A Truly Unforgettable St. Augustine Sunset Dinner Cruise!…read more We were thrilled to experience St. Augustine Sailing's incredible 3-hour Sunset Dinner Cruise! The night was magical, with gorgeous views of the bay, playful dolphins, and the absolute highlight--a five-course dinner by the talented @ChefWesleyNogueira from @khloeskitchen. Each course was a delight, from the artisanal charcuterie platter to spiced chicken meatballs with cranberry chutney, squid in tomato sauce, a perfectly cooked steak with mushrooms and ravioli, and a chocolate cake topped with Ferrero Rocher. Every bite was exquisite, and the sunset-lit waters of St. Augustine added a perfect touch of serenity. My instructor, Nuri, was not only highly knowledgeable but also made the learning process enjoyable. He explained the techniques in a clear and accessible way, even for a complete beginner like me. Nuri's expertise and teaching style made everything feel within reach, and I quickly gained the confidence I needed to learn. Feeling inspired, I joined Women on the Water to continue my sailing journey. After years of waiting to learn how to sail, I'm excited to be on this path. Though I still have a lot to learn, I'm thrilled that St. Augustine Sailing offers so many courses to help me improve and eventually become a skilled sailor. I highly recommend this sailing class to anyone, whether you're just starting or looking to sharpen your skills. I can't wait to get back out on the water!

On an unseasonably warm and picturesque day in Jacksonville, there is only one thing that would be…read morebetter than heading over to St. Augustine to go sailing, and that is heading over to St. Augustine to go relaxing while someone else does the sailing. And so it was that we came to Captain Cliff, his first mate, Pete and Always for Sail to charter a boat for a nice, relaxing afternoon for three. The afternoon was great, with great weather and calm waters, but Captain Cliff doesn't control the weather and the currents, so that's not why he's getting five stars. He's getting five stars because both he and his mate were knowledgable, personable, affable and competent. They engaged in conversation when it was appropriate and held back when that was appropriate. They acted as captain, crew, steward and tour guide and they did a great job doing it. In addition, the boat was kept in good condition - it was clean, spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend Always for Sail. They did a great job.

With a perfect 75° evening forecasted for a Saturday night, it seemed like an ideal way to enjoy the occasion. Their online booking system was easy to use, and after our credit card was authorized, we were all set for a 5:00 PM departure. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the dock, things took a disappointing turn. The business office was open, but no staff were inside. After asking around at nearby boats, we learned that no one from Sabrage had been seen all day. I called the number provided, only to reach voicemail. About ten minutes after 5:00, I finally received a callback informing me that they had simply overlooked our reservation and did not have staff available to run the boat that night. It's incredibly frustrating to book an event on a Friday, only to show up the next day and find out that the company didn't even check their reservations. Based on other reviews, it seems like the cruises themselves are enjoyable, but the lack of organization and reliability is a major red flag. If you do choose to book with them, I highly recommend calling ahead--maybe even more than once--to confirm that they're actually operating. To their credit, they voided the charge quickly, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. On a beautiful Saturday night in March, in a prime tourist location, I can't understand why a cruise company wouldn't be running. If not then, when? Given this experience, I have no plans to book with them again.
