timeline to remove a hormonal IUD go from 5 years to "no it doesn't need to be removed now, they last a long time,"? Don't know! Couldn't get a word in edgewise, and he failed to notice (or care) that I was flustered and confused. After prescribing me the mini-pill for 5+ years, suddenly at one visit he said "you shouldn't be on that medication long-term," and failed to clarify what "long-term" meant because for me, 5 years is long term! When I came in for a yearly visit and once again my chief concern was that my uterine fibroids seemed to becoming more symptomatic, he asked "no history of uterine fibroids?" Excuse me? You mean other than the history of uterine fibroids and the painful surgery to remove several, documented on your charts? After ordering an ultrasound to get a fresh look at what was going on with the fibroids - the first one ordered in over six years - when I contacted him to ask if he had reviewed the scans or report, I got the run around. No confirmation that had even looked at them, and he mixed them up with a CT scan a general surgeon had ordered (which of course had not been sent to Dr. Cherenfant) to see if I had a hernia. So here I am with what was initially thought to be a lower abdominal hernia that appeared only days after Cherenfant's ultrasound, and he won't even confirm he looked at the scans. My guess is he didn't. I have zero confidence in Dr. Cherenfant and the only reason I remained in his care for so long was because his office is conveniently located to me. I suspect the lower abdominal bulge is related to my fibroids, but Dr. Cherenfant has been such an unhelpful doctor I would rather get my scans and files and seek a new doctor to review. I worry I'm going to need a hysterectomy, and the last doctor I want involved in making that determination is Dr. Lucot Cherenfant. read more

Dr. Cherenfant is amazing! He is always patient and is always concerned with your well being (eg. The first question he asks is always are you happy.) and he will never let you worry about anything that's not necessary. My delivery went amazingly smooth under Dr. Cherenfant's care, everything was right on schedule as he predicted. I was literally quivering when I was assigned to other doctors before Dr. Cherenfant arrives, and once he came into the delivery room I was relived because I know everything will be taken care of by him. Ive been going to the doctor since 2015 and I felt I somewhat trust him but not completely. During that time he always asked me if I want to go on birth control and I said no because I never had to use it at all because it's my personal preference. A year ago he diagnosed me with PCOS and told me I had to go on three medications to treat this. I asked him about PCOS to give me some information he was so rude And just printing out the information and just told me to look up online. I asked him if there were other options on medications such as birth control metaformin and I am not sure about the other medication he said no I have to take these medications. I took the birth control as instructed and the other two medications and one that I remember it was called metformin (might spelled it wrong). I told him that this medication was making me feel sick and I explain all my symptoms and he still told me I have to take it no matter what. I stop taking these and I felt so much better. I returned to him this year for my second six-month PCOS check up and he did nothing but just be rude. He basically said you're fat and just prescribed me with a bunch of medications that I don't need and that there was no other options for me. From that moment I knew I need to find another doctor and I did. The other Doctor Who I'm currently seeing has taken care of the situation and will handle it properly and give me so much information about PCOS however he is going to do my whole exam again to make sure that I do have PCOS, not that I'm in denial about it but I will like a second opinion. Do not go to this doctor because he is highly rude and doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. You want a good relationship with your doctor, not saying to be best friends with him but to respect you, meet your needs and to TRUST HIM or her. When I went to the other doctor I completely trust him he gave me all the right information and I am currently waiting for my results. Not only that this doctor told me I have to do an annual check up such as my Pap smear, bloodwork, urine this doctor Lucot is full of SHIT! He did not put me in the right direction to help me treat this at all, all he did was gave me medication and just rushed me out of his office and honestly, now that I met with another Doctor Who I feel comfortable with, I'm kind of scare how my results are coming out because if I have to do my annual every year doctor Lucot was putting me in harms way and thats not how a doctor should be with their patients at all. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. ALL HE IS GOING TO DO IS BE RUDE TO YOU AND PRESCRIBE WITH USELESS SHIT THAT IS NOT GOING TO HELP YOU AT ALL AND JUST IS AFTER YOUR MONEY!!! read more

