We happened upon Nerces after driving past it many times before and are very glad we finally stopped in. Christine and her granddaughter Ariana were delightful and very helpful. My wife was looking to replace a ring that was lost years ago and after a short search of the store she found exactly what she was looking for. We feel it was priced very reasonably and purchased it on the spot. Ariana even gift wrapped it for us so I can give it to my wife on her birthday later this month. We now feel we have found our new jewelry store for life. Well done everyone!

I rarely write reviews, but the service I received at Van Gundy today was absolutely worthy of…read moretaking the time. I recently purchased a beautiful ring online from another seller. I loved the ring, but the setting appeared slightly warped and the center stone was not sitting completely straight. I scheduled an appointment at Van Gundy to have it assessed and find out whether it could be repaired or if I would need to have an entirely new setting made for my stones. They took the ring to the back so their jeweler could inspect it and prepare a repair estimate. Within just a few minutes, the jeweler had straightened the center stone, repositioned and tightened the prongs, and fully assessed the ring's structural integrity. Their verdict? No new setting was needed. The asymmetry was minor and fixable, the stones were secure, and they had even cleaned the ring. Then they told me there was no charge. What?! They repaired my ring for free and, in the process, talked themselves out of a potential sale. That level of honesty and integrity is rare. It is clear that Van Gundy is focused on building long-term relationships with clients rather than making a quick sale. I will absolutely be returning for future jewelry needs. 10/10 recommend.

Seven people in the shop and not one could help me with a loop or whatever. I'm trying to be cool but my tension rose. I've had my diamonds switched before by a jeweler that was in Ventura years ago ANYWAYS. I'm trying to be cool and say do you have a diamond tester machine? It registered diamond but I noticed that the machine clearly says diamond/moissanite on the machine. I asked for another test and the diamond "pen" registered it as moissanite also. The jewelers that were working both said they think it's diamond that I shouldn't be worried about anything. My sales associate suggested I come back again and talk to Robert and he will help me look at my new earrings to make sure everything is ok. What about this is even normal? No human or technology could put me at ease that my earrings /diamonds were in fact mine??? Normally I would just refer to the laser engraving on the girdle of the stone but I chose a bezel setting and it covers it. This shouldn't happen, this is literally their job. Lastly I noticed that on my receipt it says I paid credit card and I paid cash.
