I…read morefound out I was pregnant and was having symptoms that can be considered normal for most but felt off for me. I called the office for an emergency appointment, and the receptionist informed me that I was no longer a patient, and my account had been frozen. When I inquired about this, she told me that I was a no-show for two appointments. I asked for the appointment dates, because I never received a reminder or follow up call. Nor did I receive any notification that I wasn't a patient. Come to find out, they had the wrong phone number on file for me. Despite it being their error, I was told that the doctor was the only one authorized to put me in the system and they guaranteed me a call back. Four weeks later, while constantly searching for appointments and patiently waiting to see new doctors, I miscarried. It was a brutal and complicated 5-week process. I never heard from Dr. Robinson. I have other family and friends who visit her office and when they informed her of my situation. She was shocked and apparently was never informed that I was denied an appointment. Life happens so I moved on to new practice. A little over a year later and two years since my last appointment with Dr. Robinson, I get an email telling me I owe payments for appointments from 2022 (it's 2025) and that this first notice is also my final notice with the threat of collections. When I tried to get more information on the phone, the receptionist/front desk staff was extremely nasty. She just kept saying they had a new system and all old balances were being billed now. I shared that the experience is just disappointing, because the communication is insensitive and unclear. She abruptly shut me down and said she was let the doctor know and asked if there was anything else, before hanging up. ZERO decorum or sensitivity training. The proper response would have been to express understanding for the frustration, apologize on behalf of the office and explain exactly what the expenses were for. Just an acknowledgement of the inconvenience of the situation, because by the way; payment needed to be made in-person! I took two trips to the office to resolve this, because the entire office closes at lunch time (another failure in communication...and it was 2 pm by the way). When I finally made it to the office, I told the woman at the front desk that I received a letter for a balance owed and I was there to pay the bill. Dr. Robinson was there and walked away while saying she didn't understand what was wrong with the billing system (that was comforting). The young lady at the desk did not even acknowledge me or look in my direction. She just said okay and I waited there. after giving her my name. I finally asked if she needed my date of birth any other info and she said, the letter you received should have the amount you owe listed. I responded that yes, I was aware of the balance but figured she needed to pull up the record on her end to clear the balance. She was extremely rude and dismissive. She handed me a receipt after I paid and I asked her to confirm that I was all set and my account was closed. She said she I still had an account and I reiterated the issue from years ago and even mentioned the miscarriage. She didn't even look my way. She said, "Okay it's closed now, anything else?" I left there fighting the urge to burst into tears out of anger over how dismissive and rude she is. If I can give Dr. Robinson one piece of advice, it would be to get rid of that female staff member at the reception desk....the one with the very full lashes. The office has its logistics issues, but when you have staff who multiply the issues and add fuel to the fire it's way worse. Even with all of the issues, I would have returned to this office had it not been for the front desk and I know others with similar experiences who are moving to other offices as well.

He is very thorough, knowledgeable and intuitive. Dr Loucopoulos is also a professor at Columbia University and has a wealth of experience. He is very patient, answers to questions clearly, openly and honestly, and I have never felt rushed in his office. I really appreciate his taking as much time as necessary to get to the root of the problem before coming up with a diagnosis. This is very rare today. That said, he might seem a bit "old-school" and slow-paced to some but I actually like that about him. He is not very talkative but is genuinely warm and caring and seems interested in his patients' health. (This, too, is very rare today.) He does explain everything to you before, during and after procedures. His receptionist is also very nice and genuinely friendly. Other physicians with similar credentials only seem to cater for the rich and famous of Fifth Avenue, so I am glad that Dr. Loucopoulos takes insurance (I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield) and common patients... :) There is, sometimes, a little wait in his office but I'd rather wait knowing that he would spend as much time with me as necessary than be seen on time and rushed out in 20 mins... Highly recommended.

They have a wonderful toll-free number and it makes the place seem like a wonderful group of doctors. There is no mention of Dr. David Zargaroff on the website. Website also only references abortion/aspiration services and does not offer further details. I called to request a standard OBGYN checkup - std check, IUD in place, healthy sexual organs yadda yadda. Made an appointment two weeks prior for opening time (10AM). The first sign you see is a "no eating or drinking sign" Staff behind the desk munching on very strong-smelling Burger King. Very rude reception. Waved a finger and told a VERY pregnant woman to go to room 2. Where is a nurse to walk her or show where it is? Bedside manner of staff is lacking and facilities are small and basic. I showed up at 9:50AM. The doctor arrives in the clinic late at 10:20AM. By the way, the website also says "Run by women for women" - so wow was I surprised when the doctor was a man. Sees one woman who arrived PRIOR to myself and 2 parties who arrived AFTER (a mail woman with whom is probably a regular and a couple who was... "late" for their appointment?) I love this place - I've been coming here for routine OBGYN check ups since moving out of Manhattan…read morein to Astoria and it's been very convenient. I'm usually in the waiting room for a short period of time. The facilities are clean and the staff is great. This place is TINY. I think they recently hired their third employee - a medical assistant named Grace but before her it was only Dr. Spyropoulos and Eleni there doing everything! I think this is why they have some clerical hiccups occasionally. I've had two issues and one was a billing issue and the other is with their phones. I've tried calling the office before to have it ring busy for hours. And it would be a Tuesday at 3PM - not a strange hour at all! They must not have an answering machine or call waiting which seems cheap and outdated for a business nowadays but I will put up with these issues because of how friendly and professional the staff is. Like I said before, I think they only have 3 employees. Also, they only accept cash. Half the time I come here I'm running in from work and the office is not near any banks so I've gotten in the habit of remembering now but it would just be so much more convenient if they accepted all major credit cards and/or accepted checks.