AMAZING!!!! A wonderful doctor who is patient, understanding and knowledgeable and he goes Above and Beyond to make sure you're comfortable, happy and reassured by everything. He always has a smile on his face which puts me at ease yet he takes your concerns seriously. The office is VERY clean and chic. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seen no matter how many people are there and Dr. Cherenfant ALWAYS answers all my questions and takes the time to genuinely inquire on how I'm doing. Recommended to me by another amazing Doctor, I feel blessed to be under Dr. Cherenfant's care. His staff is very professional yet down to earth and amicable. They always call back and they're prompt with everything - even after hours - it's actually impressive. The sonographer Gerthy is also a gem! I loved Dr. Cherenfant when I became his patient five years ago. Somewhere along the line something went wrong. I would always be seen no later than ten minutes after my appointment time. Recently I had a very early appointment at 8am on Saturday. I got there at 7:45 am and was let in by the nurse, who was not wearing a mask. At 7:50 am the receptionist came in and sat at her chair and called the doctor to let him know I was there and waiting. At 8am the nurse calls me inside, takes my vitals and tells me I can wait in one of the examination rooms and that the doctor is on his way. She said she would come in and let me know when to change into the gown. By 8:25 I was starting to get annoyed. By 8:35 I was furious and at 8:45 the nurse comes in and proceeds to adjust the computer monitor. I ask her if the doctor made it in and she just shakes her head. I then ask if she has any idea when he's going to show up and she said, "No I don't but you know how doctors are." . I finally let go and tell her a thing or two about the doctors lack of respect for his patients. Then I ask her why she's not wearing a mask. She tells me she has antibodies !!! Antibodies are not a guarantee that she is immune for life I tell her. So, I grabbed my jacket and started to walk out. Now, the waiting area was jammed packed with waiting women one on top of the other. There was obviously no social distancing being enforced. I then noticed that the receptionist was also not wearing a mask. It's one thing when people are selfish and refuse to wear masks, but to witness a doctors office not following COVID protocol is entirely a different level of appalling. Does he not care about his patients health ??? Needless to say I will never go there again and will start researching other doctors. It seems he got cozy and cushy and doesn't care if he makes his patients wait endlessly for him. Overbooking and the money is what's important now. Goodbye Dr. Cherenfant. read more

Dr. Cherenfant was excellent. After running around and looking for the right gynecologist I think I found the one. It was my first time with a male gynecologist but I felt super comfortable. He was very very thorough when explaining information that I needed to know and that most doctors just skip over because it's 'basic'. I got all my test done at the office and there was no rush. All my questions were answered and I was provided with extra information that was very useful. I appreciated that Dr. Cherenfant was not quick to prescribe medication until he was sure of a diagnosis. He also acknowledges that every women's anatomy is different. Staff were professional and kind. No attitudes like you would find in most offices. The setting is clean and bright, very welcoming. Waiting time is nothing to worry about. With all of that said my visit with Dr. Cherenfant was successful. Really recommend him for all the women who feel like they need someone to listen , really listen. Peace&Light. read more

I know some women aren't comfortable with male gynecologists but I have to say he is the best gynecologist I have ever experienced. He's kind, gentle, knowledgeable and compassionate. The esthetic of his office is also absolutely beautiful and always pristine clean. I've never had to wait. Appointments are always kept and on time. Dr Cherenfant played a big role in my miscarriage. I will always hate him and I can't help but feel that. I was fine and started to notice I had symptoms of BV and without checking me or doing a actual culture he gave metro gel and I started to take it as he said I should. As soon as I took it I started to bleed, and I called and his assistants. They picked up and I asked what should I do (as you should if you experience anything wrong while being pregnant) she told me the docter said it is normal to bleed while being pregnant and I should continue the metro gel. After the second day I kept on bleeding and I started to feel cramps so I called again this time the assistant told me she would call me back and after a hour of waiting I called and she gave me attitude and said she told me she would call me back .... SHE NEVER CALLED. so I went later on to the hospital and ended up having a miscarriage there. Later on I called after to talk to the docter about him being negligent and asked about my blood results he said they were still pending! I am so sad how are you a docter and without doing a actual checkup prescribe something also knowing my blood work was not cleared yet ,you said it was "normal" to bleed, and to make it worse nobody called me back to reach out and tell me something had to be done. The only thing is that before my procedure I didn't eat anything and I almost passed out. This doctor is very knowledgeable and explains everything thoroughly. The office is very clean and beautiful. My only issues were the waiting time and the doctor's bedside manners. He rushed through my examination and when I asked him about birth control and tried to explain that I take medication for an autoimmune disease, he just dismissed me and told me that we would talk about that when my blood and sonogram results were in. He seemed very condescending at some points when explaining my results, he acted like a teacher talking at me and asking me questions like a little child. It made me feel like it was my fault that I needed his medical services or that it was an inconvenience that I did not already know everything there is about my medical condition when I did not even know I had it before seeing him. Also, his accent is very heavy and I had some difficulty understanding what he was explaining. However, he did repeat himself when I asked him to. Another thing that bothered me was that as soon as he shook my hand, he immediately went to apply hand sanitizer. I understand that all doctors must do this in order to avoid the spread of diseases but the way he did it made it seem like he thought I was dirty. I might give this doctor one more chance before I change to another one but from the way he talked at me and made me feel, I wouldn't feel comfortable with having him as my gynecologist for when I decide to have kids. read more
