Because I didn't want to deal with out-of-network insurance fees I decided to come here. Honestly I had an almost great experience at this location. So far I've had 3 appointments here for an ultrasound and below are my experiences: Appointment one: greeted with a smile, receptionist explained all the documents. I took about 30 minutes to fill out the documents, went to the bathroom, and 5 minutes later the technician called me be seen. Total time there: 1 hour. Appointment two: greeted with a smile, joked a bit with the receptionist. It was a 5 minute check-in. Unfortunately waited about an hour to be seen. Total time there 2 hours (extra hour was because my baby was stubborn and didn't want to be seen). Appointment three: greeted with a smile. Check-in was 5 minutes. Waited about 45 minutes until called. Total time there: 2 hours (once again, baby was being annoying) Complain (reason why it's not a 5 star rating): place is super clean, equipment seems very modern, rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The only thing I didn't like is that out of the 3 technicians I saw only was of them was super nice. The rest were a bit mean at times and had a lack of bedside manner. Perhaps they're tired, perhaps they've done this so many times but they fail to know that we, as first time mom's are incredibly scared and intimidated by this tiny unborn powerful being. I wish they were more caring and considerate. They do a good job for sure because my doctor was happy with the results; he got everything he needed, but...please ladies be nicer, especially to those who is their first time.

My wife has been a patient at Northwell Health Physician Partners Maternal Fetal Health, Obstetrics…read moreand Gynecology at Rego Park, and our experience has been incredibly frustrating. Her appointments were canceled multiple times without any communication from the clinic, which was highly inconvenient and stressful, especially given the nature of maternal fetal health. On one occasion, after a cancellation, we discovered she had been rescheduled for another appointment, but we were never notified of this new date or time. When we proactively called them to try and sort out the scheduling and reschedule, we were told they would call us back. That callback never came. This consistent lack of communication and follow-through is deeply concerning and unacceptable from a healthcare provider. It has made us feel completely disregarded and has severely impacted our confidence in their administrative processes. We strongly urge them to improve their communication and organizational systems for the sake of their patients.

But I put up with all of this just so I can see her. Eveytime I go she makes me feel heard, understood and takes the time to answer all of my questions- she's very knowledgeable. Shes an angel. I visited this practice over a year ago to confirm a pregnancy. Since it was very early, the doctor…read moreasked me to come in multiple times over the next two weeks to "confirm" the pregnancy, which seemed excessive. Each visit included a urine test, internal and external sonograms -- all of which felt more like requirements than options. It quickly became clear that they try to schedule as many appointments as possible, likely to bill more. Even after my pregnancy was confirmed, they kept asking me to return -- sometimes every other week -- for unnecessary follow-ups. Each visit involved at least an hour-long wait. I was initially told the practice was in-network with my insurance. However, after a few visits, I started receiving unexpectedly high bills. I was then informed I needed to sign over the insurance reimbursement checks directly to them. I did this for a few visits, but eventually stopped going because it felt like they were more focused on billing than care. Even after providing them with all the checks I received, I'm still being sent bills. I contacted their billing department multiple times -- first in November, when they told me it was just an automated message and not to worry, and now again, only to be told I need to contact my insurance and have the checks reissued. Save yourself the stress and go with another practice. This one has been nothing but a hassle.

I personally never experienced wait times of an hour, and can attest to the level of professionalism and compassion she puts into her work. My pregnancy was initially "normal" and although our routine visits were short, she was always cordial and thorough. During my 20 week anatomy scan at the hospital, I was diagnosed with cervical incompetence and told by the MFM doctor that I was already 2 cm dilated with bulging membranes, who recommended termination. Upon hearing the worst news of my life, my husband and I went to follow up with Dr Cheung. From that point on, Dr Cheung became our guardian angel. She supported our decision to continue the pregnancy and checked up with me frequently. When I was hospitalized for over a month she would routinely come see me and check the baby despite her having residents that could do the work for her. No other OBs came to visit their patients on the unit unless necessary. Even the L&D nurses and mother-baby nurses sang her praises and many used her as an OB. To make a long story short, my beautiful newborn son is here thanks to her, and for anyone considering an OB that truly loves her job and goes above and beyond, Cindy Cheung is that doctor. I would wait for 10 hours if it meant having her as a doctor again. On a side note, to address some of the other reviews, I believe that she asks husbands/ partners to come in later so that the mother has a private space to discuss any fears, concerns or issues without having the partner's interference. As a woman, I can see how that can be beneficial to women who are in certain relationships. She always allows the husbands/ partners come in after the initial first 5 minutes or so, and I don't see why that should bother someone so drastically.

The waiting area will have women waiting for all different types of services including abortions. The staff is all female. The doctor is male. I called for an appointment and was told to walk-in when they open at 10AM. When I arrived, I filled out some forms, gave them my insurance information and waited to see the doctor. Within 10 minutes I was in an exam room where the doctor performed a sonogram to confirm my pregnancy. He gave me the option of the abortion pill or the aspiration procedure. I chose the aspiration because I wanted to get it over with right away. I was told that I would be IV sedated and that my insurance would not cover that and I needed to pay $360. I don't actually know for certain if my insurance would or would not pay for it, but I wasn't going to argue because I did want to be sedated and I was glad my insurance was footing most of the bill. I was taken to the procedure room and knocked out with an IV and woke up with severe cramping which subsided in about 2 minutes. I rested and drank some tea and left with some antibiotics and a follow up appt. The entire process was one and half hours, in at 10am out by 11:30. I went home and rested for another 2 hours and I went about my day regularly after that. My husband was with me or in the waiting area the entire time. I called 3 other places before choosing this one. The receptionist is not very helpful at this particular clinic never informing me that I should not eat or drink 8 hours before. I only knew that for calling around other places. Otherwise I could not have been IV sedated. I think my conversation was less than 1 minute actually. The only reason I choose this office was because their website says they can finish the abortion in 1 to 1.5 hours. All the other places I called would run urine tests, blood tests, rh tests that would require me to stay there for 4-6 hours in a crowded stressed out waiting room. I hated the idea that I would be part of an assembly line. The Doctor is knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend New York OB/GYN for a relatively quick and painless abortion. Their website is a bit misleading, this is not a 'private clinic' where you won't bump into other patients, but other than that the information is accurate.
