This is a short term review for this ISP. Having been with a single service provider for over a…read moredecade one tends to be vary of the new upstarts when it comes to an essential service like internet. I was curious on switching my ISP as the fees kept creeping up and even with my well negotiated contract I was looking around for a new service source as didn't know what options I would have when renewing. I will give dotto one kudos for being persistent as after they initially got my contact they kept following up and even made it an easy decision to switch to their service with the penalty from the current provider. The installation was smooth and was done within an hour. I have a somewhat complex setup at home with some legacy equipment blended in with new tech. There was a technical glitch with the hardware on the legacy tech that made me connect with their support line a few times. They are quite helpful and being a smaller operation you even get the people who have dealt with your issue before hand. Believe me it's a big time saver not having to explain the issue again and again. With a few adjustments and troubleshooting on both ends I am satisfied with the service I have. I will update in the long run but so far a solid service. Update for long term usage. It has almost been a year and the service and support have been rock solid. A rarity IMO for the service industry in Canada. I am talking about no service calls requests after the initial issues, billing. The tech support went out of their way to help me out with a tech issue I was having initially. Updating to a 5 star rating (rare feat)

THE best internet provider in Toronto PERIOD I've been with…read morethem for several years and I have never had a single problem. They have extremely efficient and pleasant personnel and the most reliable internet service I've ever had, with reasonable prices (that never get jacked) to boot....kind of the opposite from the ratbastard telcos you're used to. I cannot recommend them highly enough and if you're fortunate to be in an area/building where their service is available, you'll be sorry if you don't sign on.

Then the trouble started; The Optik TV was slow to load the offered program. Taking a long time to load future listings. They cancelled my home phone and promised to give it back within ten days; Didn't happen. I'm still getting calls on the Temporary number. After 15 days I'd had enough and starting to cancel as I was allowed to do within 30 days. Resistance at every turn; putting me on hold for (usually for min.) forewarned; I harrased berated and abused agents mercilessly. until 2 weeks later an escalation person gave me telephone number of John who stopped the service within 1 Min. He promised to send return documents; by the time I got off of the phone He had hung up and the service was stopped. Telus cut the coaxial cable so a technichan had come to repair that .Telephone help; was a joke; Hours and of hours listening over and again to the same Music that you,ve heard in elevators or waiting rooms. Telecom companies in Canada are a horror show and they all apply the same tactics. Check on review sites and see for your self. I was warned before hand about them.Telus have a F minus rating with the B.B.B. Rogers/Show is only a bit better.

I am getting at least 10 calls a day. I went back to Eaton center try to explain and wanted to meet manager but sales staff said she is at back storage room but she cannot meet because she is looking after store retail not cellular service.

When I set up payments, Virgin's system offered to process the setup fee as a one time payment for $134.50 (why is this so high?) and confirmed it would be processed in 3-5 business days, with my balance showing as zero. I saved the confirmation. After the due date, I received a notice that I was late paying the set-up fee of $134. Customer service chat rep explained that the system "doesn't actually process one time payments" and "the system just says does that" and said I should have known this message was false. I was transferred to an accounting representative who repeated the same explanation and when I asked if he could just process the payment now - No, he wasn't authorized to accept payments. The $134.50 fee itself doesn't match any published Virgin Plus fees for a BYOD plan. The next month, I received a $40 bill instead of the agreed upon $35, and the bill needed to be paid. Curious, I asked the chat rep about the extra 5 and to check my preauthorized payments, I was told the system "just hasn't taken" it yet, the extra charge is tax and the best part "You don't need to contact us anymore, just read your contract." On their website, they state they are proud of their award-winning customer service. I've now requested that the $134.50 be corrected, but overall the experience has involved unclear billing, inaccurate system messages, and unhelpful customer service. I cannot recommend Virgin Plus based on this experience.

This place has been open for a few years, and looks to have a sister shop elsewhere in the city, going by googling the name, even though the sign looks different it's pretty close. They have a great selection of accessories with their phone cases clearly labeled and easy to find on the shelves. I asked about Apple Airtag cases and no bueno there tho. At the back there is a repair counter with fairly good prices, and in line with most of the other neighboring shops like this one. If you need a new screen, or new battery, this would be a good place to get a cash price especially for an older or cheap phone. Don't take your expensive newer iPhone here as you could likely end up with a downgrade in the parts, and instead go across the street to Jump Plus and get Apple genuine parts. That said, we came here for yet another new screen protector for an iPhone 11 Pro that's still under warranty. I could have taken that phone back to Costco and got a new SP for free under warranty, but since the phone isn't with me any more, it's easier to just go here and pay $15 cash and done. We grabbed a new bling case for $12 for the iPhone and the dude even gave us a deal on a display model personal USB fan, wowsa!
